It took over a year to get start, but i have to trust the process. Success doesn’t happen overnight nor does change or revolution.
Thank you for spreading information however, due to western influence during the 60s and 70s when america had its war on drugs and criminalized cannabis, so did every other country in asia, including thailand.
The stigma around older generations who arent willing to open their mind and change still believe that cannabis makes you psychotic and crazy. These old bastards either need to go or open up. These are one if the barriers that prevents from fully legalizing cannabis for the people. There is a lot to get done.

Thanks for what you do. Years back when I went into recovery for alcohol I was herded into the standard US antidepressant therapy. Since I have switched to MMJ and treated it as medicine, and took courses, I feel we are forced to beg for more research funding, legislation that allows for research, and social justice reform for incarcerated pot offenders. Nobody is talking however about how the fledgling industry is being commodified out the gate. It's comforting yet uncomfortable that it's basically the same in Thailand as it is here if you just simply want to help people without the crippling cost to license. Curing or treating so cheaply isn't profitable as per the US purview, and sadly our legal stances are globally influential. I would love to see a corresponding piece from a southern state with a similar group here in the states. There's a lot of parallels.

Thank you, but for us, by us i mean my 7 family members of this enterprise we already turned down a 10 million usd deal with an American investor. There is no need for us to share the profits and we do not want to be working with big companies, we know very well only certain companies have the legal right to buy and process, such as CP and oishi and a few more. The market is worth billions. Thats great and all being involved in few companies, but so is everyone else in the local market and other provinces. So far 3rd investor turned down. All greedy investors, they think they can just dump money and expect fast revenue and profits without even being knowing how the the farm operates.
And FYI it doesnt cost a lot to get started into this industry, just takes a lot of time for paperwork and finding 7 people you trust with your life and business / enterprise, the potential in this industry would bring the worst out in people, and everyone in the enterprise has every right to every % of the profit if they arent happy with whats given, its dangerous if you dont have the people you truly trust.

When I first moved to Colorado I was excited to get into the industry, I came prepared. I had a thousand or so seeds comprised of 4 strains that my friend and I developed in Florida during the early 2000’s. I’m talking stabilised feminised seed stock thats consistency with little deviation in phenotype and always female. It took years of work and spreadsheets but it was all worth it. I made it to the promised land I just need to fill out some forms have my small facility inspected and we’re good. Not so fast.
Unfortunately for me I arrived in Denver 1 year before they changed all the laws, laws that clearly are beneficial to large corporate growers and dispensaries. People who can reach in and pull a million bux out of their pocket and not blink twice. This decision by the state to create an overly complicated system that suddenly excluded anyone with any felony record for drugs, and I’m talking simple possession. They now required that all product from seed/clone to dried product had to be tracked from seed/clone to finished product, software that could track that sort of metrics didn’t even exist. They required not only cameras but the Controllers and hard drive backup has to be in a secured room that must be inspected by the police department. Even the security room has to have a camera both inside and outside the room.
Needles to say, I had to shutter my new operation 2 months after I finally got all my inspections and paperwork approved under the old system.
What all this has done is hurt small owners and worse yet it’s destroying the plant it’s self.

Commercial retailers/growers in Colorado are hands down the worst I’ve ever seen when it comes to strain selection. You go into the shoppes and there’s strains that you never heard of, never heard of them because they are convinced that then need to always be offering a new fresh product that no one else had. They do this by “pollen dusting”, one strain to another and coming up with a clever/ironic name. They don’t stabilise the seed stock nope just cross this with this make seeds the. Use those seeds that haven’t been stabilised to make this “new strain” worse yet they mix those together and before ya know it the genetics begins to fail not to mention do this enough and you have 30 types of product to sell that all looked taste and provides roughly the same high.
Denver has gone from having couture Bougie bud growers that supplied dispensaries with premium strains that with nothing but the best nutrients harvested when the tricombe were either amber or milky and then cured for 6 months or longer for a full smooth rich taste. To what we have now, over priced commercially grown bud with questionable genetics that are usually never flushed fully, and cured poorly. Since profits are lower quality has suffered, and I fear on a long enough time line Those amazing strains war have eventually been crossed over again and again until it’s just one homogenous strain with only subtle differences but ever shoppe is going to have their own name for it. Which about sums up pot in Colorado, it’s more about the hype and image then the actual product and unique properties that it holds. Colorado image over substance

Our government has put higher taxes on it than any other thing and certainly more than any other medical drug. Most of the time my friends and I still buy from the street, even though it's legal for recreational use. I'm in Las Vegas and the prices are very high because they're trying to rip off and make as much as possible from our tourist. We SHOULD have a different price for locals. Also I'm disabled and they don't give any discounts for someone who is disabled. It's complete BS and our government is WORSE than any drug dealer I've dealt with. On top of that, they promised the 20% tax would go to our school's and help them. Being that we have the worst school district in America, people voted for it. Wanna know how much of those taxes have helped our school's? ZERO, nothing. They have used every single penny to pay towards the huge debt our incompetent politicians ran up over the decades. It's complete BS and meanwhile our kids are still in the worst school district in this 💩 country.

I miss the Budda Sticks from the early 70's. Thai sticks dipped in black tar opium. Thai sticks by themselves are also greatly missed! Sooooo good!

This country would greatly benefit extraction with a rosin press. Precise heat and tons of pressure . No solvents.

$300 for a kilogram of steams!? Damn... Cannabis farmers in Thailand must be doing well for themselves, lol.

We buy thousands of kilos of Thai to Amsterdam every week. Quality is pretty good but the market is very specific

I remember smoking Thai Sticks back in the 70's. The stems were treated with opium.
