He's not trying to impress you with his skills, he's rocking to rock. It's for fun, it's for a laugh, it's therapy. He does what he does because he's into it and it's just a bonus that other people are super into it too. Wednesday is my favorite musician and artist. Totally adore the guy.
The thing about W13 is that he's actually a really good guitarist. He has performed the guitar on all of his solo records, with the exception of Calling All Corpses. He performed not only the rhythm, but all the lead AND solos on all those albums.
I don't get why are people mocking him? If the riff sounds good, who cares if it's easy to play? I really like the sludge-ish feel in Wednesday's riffing.
I found Wednesday 13 when insides out dropped. Not the song to get introduced to them by. But I did some searching and found silver bullets!!! Omfg that band is great
I have a ESP LTD Phoenix 200, got it from Wednesday 13, signed....I wish I could play like he does....I think he is a great musician, he play a lot of instruments, he is a great singer too, and a cool person, really. If you like the music or not. There are great musicians that play music that I don't like, that doesn't mean they can't play....It just means I like something different...
when i had payed guitar for about two years and listened to this kinda stuff i used to think "omg noob i can play that and i've just ben playing for two years" but now about a year later i think "hmm that's a nice riff and i could easily plat that but could i write it?"
My point is not to say that Sabbath was not complex. I have heard about everything they have done. Paranoid, War Pigs, Hand of Doom, Iron Man, N.I.B. were some of the first songs I learned on guitar and they are pretty easy to play. None of this was a shot at Sabbath or a disregard towards their talents. They were merely an example illustrating that you do not have to play like Steve Vai on every track to achieve rock greatness.
I see you have a habit of missing the point. So I will try once more. You are talking about the genre of music more than you are talking about him. Horror punk, glam metal, etc... don't exactly require steve via-like guitar playing. For all you know he can play like that but his genre of music does not call for it. Besides, a lot of bands use simple instrumentals and are great. Black Sabbath is not necessarily the most complex band in the history of music but they are still iconic.
I would much rather hear some simple chugging and riffing like all the other shredders with something to prove. I want to hear what the guitar sounds like, not some idiot on an ego trip that wants to show you he can solo, like 3,000,000,000 other fools on TH-cam. See, this guy doesn't have to impress. He's in a band, has endless fans and women, and you don't. Cool eh?
More than likely to make it affordable for people who cant afford a firebird and honestly i dont mind. Firebirds are sexy as hell and this guitar is as well.
Anyone who knows anything about music knows that he is anything but emo. There is a difference between Hawthorne Heights and Alice Cooper-inspired graveyard rock. Maybe you should become more informed before you start talking to people
Yeah but his amps are like $4000+ so a plank of wood whith a chicken wire/fridge magnet pickup would likley sound decent. Fucking awsome guitar though...I'm gonna save up byt the phoenix-200 cause I know I cant save up enough for this beaut. :(
Hahaha how the hell would you know? No offence but your credibility lessens more and more with every word you say. He plays in a genre that is relatively easy to play. I will admit that and I can play a lot of his stuff with ease. But that has more to do with his genre (by the way we are talking about one of the multiple genres he has done) than it has to do with him as a guitar player. I am willing to bet you have never heard him jam on his own time to back up what you say.
@dio363 how much money you make doesn't have anything to do with tallent... look at it this way: Justin Bieber is rich because of his music... so according to your comment Justin Bieber is one of the most tallented persons in the world? Just sayin'...
Flubbing notes…WTF. flub , verb, flubbed, flub•bing, noun verb (used with object), verb (used without object) 1. to perform poorly; blunder; bungle: He flubbed the last shot and lost the match.
No its too easy.......I shouldnt do it. I am not a mean spiritted person. I will leave you to think you are smart and somehow superior because you obviously need it.
ok, some one needs to tell ESP how shitty the guitar tones sound on their videos,, it's not the players,, it's not the system i play everything through, jackson's channel sounds great,, this is video 3 in a row , they all have this flat muffled sound , like someone cut the boost pedal , and put a blanket over the amp
@MoronRaving how do you know? Who knows.. i might be the best singer in the world! I'm not.. but you can't bossibly know that, judging by a comment on youtube

I agree. Music is an art form not a sport.

Thank you for your opinion. I know that they have guitars for other types of music but the majority use them for metal
fuck i would love to meet wednesday 13 he seems like a fucking chill dude :D
@mappelby He is and DAMN can he put away the Jack! I have had the pleasure of hanging out with him on several different occasions.
1:43 I have always preferred the bolt on necks, I can get a bit abusive when playing so replacing the neck is much cheaper and easier with a bolt on.
Me & u play alot alike good luck in the studio, iam writing music now for my new LP see u soon on WASTE SOME TIME . JET
it's just too bad he doesn't play vipers anymore. i loved his custom viper with the red hands on it.
When will they make a baritone scale and a 7 string version with locking trems? Id love to have one with some active emgs in it
What is he called on Tuesday?
He's so perfect :')
Looks just like my actual ESP version sounds like the same specs as well. Is there a difference between the two besides price?
@TheMetalhead804 it is. i have yet to try the hetfields. what did you play them on?
great vid! loooove the tone :-)
I know drug me to hell but what other riffs was he playing?

@psyckla5 actually yea. thanks for asking.
That is a phat tone.
Wednesday 13 Rules!!!!!!
not all rock has to be difficult to play. if it sounds good and he has fans I doubt he gives a flying fuck
I LOVE him!
@TheMetalhead804 eh the new x series is pretty good. also you should try out the new hetfield pickups.

@billycrash138 you having fun sifting through all these comments?
I dont you guys realized that this is a guitar review, not a skill show off.
ESP guitars are MADE for metal
I like the guitar, but if I buy one am I required to paint my fingernails and wear sunglasses indoors? Cuz I'm not cool enough for all that.
WEDNESDAY 13 THE BEST
More than likely to make it affordable for people who cant afford a firebird and honestly i dont mind. Firebirds are sexy as hell and this guitar is as well.
He looks so fckn pretty omg ❤
that thing is fuckin sick..
You think you might be a tad bias though?
However, agreed. :)
He's good at guitar, focus on his singing.
@billycrash138 Sorry. I'm from Sweden!
@Metallimeister They do, look at their website, plus, anything gibson can do, any other company can do better.
He's showing a guitar ot his chops.
Anyone who knows anything about music knows that he is anything but emo. There is a difference between Hawthorne Heights and Alice Cooper-inspired graveyard rock. Maybe you should become more informed before you start talking to people
@Metalobsession94 and you're obviously not the best speller either. it's called writing great songs. which is what he does.
They can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'
@GameKid98 get it right i'm 11 and a half!
@Metalobsession94 and you're still sitting in your moms basement
wow, a lot of trolling going on here. you people all need hobbies,
@TheShortestStruuaaww agreed

By not sucking.
:)
I like it , but it screams "Let me be a vintage tri-burst!"
Needs EMGs
@MrCarltregale Well then you should tell your grandma that she's pretty good at guitar.
Looks alot like a Thunderbird
I have told her that she is adequate at guitar!
He plays guitar like my grandma!!
Steve Vai oh god haha, nevermind son

seriously.. i wrote riffs like this with my first band when i was like 13 years old...
And ur career is going great....
Good for you
I care not
Maybe he's successful because he's in an emo band
Lame !!
...and you're the best but you still do gay stunts for little Richard
you know nothing about ESP lol
All this guy does is palm mute some basic powerchords, nothing special
just shows you dont gotta be good to be famous
All I need to know is that I've been playing guitar for 4 years and I'm way better than this bum
That's why youre so successful and famous...
Cramps T-Shirt for the win!
