  • Not all baby animals are as cute as puppies and kittens. Some animals are, well, quite ugly. But it doesn't mean they’re not precious. Some of the features that make them ugly are evolutionary adaptations that have helped their species survive, in some cases for millions of years. In this episode of Baby Animals we visit four baby animals with adaptations that are both very useful and extremely funny-looking.
Our first stop is Reid Park, in Tucson, Arizona, where Toliver, a baby Baird tapir is a new resident.
Our second segment features Billy and Ambo, two baby gelada baboons at Dudley Zoo, in England.
Maui is a four-month-old giant anteater at the Santa Ana Zoo in California.
Then we meet Fergie, the Bactrian camel at the Dudley Zoo, in England.
