Both of these are too expensive - the problem with Sharesight is the pricing structure. The $11.25 would be ideal for me, but because it only allows you to upload 30 holdings it won’t work for me. The unlimited holdings option at $18 per month is too expensive.

I understand. A few ways I justify it are the fees are tax deductible to me and better up to date reporting, particularly, tax helps me make better investment decisions that help me save tax and avoid losing money.

Hi Dan. Any chance you could show your subscribers how to create a spreadsheet with etf holdings and adjusted cost base calculations??

Thanks for the idea Anthony. I can definitely create something and I can take a look in June. I typically recommend Sharesight for this subject as more accurate, automatic and it’s free for less than 10 investments which is usually plenty for etf investors. It’s what I use personally instead of a spreadsheet.

@@MoneywithDan Thanks Dan. My concern with using sharesight as opposed to a spreadsheet is what happens in 10 - 20yrs time if they no longer exist??

@@anthonysticca3785 I too have had that thought. I over came that issue when I found I can export all my transactions to Excel. I also had an issue with privacy but I also overcame that issue too since you don’t need to share your personal if you don’t want too.

it’s not bad but I think Sharesight is still better for most still.
