I really like the scene of the Narrative's equipment being removed intercut with Jona's suit being taken off. Both are done piece by piece and both come across as equally procedural and impersonal. It's common for a Gundam story to tell us a character is being used as nothing more than a weapon or machine by the cold authorities, but this scene gets that same idea across visually and it works just as well if not even better. Sometimes less is more.
I feel like Jona is doing this by his own will and doing it to bring back Rita. He is absolutely alright being used as a tool for Michelle. Michelle on the other hand wants to believe that Jona is doing this for her sake and not for Rita, because her final lines in this episode hints that she might have feelings for Jona, but Rita "has everything that she wanted", and maybe Jona's heart is in that everything. It's a pretty sad love triangle.
The Gundam is one with the pilot, and the pilot is one with the Gundam... Especially with the titular suits in Unicorn and Wing, as they seem to almost have a mind of their own...

The way it ties into Unicorn is very good, and the fact it doesn’t ignore Banagher or the entirety of the OVA just cause is very satisfying. The Phenex was the result of the EFSFs hubris and the fact they didn’t understand Jack about Psycho Frame, making it a horrifying concept but amazing execution
Tbh I feel like it's the pacing and the flow of the story Everything was just TLDR-ed to the point it just felt like it didn't make sense, mainly their back stories. I mean, how did Rita lose her shit and cause that incident? Did she do it intentionally because she foresaw the future and had to destroy Zoltan and his neo zeong? (even before wondering how did Rita "dispose" her mortal body? It's not like she just yeet the body out of the cockpit of phenex?). But if that's the case? Why cause numerous casualties? Did she use that as an excuse to take out her frustration against the federation for treating her like a lab rat? Imo this should've been a 3 part series minimum. One showing the previous history from both the protagonist and antagonist side Also the plot was dumb at the end cuz of the whole "we sacrificing life to find out how to reverse time cuz some girl w adopted daddy issues wanna reverse age him" and especially the justification by Michelle's butler/simp /assistant

But like... Since when? When did Rita know about it to exist? And did she go ahead with it after being taken away by the titans to be a lab rat? And if it did why didn't she destroy the neo zeong when it was getting made, alongside the 2 sinanju steins (one changed to sinanju for FF) after the incident? Especially since it is implied she has some form of omnipotence per se. Cuz it was like ALLL the events that transpired was intentional by her to lead to this event and destroy zoltan which is just.... How and why I think if let's say the psycoframe went berserk due to the feedback + her repressed feelings for being a lab rat made the phenex go batshit and then she set off to interfere when needed which would also explain the hiatus (like a celestial being from 00 approach) would've been a more interesting plot cuz it would make more Rita interesting than the current "OK she had bad times but we won't specify what happened exactly" Or actually follow through the strong opening. Actually from what I've skimmed, it's a prototype NU Gundam that they had left behind from before Char's rebellion. It too has Psycho-frame built into it, but not nearly as much as the Nu did. It was a test-bed for technology testing that made it into later suits, that's why it's just bare bones armor and barely any joint covering. It's the only Gundam-type left with even a little Psycho-frame that can dent the Phenex. Plus it's kinda funny. Gundam NT, which is it's name, "NarraTive" What comes after T? U. NT is the precursor to the NU. Yeah NT also stands for New Type, but it's also a clever yet subtle way to show that this is a prototype Nu Gundam. I thought it was really clever how they were able to work that in.
If you remember Gundam UC Episode 7 OVA, they showed god-like powers at the end, so way too dangerous. And Minerva and the others would have to be on the run all the time unless they made a deal with the Federation, so the condition was that both Unicorn & Banshee becomes dismantled so no one is able to use their powers again.
Banagher and Riddhe showed the EFF just how powerful the Unicorn Gundams were, the Unicorn was capable of wiping out mankind and so they had to destroy it. And that’s pretty much there excuse at the end of every Gundam show so that it never shows up again

