Love the painted fireplace wall. Kinda like the idea of the mirror too 😉. Placement of two wall lights are striking over the credenza. I am missing other light sources in room. Love the sight lines into adjacent rooms. Just beautiful.🍒
We are talking about getting some floor lamps for the center but I’ve been suuuper slow to purchase because I want them just right... and a cool chandelier. It’s a work in progress!

Hands down this is my favorite aesthetic in terms of color, decor and furniture arrangement. The cloudy day gave the room such a vibe, similar to the Pineapple DECOR channel of Scandinavian design.

I agree. I like the fireplace with nothing on it. It is a piece of art and “a moment” as is. Anything on it will detract from the drama and make it look squat below and blah above.

I love the massive monolith effect all by itself. I also think the "blank" space over the fireplace balances all the details in the secondary focal point across the room. Anyway: great job!

1st thing-I want that dress you’re wearing! lol But I do really obsess over anything with an animal print. 2nd thing-For the same reason I want the animal print pillows on your sofa. They look so soft and comfortable. 3rd thing-I simply love to watch videos with the two of you as your relationship is so inspiring. You can easily see the love you share with each other and your family. 4th thing-the way Jack was describing Fall in Copenhagen is how I felt when we moved from St Louis to Heidelberg Germany in October 1996. It was really magical. Our walks in the woods or through town really brought the feeling of the season. 5th thing-I love, love, love this room!! Everything in it is beautiful, but my favorite area is the cabinets with leaning art and the two sconces. 6th thing-a gorgeous antique mirror leaning on the mantel would be my choice. A large antique you’ve acquired on your travels.

Ah. I have been making leather cushions/pillows for quite a while now from charity shop finds (coats mostly) . Athough, im sure your pillow wasn't recycled or home sewn 😊. I've also just finished making a large leather plant pot holder! I know, rather nuts......
