thank you omni and maestro fisk for such an interesting performance! it's sad for me to see all the negative comments. this is, after all, a live performance. as i watch eliot played. i only see his interpretation and phrasing. my mind heard perfection. i have played the guitar since i was in high school, until my unfortunate stroke in 1983 forced me to abandon my favorite pastime. however it cannot stop me from playing in my mind. my hands cannot express what i feel. m fisk played mostly his own transcriptions, so he has the right to play in a way he feels. he is very courageous not to succumb to popularity. those who disagree can try in a way you think feel appropriate. i especially appreciate the bach, torroba, de falla, paganini and pounce. sevovia has recorded the same suite by torroba. m fisk intense facial expression reminds me of violin maestro itzhak perlman. i don't think they are conscious of their display. glenn gould sang out loud when he played the piano. you can hear it in his recordings. i wonder why the sound engineers did not wipe it clean? thanks for reading my loong comment. i shall retreat and shut my trap.

For me, playing classical guitar (or any instrument for that matter) with such intensity needs to be done every now and then. It can be relieving, fun, but tiring. Mr. Fisk you have fingers of steal my friend. Sometimes performers play so gently that I hardly can hear what they're playing. What's nice is that those sitting in the back row will be able to clearly hear you. Thank you Omni Foundation and Eliot for the great concert!
What an absolute gem of a concert! I had the honour and pleasure of meeting Eliot in Boston during the 2013 Boston Guitar Festival. He is a gentle, humble and cheerful man, and an incredible musician. And, he hasn't aged a day. Remarkable.
I remember getting a guitar magazine about 30 years ago with one of those plastic records perforated like a removable page. Fisk was the featured artist, my beginner mind couldn’t comprehend the brilliance within the playing, 30 years later and I’m still in awe…
Big Respect, Maestro Eliot Fisk. Bravissimo!

Champion guitarist! I'd say a modern guitar hero. The difficulty of this program only shows his courage and commitment to the music and the instrument. Bravo Mr. Fisk!!!
Witnessing Elliot Fisk in action-this is one of the most inspired, exhilarating, and groundbreaking live classical guitar performances ever, delivered by a true innovator and genre-defying master. ❤️
GOD I LOVE Eliot Fisk!!! The POWER, The TRIUMPH he brings to his performances are like nothing else. The man is ABSOLUTELY COMMITTED to playing EXACTLY the way he wants and expressing *every *last *drop of musical beauty from his own very, very splendid and totally UNIQUE style. I can only hope someday to ever approach the grandeur and majesty of his complete surrender to the raging passions of the musical soul. Bless you Maestro Fisk!!!

His style isn't for everyone but his vision for his own sound is remarkable. Threading that fine line between uptight strictness and uncontrollable passion.
Literally, the most brutal rendition of this Bach suite I have ever heard by a professional guitarist. He was clearly underprepared for this, nervous or out of concert routine here. His recordings are stellar in comparison.
He is without a doubt an awful live performer. I've seen him twice in person and both times he was ... just bad...... He has ridden Segovias coat tails like no other
At 10:50 It's just some pain we can't understand anything he plays. He just murder the piece nothing make sense every note is cut, dirty nothing clean except maybe cadence... To much ponticello can't even distingue the melody... Too rush, zero ZERO sweetness
Mr Fisk plays every piece as if he needs to pee very urgently! His undoubtedly expensive guitar sounds as if played by an inebriated banjoist. It's almost as horrendous as Kazuhito Yamashita's performance of Pictures at an Exhibition, which made half of the audience leave and the remainder vomit. @@florentin6635
I first saw Eliot at Stetson University in Deland Florida. He a gave a great performance, it was nice to be able to go out ; and not worry about face masks, and airborne diseases. It was 2005 when things were much better, as I taught classical guitar and gave dozens of classical guitar performances. And it was a treat to just watch for a change. I also composed several works for the classsical guitar, but, I use them to further my playing these days. Because the ''etudes and preludes'' I write, are great practice pieces. The guitar gallery at the university was top notch, I played for hours in there. Omni Foundation is also top notch in my eyes!
I remember years ago hearing him on the radio playing the Paganini Capriccios…..couldn’t believe the technique…..went out immediately and purchased the CD.
The ability ,competence to pull off this program (at these tempos especially)in concert is just staggering. His musicality might not be everyone’s taste but he is a virtuoso without doubt
I couldn’t agree more, Mr. Fisk is damn near supernatural in his ability to summon the power, grandeur, and above all textural abilities of the guitar. I’ve been in awe of him all my adult life.

No one performs on guitar with the excitement and musicality of Eliot. Por Ti Mi Corazon literally brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. Beautiful tone, beautiful expression, beautiful music. What a marvelous program filled with so much wonderful music. For all those technically precise players out there, listen and watch this master. He was the 1st to perform all the Bach Partitas & Sonatas in their entirety; no one even thought it possible until Eliot. The 1st to perform all the Caprices of Paganini. He has brought many modern composers into the standard repertoire and too many other firsts to list. He is the master to emulate. Thanks, Eliot, for all you have given to me. It was a pleasure to spend last evening and this morning watching and listening to this full performance repeatedly. Until, I see you...
I adore Maestro Fisk’s living, fresh, vibrant Bach transcription and performance! Gorgeous tone, powerful punctuated attack, and incredibly imaginative, expressive, evocative ornamentation that is an art unto itself. Haters, you don’t understand, music isn’t supposed to be simply a “perfect” or “correct” recitation…it’s a living, breathing, coursing thing, that must be free, it must speak, it must manifest a mystical grandeur from a place deep inside. Mr. Fisk dives deep into the musical well, it’s all we can do to witness and bathe in the majesty he generously draws forth for all humankind.
The Bach Prelude seemed so harsh, brutal and rushed after four measures I couldn't continue watching. It did, however, seem to capture that uniquely American quality of urgent determination.
Great performance, Thank you. As a would be classical guitar player who finds committing pieces to memory difficult, it cheers my heart to see you referring to the score. Andy
Brilliant 🤩!!! Applauses 👏!!! I haven’t heard so different interpretation and so sophisticated in terms of dynamic of de Falla piece for such a long time. Thank you so much for recording the concert 🎶!!!

That's a guarantee for sure. He's going to push those boundaries and even extend a few. It's bold and never boring. Beyond simple entertainment. Better have your bags packed cause Elliott is gonna take you outside of safe places. 40:14
I saw Eliot Fisk perform a couple times in the Syracuse, NY area where he went to high school. The first time was way back in the late 70s as a teenager. And later at the Skaneateles Festival.
Man is a force in the raw nature, he plays with the race of what he gives, and who is criticizing is because he did not understand the proposal of this concert
I just respect the hell out of another musician who can blow a note in the first 10 measures or so, and then just say "screw it, moving on." I was absolutely dreadful in recital, and wouldn't have survived that.
