A great video i liked the closeups about the tiles and chimneys your videos helps me with my recovery from my brain tumour and stroke as I try to get back to my modelling my modelling 😅
Great to watch as I got that very kit in OO gauge for Christmas. I’ve already done the cinema, bank and service station so have had a bit of experience with these kits and enjoy making them. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year. Roy.
Literally just finished exact same kits. I had trouble with building B doorway windows as well, wouldn't stick very well. Looks ok now finished thankfully. I am going to build a couple more 'Bs' and join together before joining A and C on ends. Metcalfe always enjoyable to build. Looking forward to new Cottage and Castle.
These are great kits. Really easy to construct and kit bash. Before lighting I used the Woodland Scenics lighting accessories to make sure there was no light bleed. I'd recommend you try them Simon. Cheers Euan
Hi Simon, I built these kits during the first lock down and I agree with you about the tricky bit’s. I made it a bit harder for myself to as I’m not keen on the Metcalfe roofs and used roof tiles from York Model Rail. Getting some of the angles right proved tricky and around those dormers too! It’s a really nice kit and they are a blessed relief after building Scalescenes kits! Now I must find out how you got that kit to build itself.....Cheers Simon, John
Hi Simon, brilliant video...them self build kits are like finding hens teeth!! Looks a great model though...Metcalfe kits are, I think, why we got into card modelling in the first place. I haven't built one in a while though and it's fantastic to see they are getting to look a bit more 3D like, as well. So well done to them and you for sharing and the inspiration, cheers, Neil.
Hi Simon, love the way you’ve put this video together, really great!!big fan of those Metcalfe shops, I have them on my town scene. You can pick up 3D printed chimneys on eBay for a couple of quid that work really well on both metcalfe and Scalescenes kits. Cheers Geoff

Nice looking buildings, I like the Metcalfe kits as they seem a bit sturdier than other cardboard kits.
Yes they are sturdy and the print lasts 👍
