I want the haul soooo bad.. but Caleb didn’t go visit with anyone besides the Bears which means no one else has his medicals.. would Commanders still trade for Caleb?.. idk seems so unlikely but I’ll hold out a smidge of hope.
I'm not sure about the rules with medicals. I'm thinking he could have already given them to whomever he wanted to have them. Also, I think he may be able to visit Washington outside of the Top 30 visits (not sure they even need to declare that publicly) since he was a local kid. The same would be true with J.J. McCarthy visiting with Chicago. (Keep hope alive!)
@@JustChuck1 great point on local visits! I know Caleb would have to disclose his medicals on his own because the Bears can’t due to HIPAA privacy laws. You’d thinkkkk this information would get leaked somehow if he did share his medicals and if he does do a local visit with the Commanders. Here’s to hoping!

Spot on. I just had this discussion. JJ McCarthy was the logical choice. Poles is building a generational team with a certain system and style of offense and defense. He has a process that is based on building through the draft. Taking Williams doesn't fit that process. Trading down dose. Flus and Poles want a ball control QB. Williams isn't that McCarthy is.

I so hope you are right on this one. Washington’s second and third round picks this year and a second rounder next season should get it done. I like Mayes, McCarthy, and Pennix over Williams anyway, hell Rattler and Nix are not bad prospects either. Build a great team and the QB looks a lot better.

If the Bears didn't want Caleb Williams they wouldn't have traded last yrs QB1. If the Bears weren't sold on Caleb Williams they would've taken other QB prospects out to dinner, and attended their pro days. They are not trading back the #1 draft pick for the haul when you've traded the face of the franchise QB for a 6th rd draft pick.

Finicially, the Bears could've signed Fields to a 5th yr extention without having to pay him like a francise QB. That's two more yrs before Fields would ask for the big QB contract. That's two more yrs of the Bears taking a risk that Justin Fields is the right QB to lead a rebuilding team to the playoffs. The Bears did not want to take that risk. It has nothing to do with dollars, and everything to do with risk/reward. Caleb is the reward. Justin remains a risk.

Daniels played in the SEC against the best defenses in the country meanwhile his was one of the worst. He won the Heisman because he’s better. JF at Ohio State also played against higher level comp, had better #’s and WON. Caleb looks good against terrible defenses and I already did an analysis on this & proved it. Personally, I’ll try down and take the haul and acquiring, perhaps acquiring Jaylen Daniels or JJ McCarthy , Obtaining perhaps a couple second runners this draft And drafting a wide receiver and with her name, obtained that blue chip offensive tackle or guard to protect our generational quarterback . Just saying.
At this point Jayden Daniels is out for us. We didn’t meet with him at his pro day. Didn’t have him out for a top 30.. it’s either JJ or Bo Nix, if not Caleb. Those are the only ones we met with at their Pro Days and JJ might do a local visit which doesn’t count towards top 30. We won’t know on that one.
All signs really do point to Caleb but I’ll hold out a little bit of hope for JJ if it means we get a haul and get to build out alllll the positions of need 🙏

He holds the ball IN COLLEGE longer than Fields did in the pros. Justin also had the Sam problem coming out, not taking/seeing the 1st read & big play hunting. His 3.44 & 3.2 seconds to throw with a bad o-line is what is Field’s biggest problem. You don’t know ball young man & that’s ok 👌

If you look at his other two years he played he is getting the ball out and he's throwing from the pocket. Fields holds a ball long because he's slow at processing information and seeing the field. Way two different scenarios between them both. Fields also likes to run. Daniel also likes to run. Both Daniel and Fields have a similar slow throwing motion. Where Williams has a super quick release. Caleb Williams also throws off the platform. Daniels and Fields have to set their feet and throw the direction their facing.
