- I am reviewing a house sparrow trap that is made by Amish people in Northwest Indiana. the company is called nature unlimited and they do not have a website. you can call them at 260-593-0610. they are closed on sundays. just leave a voice mail and a number to call you back.

Would you do a video on the best ways to use the repeating sparrow trap? I have one but it seems the sparrows will not go past the drop zone. I've used many different types of bait but without success. Thanks

I still have Trio ST-1 trap around 1992 Trio nature house for $25, I have caught manny HOSP in it. In 2014 I dispatch around 45 my neighbor was let breeding. I haven't seen one till last week, I caught the female with bread, nesting material, male lelf thought that was strange he didn't stay. Dave's pretty cool guy, bought 3 Imperial houses, gourds, brackets last August up there. Troyer dose sell the ST-2 same trap $94.

I talked to Dennis today from Nature Unlimited, real nice guy, $69.99 plus 15 bucks shipping to Rochester, NY, it's a done deal & on it's way and I did mention how I learned of this product so thanks Rick for this video & your other birding videos.
For every sparrow trapped and removed from the area, another will move in. They are territorial. If you have nothing better to do with your time, go for it.

I see a place out of Texas I believe selling a ST-1, looks just like your old trap. 85 bucks plus 11 & change for shipping to western, ny. If your amish connection is in that ball park I will consider ordering from them, but first do u see anything you like about the Amish trap over the ST-1? I kinda like the idea of the solid trip pan in the Amish trap, thanks
My guess, if someone is selling it out of Texas that doesn't mean they're making it. The company that was making this was in Chicago. They bought Trio the one that makes all the aluminum Martin house. They stop making this and I know that for a fact. That doesn't mean they didn't have some in stock to sell. Andrew Troyer is selling the one I have in this video. But it is being made by the people that I am promoting. What do I like about this new one? You can adjust the trigger mechanism so to speak. You can make it very sensitive. Give that phone number a call. You will get a voicemail tell you which extension to push. You want nature Unlimited. Tell him what you're interested in and they will call you back. When you talk to them tell them Rick cruise sent you. You can negotiate a price with them and see what they say. I have always found them to be very negotiable when it comes to prices. I do not get anything to promote their products. Over the years I've just discovered that they make really good stuff and I like to tell people about good products. I do not like cheap products when it comes to purple martins and bluebirds.

Rick I went with the Amish built trap from Nature Unlimited. It was $69.99 plus &15 shipping to western, NY. I ordered it Monday & it arrived today. The place in Texas gets $85 plus 15 shipping, but other than price I liked the design of the trip pan/bait tray of the Amish built trap. Thanks again for all your informative videos, I have learned alot in a few short months!
@@timmastin927 you can set that trap to be very sensitive where the bar to the top meets the notch in the spring mechanism.. I have caught several the last few days with no bait in them as they try to get to the live decoys in the repeater below it... If you have any issues just call them back..They like feedback and are always looking to improve things... Glad they were able to help you out. You know they dont really advertise but I tell them I will promote anything they have that I like. I know the Amish man who makes the Gilbertson Bluebird houses..He lives in the next town over from Topeka IN... Everytime I visit him he GIVES me his rejects....Let me tell you, rejects from Amish made stuff is excellent stuff.
Hi Rick, im trying to get my purple martin colony started, last year I had one pair that did flege two babies in a BO9 s&k gourd with clinger hole, this year im useing the Conley II and the one ASY male will stick his head in and won't go in, this has been going on for a week, he won't even look at the Belled shaped hole.
He must not be familiar with those holes.... In an established colony I dont think this would be an issue.... I have troyer tunnels on my Imperial house.

Hello. We ordered what we thought was the trap you demonstrated. Dennis at Nature Unlimited shipped us the FCST sparrow trap which only has 2 compartments. Are you familiar with that trap? Comments please. Thank you
