Otis got his start here in Colorado at a local Indy. He's really good and he was an amateur wrestling champion.

Becoming Perc Gable. It's happening.
I think this is gonna be a program where we get to see Otis finally come into his own. He deserves it too. Dude's been doing comedic stuff for ages but he's a hell of a hoss, on top of being a legit shooter. He's got Greco-Roman credentials and was even considered for the Olympic team in 2012. If they started booking him like Vader, I think Jim would come around quick.
He had so much baby face momentum with Mandy and they just completely dropped the ball witj making MITB into a garbage generic break up angle

I wasn't a fan of the Gable heel turn at first blush. But then he sold me on it immediately. And now we may finally get that Gable singles championship, plus an Otis babyface run when he eventually has had enough of being under Gable's thumb.
So very happy to see Gable get a real run. I'm like Corny, I was pleasantly surprised how good of a promo he is.
Funny to think if you remove half of Otis' weight and give it to Orange Cassidy you might get two wrestlers Jim could actually like.

this was such a great promo chad gable is going to do an awesome job as a heel i love the idea of him being paired with the creed brothers this is going to be great hopefully WWE doesn't fuck this up.
I really hope Gable ends up turning on the rest of Alpha Academy. I love that Angle himself even endorsed Gable in his heel persona. Gable really is Angle's son.

Man I loved Otis during the thunderdome. A good break up between them will make both men into stars. Otis and Mandy was a great act but Vince's booking shit all over the MITB angle when the audience wanted a happy ending. Old habits.

Otis is great. Once the Alpha Academy stuff is resolved and he’s done his stint as Gable’s reluctant henchman he can make another breakout as a face and maybe be the one to take the Intercontinental from Gable. In a year or two. Gable deserves a great big heel title reign once he takes the title from Sami.
Maxine I feel bad for. She’s still just learning and for that I have to give her kudos. But it’s kind of baffling that she’s learning in the most prominent and well publicised place possible. To really learn and develop she should probably be in NXT or the indies but her role as a manager means she’s on main roster WWE. I like having her around but I can’t really disagree with the people that say she shouldn’t be on the roster. Maybe she’s should just be having dark matches while she learns and sticking to a management role on screen for now.
Tozawa is just Tozawa. He’s just sort of around. I guess he’s got it as good as it’s gonna get for him. He’s been on the undercard for years and years, being a small part of a faction is probably where he belongs.
Gable himself is just great. I wished they’d pulled the pin on him while he was face so he could have a good long Intercontinental reign as he was but they didn’t so I hope they’ll finally do it now he’s a heel.

here's the problem: if they eventually turn on him (which should be a faceturn on paper), where do they go from there?
- if otis wins, does he get a triumphant moment with maxxine? last time they pushed him, he didn't even get to cash in his mitb...
- if gable wins, he is established as an upper card heel while his stooges get lost in the undercard. but I think the fans want to cheer gable because he has grown into a pretty good face over the last months. I don't see the end goal tbh

His amateur background is somewhat comparable to Gable's although he didnt make the Olympic team - a lot more could be done with him from a serious athletic angle

Gable's heel turn is what I, for one, have been waiting for👍🏿. That said, I hope they'll finally book him right, cause the man is too good to be used the way he's been booked all this time😕
I’m actually not on board with the fantasy booked Gable & Creeds with Angle managing that everyone wants. Let Gable do his own thing instead of being an Angle rip off.
Nah, after the Shorty G thingy, the best thing is to be an Angle Tribute, not Rip-off, but tribute. Rip-Off would be making him bald and make comments about winning a match with a broken limb or som. If you inspire from the best, then what's to blame?
That's why I want Dom to leave JD, get ripped or at least not lool like a fucking noodle and follow the 'Latino Heat 2.0', cause he can do it and right.
It's a fine line they, and him, need to walk. The comparisons will never go away because they are similar in both resume and personality.
Ric Flair was the fast livin trash talkin Nature Boy, just like Buddy Rogers was but in his own way.
Not saying Gable is Flair's caliber, but that Chad can do his own version of what Angle was and make it his own.
I agree Angle does not need to be a part of it. A player-coach thing with Sheldon could work though.
Hear me out… Erick keeps gettin injured and leavin Ivar hanging… let’s have Erick and Valhalla be their own thing together when he is able and bring Ivar out of the Viking gimmick but still doin his style, teamed with Otis!! Otis being the personality/entertainment plus he’s has a good Vader like style and Ivar as the excitement with his unique flyin big man style!

WWE have a Kurt Angle 2.0 on their hands without the drug and neck issues and they haven't done anything with him. Hopefully this heel turn and dumping the Alpha Academy will turn him into a upper mid-carder and eventually a main eventer
Chad is literally the best talent at WWE. The match at Wrestlemania should have been Chad vs Gunther, and Sammy should have been part of the triple threat match with KO, Orton and the SCAMMER (Logan Paul).
Nah, cause then the whole heel angle wouldn't have happened. And Gable as IC, babyface? Meh; this route is more pumped and interesting. Just wait and see.
