This is the latest version of Slave 1. Boba Fett’s ship seen in The Empire Strikes Back.
My 2nd ship review, this one is massive!

its crazy how the retail is 150 bucks for the re-release and back in 2013 it was around 66 bucks if I am not mistaken, it more than doubled. Its cool how it has room to fit 3 figures. I got the cheap 20 dollar one that one fits one figure in the cockpit
Yes the price increase is definitely insane!! This is my first Slave 1, never could afford them when I was a kid! 🤣
It's huge, even though it's scaled down.
A true 1:18 scale Slave One would be just short of 4 feet long!

I have vintage collection vehicles but not this one. It’s the first time I’ve seen this ship in detail. It look so awesome. I missed the first round of pre orders. Hopefully it will come up for order again and then I’ll be grabbing one.

Would love to see How this guy works for 6 inch figures? Obviously it would be too small to scale, but looks like you could custom a single seat in the cockpit for 6 inch figures…
You could make it work but it would definitely be way to small, you’d have to take the legs off the 6” figs for sure
I’d kill for a true 1/18 scale Slave 1 with a full interior and speeder bike / storage area. And lighting 🥂

Looks great loving the weathering and the added detail on the back. Even though I own the first release I'm still picking this up! Do wish the inside was more detailed and wish they didn't still use stickers. Great review and thanks for the closeups on the inside!!

Funny how the ship clearly flies with engines pointing horizontal but if you watch Mandolorian, it’s like nobody who worked on the show ever had this toy.

@@SeanSolo8 " stay focused" means avoiding bankruptcy... I just got the 2010 Walmart Jabba's throne set.. Remember that one? It's still by far the best 3.75 inch scale Jabba to date. It has the bendy wire tail and comes with Oola figure.. That will go great with the VC Jabba's Palace playset we got few yrs back and it will look even more fantastic once you deck it out with Jabba's goons and gamorrean guards... And when the new boba fett throne playset arrives later this year. And that fatso Bib Fortuna figure is sick! We will finally be able to re-create the scene from ROTJ.

If you have the new millennium falcon, you should've parked it next to this bad boy, it would've been nice to see the size difference.
The Falcon hopefully one day will be in my collection! I hope they do a refresh of the Legacy one. New paint and all. Let’s hope!
What I noticed that was wrong were the guns! Those are not the guns that were on the original ILM model. Why didn't they make the guns accurate. I had a code 3 replica of the Slave-1 and the guns were identical to the ILM model. It figures!

I always wanted Slave 1 way back when. All I ever got were tie fighter, Vader Tie, lukes landspeeder, a imperial troop transport and a couple of the little vehicles from Hoth.
I always wanted the XWing, M Falcon and a Sand Crawler mainly back then.
This new version I think has way more detail than the original issue toy. arrrgghh

Yes, I have a tie in box still too. Haven’t yet opened for the same reason, scored that for 19.99 on clearance. Definitely find a place for it though. The Slave 1 isn’t so bad with the stand. Less space then I thought.

The wings on mine are not warped, but they don’t lay flat either in flight mode.
After about a week my wings did flatten out naturally but yes, mine won’t stay flat in flight mode either. Always room for improvement. Thanks for stopping by and congratulations on such an epic score! 👍
if you haven't figured it out yet unscrew the back and change the spring to a weaker one from a pen etc worked like a charm for me

Skywarp 6599 pretty sure the only black series ship is going to be the Snow Speeder. They also made a huge Tie Fighter a while back.

That rubber on the wings was warped on mine as well. It doesn't seem like it is supposed to be like that. I plan on hitting it with a hairdryer and straightening it up.

Hasbro is seriously taking full advantage of us right now with the black series, and the vintage collection! Now haslab??? Basically a go fund me page to build vehicles! They are so afraid of loosing money because knowbody wanted the new trilogy stuff! So they now think there isn’t a market! Hen they can’t keep the isle stocked for more then an hour! Huge demand for baby yoda and you can find him anywhere! Why can’t they put more vintage collection figures and black series?? It’s mind numbing
Yes I’m absolutely blown away we can’t buy a Mandalorian figure. Anywhere.... Hasbro is definitely not doing this right. At least they are finally making figures we want but yes. I feel robbed and then I can’t find what I want!! Stupid. 😠
The only major downside is how inaccurate the ship is. The Seismic Charges come out of one port between the engines, the door on the side was never there, and the ship should be bigger than this.

The Millinum Falcon was the same way. I think they are still designing these as toys and not for us adult collectors. Otherwise I think they would pay more attention. The simplest changes, such as a better rear ramp with Han in Carbonite loading from the rear would have made this awesome. Just as making the Falcon cockpit pass through would have been cool. But still a must have. Much more detail than my original 80s Slave 1... gone but not forgotten 😥

7:57 Going all the way back to the first release of this vehicle in the Jango Fett colors, those parts of the wings have always had some level of warping to them. Its a bit worse on all the sample Ive seen so far of this latest release.

@@SeanSolo8 Oh thats good to hear. The were probably mashed up against something. You have something great with this one. I have the earlier release and its my favorite OT ship I own after the Imperial shuttle. I display it with a Boba Fett mini figure that is to scale with the vehicle.
With any luck people will put the display stand up for sale because I dont think I am going to be buying this release...but the stand looks really useful.
Yes the stand is great, I have it displayed at the very top of a bookshelf so it looks like it’s in flight way up high. Super cool. Someone is going to part one out eventually.

This version was the first that came with dirty paint details and a stand. The new Book Of Boba does too.

I just can’t get behind a ship that just a couple years ago, you could find in stores for 40 bucks! It just didn’t say vintage collection on the box ! I’m not paying 110 dollars for a box! I got the force awakens slave one just to get the boba figure
On the bright side you do get a Stand! I hear you completely though. It’s not our fault they couldn’t sell toys for 5 years thanks to Disney films.

I didn’t know there was a Slave 1 during TFA release, I only saw that Tie Fighter that ended up on Clearance. I’m sure that one is hard to get too!

Is basically a repackaging from the Rise Of Boba Fett's ToysRus exclusive. It is the same just weathered and painted as Hondo had it. I held off on buying one of these due to price. When I saw that Hasbro re-released it under the moniker “Boba Fett’s Starship” for 2022, I ordered a TVC Slave I. Fuck the woke bullshit. It will always be Slave I and you wont convince me otherwise.
