- On Monday 23rd October I visited The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) to film and photography the A4 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. Staying at Grosmont I captured Sir Nigel Gresley being prepared in the Grosmont MPD, and then taking the opportunity to capture Sir Nigel Gresley at Grosmont Station. Before returning home, I stopped of at the New Bridge Signal box to capture the arrival into Pickering.

I've been in the cab of it at Grosmont station during its last day for 2023, absolutely stunning
Would love to see Sir Nigel on the West Somerset Railway. Maybe not accurate but what the hell
The opening looks and sounds like the theatrical entrance of the Queen Xenomorph.
You could certainly do with some Lazer lights to go with the curtains of steam hehe.
I do llike your camera angles and you captured some good stuff. Just on a personal note, I found the stills got in the way but it will not stop me watching more of your videos. I have subscribed.

Hi Barry thanks for watching and your comment and feedback. What I can do is add photos towards the end of videos so it doesn't interrupt the video as much :-).
Your idea sounds good to me, but they are your videos and you must do it the way you would like to see it. Just seeing these beasts in the way you get them is a treat. Seeing videos of great steam engines thundering past at a good speed is always good to see but not everyone can get the coal stage, the token stage, the reversing stage, the cleaning the lubing etc like you can. Carry on the good work, I will watch regardless.

@@Castlebridge-00 Hello thank you. I agree, it's nice to try and capture all aspects along the heritage railways and the small details. All the best.
Beautiful loco!! Where is the headlamp?
I think it may be hidden behind the name plate on the front.
You can't put a headlamp and a headboard all on the same lamp bracket?
It doesn't need lamps whilst on shed, but you can see them on the brackets over buffers out on the 'main line'
Thinking about visiting this week, was there many parking spaces available in and around the area? Great video, Andy
Hi Andy there were a few spaces in the main car park when I arrived about 9am which went quickly. Other nearest place is the car park to the country park just down the road. Hope you get to visit .
If you want to get on the footplate just dress up as a police officer 😂
