That ‘mist’ verse, even to this Day, is staggering, the amount of times I’ve played that to people, and they just Totally miss the end bar! Lol...insane word play..

But for me it was that I didn’t like the flow of the song from Eminem/Jessie on that one and the beat was kinda meh.
BUT I still really like the *“Good Guy”* song they did together though.
the new "rain-mist" bar for me is that "flower-daisies" bar he have on "Walkthrough".... he make "pushin up daisies" become not just death but creating new life, a metaphor for inspiring new artists, and it's on a song with a new artist got signed to Shady.
Walkthrough is straight heat
The bawling bars in alfred theme ,is the greatest verse of all time IMO
That's a great verse, but in my opinion, his greatest verse is off of best friend
Ghost writer/rider bar on book of rhymes
The best bar on the album imo was the "you gotta be diamond to even climb in the ring" bar, that's one of the hardest lines Em has had lol
He got so many great bars throughout his career, it’s impossible to say which are the best
not the best, but not many rapper can use that bar lol

Crazy man! This album is how i found you guys! Been with ya ever since, personally i love Eminem's newer stuff Kamikaze/Music to be murdered by more then his older stuff . Don't get me wrong i love his old stuff. But the guy just keeps evolving.
I love his new stuff as well. The bars are just more sharp and mind blowing.

Time fucking flewwww. I feel like we have to change how we measure time. When someone says 10 years ago that shit doesn’t feel old anymore. Can’t believe this album is already 3 years old.

I hadn't listened to this album in a while and as you played some of the songs in this video while giving your thoughts. It made me realize that back then when people said Eminem was back, it wasn't just hype. He really was back. You could argue he was never gone, but it definitely felt like he was back how he went off on this.
Let's not forget, man was mid 40's when he dropped this....20 years into the game.

The best bars to me were the last 30 seconds of the title track when he slows it down and freestyles a bunch of bars back to back, plus the beat switch is nasty af

I love the contrast Em's beginning is to Joyner's. It's practically the exact opposite.
The ringer verse is most FIRE. The mist bar is the deepest. And the Mohammed Ali diamond in the ring bar is the hardest!
Also, Good Guy is the best relationship track of all time imo.
Your initial reaction was one of my favorites... cool to see how you feel three years later. I mostly agree with your fave bars, but Fall needs a little more love.. the music, the hook, his bars.. love the way he flows in that song.. plus the "Sorry I took Forever" line is genius.

I give best feature to Joyner too.. think of all the pressure he must have put on himself being on a song with Eminem as a relatively unknown rapper at that time... and he fucking delivered. Royce was dope as hell, but he's been there before. I give Joyner the edge because of the circumstances of what it meant to his career.
'Mist' verse is crazy but i didnt pick it up at 1st, its when ull broke it down i was DAMN! My fav bar that hit me like a home run right of the bat was "broken record", the way he words it and its pure facts as he keeps on breaking records like a broken record!🔥🔥🔥

Loved the video. You need to do more of these. I'd even say there is no harm in revisiting old classic albums like Illmatic, Doggystyle, MMLP, Eminem Show, and songs like Gangster's Paradise, Renegade, Hit Em Up, Criminal, Kill You, Ether, Dead Wrong, Hate me Now etc. Keep up the great work guys.

Ppl hate on “Revival” bc it’s popular and “cool” to do it. Bet 95% of the haters haven’t even listened to it. There’s ZERO drop off in the lyrics. It’s very bar heavy and the punchlines are amazingly executed. If you haven’t listened to it all the way through and are calling it trash, then you’re a fake and are just following trends like “Simon Says.”
I wouldn’t say Revival is trash it I give it a 5/10 it’s an ok album liked only 4 songs off that project.
Kamikaze for me is 8.9 or 9/10 💪🏽 I go back and forth on the score though.