Is the third friend, the one who wants to be reborn as a bird, even inside the phenex? Or is it a ghost in the shell situation, where her body is dead, and it's just her soul/mind inside that machine? I wouldn't be surprised given that flashback of a surgical operation.
From what I've read from looking up the source material, she *did* pilot it physically, but sometime after the Phenex went wild, her physical body died, but due to her Cyber-Newtype connection to the Phenex's Psycho-Frame, her consciousness, her soul, remained, now residing inside the Phenex, which is basically her new body. She essentially *is* the Phenex itself. A Phoenix... A bird... Just like what she dreamed of being reincarnated into... Well my mind is currently blown.
Moist Von Lipwig she got Eined basicly, and i would assume the 3 of them are related to the titans somehow with all the black feddies uniform. So its not out of the place gross shit are done to them.
taking a look of the colony drop in this new rendition make it the most apocalyptic event caused by man kind, a scale of destruction that has never seen before, when history is written down, it will go down as the most destructive act ever committed.
The older shows, especially the original MSG, never showed it and the actual scale of chaos it caused, this did, and I can't look at Zeon the same again.
That asks the question though. If one colony drop did that much damage to the Earth. How the fuck did humanity in the After War timeline survive the colony drops?
Nah man, there's no way this nonsense could fit in with the rest of U.C. Unicorn was pushing it as it made CCA entirely pointless. I don't think Tomino expected idiots to come in almost three decades later with filler for time gaps he left behind. If Zeon isn't completely destroyed and psychoframes aren't somehow ditched by the end of this, F-91 wouldn't make much sense and by extension nor would Crossbones.
@Elios0000 I think you mean Hathaway's Flash lol. And perhaps, I haven't read the manga but I always hear it's pretty good, if not a little bit different from the usual Gundam formula. Let's hope it can put a good taste in everyone's mouth after this bitter garbage is done and forgotten.
The biggest difference between UC and everything else, is UC designs are really down to earth and emphasis on practicality, 08th MS is the pinnacle of that example. Everything else will have very flashy design, then make up some reason for them to be that way. Looking at this I'm begin to feel that trend is about be broken, I feel like I'm watching a very high budget Gundam Seed video.
I can't help but feel that the very basis of the idea of human innovation to new types in the Gundam series is spiritual. I wonder if the original author is a spiritualist. Even if the original author is not aware of it, I feel that the Newtype theory that Zion Daikon advocated in the story, that "as human beings in space adapt, their cognitive abilities expand and people come to understand each other without the slightest deviation," has something in common with the spiritual expansion of cognitive abilities and the awakening to the truth of the universe through repeated "awareness. Am I the only one who feels spirituality in the dialogues related to new types, especially in the timeline from First Gundam to Unicorn (I don't know, I've only seen fragments of the rest)? If I were to put it another way, I would say that the innovation to become a Newtype is a new awakening that comes from realizing the soul that exists within a person. For those who understand, I have had a glimpse of truth and an experience of oneness. Therefore, I believe that there is a bright hope for the future of humanity. I feel that the realization of the characteristics of the new type, that is, the expansion of cognitive ability and the ability of people to understand each other without the slightest deviation, will not be so difficult for humans in the not-so-distant future who have awakened to their existence as souls and have evolved by improving their spirituality. I think the original author is probably saying that what he wants to say most is the innovation of people into new types, and that's where humanity should aim.

It’s Gundam, after the story is over, you never see that suit again
But y tho was there a reason to dismantle them?

Same, and Angelo! They are also playing the Riddhe OST @ the 5:07 mark

Is the third friend, the one who wants to be reborn as a bird, even inside the phenex? Or is it a ghost in the shell situation, where her body is dead, and it's just her soul/mind inside that machine? I wouldn't be surprised given that flashback of a surgical operation.
Feddies are fucked up in the head. They took her brain then stuffed it inside the Phenex as an AI. At least that's what I've read.
From what I've read from looking up the source material, she *did* pilot it physically, but sometime after the Phenex went wild, her physical body died, but due to her Cyber-Newtype connection to the Phenex's Psycho-Frame, her consciousness, her soul, remained, now residing inside the Phenex, which is basically her new body.

taking a look of the colony drop in this new rendition make it the most apocalyptic event caused by man kind, a scale of destruction that has never seen before, when history is written down, it will go down as the most destructive act ever committed.
The older shows, especially the original MSG, never showed it and the actual scale of chaos it caused, this did, and I can't look at Zeon the same again.
Indeed no way you could look at this and say that zeon what fighting a just cause.
True, their motives were pure (freedom, the purest of motives), but the way the carried it out was just unnecessary.
I was thinking how much more brutal this gets at every new iteration.
That asks the question though. If one colony drop did that much damage to the Earth. How the fuck did humanity in the After War timeline survive the colony drops?
What's important for me is the HG Gustav Karl and the Dijeh. This finally made them happen. This makes me happy. :)
Psychoframes don't exist anymore by the time F91 happens. So I'm going to assume the events of NT is the reason for that?
It ties into F91 in some way, but we gotta watch it to find out
Nah man, there's no way this nonsense could fit in with the rest of U.C.

ナラティブ最高でした!Narrative is great!
The biggest difference between UC and everything else, is UC designs are really down to earth and emphasis on practicality, 08th MS is the pinnacle of that example. Everything else will have very flashy design, then make up some reason for them to be that way.
