I think Nurgle can't hold sway over the Necrons, since they are naught but soulless machines now. given the mechanical nature of the Necron Race its likely a computer virus of some sort and I don't think Nurgle knows how to code.

The flayer virus, the Curse of Wulfen and the Red Thirst all have the major issue of being "Fight better with more brutality and little care for allied losses" in a setting where fighting better with no regard for allied losses is the absolute norm. I don't think I'm alone in getting a little tired of stumbling over so-called curses in the lore that come at no appreciable cost for the affected faction.
Random thought: If you define 'god' in 40K by their reliance on the souls of others to survive (like all warp entities and C'tan), would the Emperor of mankind also qualify due to his diet of prepubescent psykers?

Maybe it’s nit picky, but is that a fair title to give him when it’s made pretty clear in Sons of the Hydra that The Redacted despise those that worship Chaos? Anyways, love the videos! If Warp energies are anathema to all things C'Tan, powerful incorruptible psyckers should more than suffice. Furthermore, with the right Necron science and the help of Bellisarius Cawl, a joint Necron Imperium venture could make massive strides towards returning the Necrons to their former Necrontier forms.
