    Beautiful work. I can imagine how much work and time went into just the CNC for the mold.

      Yes, the molds are very expensive to make but they are very durable and produce consistent, reliable parts.

    This intake works great lots of top end. I installed one on my 2011 ss camaro with ls3 conversion and cam. Made 450 rwhp and 410 torque peaked at 6600 rpms when we maxed out stock injectors. Ordered bigger injectors and will be retuning soon. U can see video of car with intake on my page.

    Amazing work! I was wondering what that yellow bottle spray was right before you lay up the first cf layer? Is it some sort of a liquid glue to help with the layup? If so, could you please share more info on that?

    How close are intake orders made in early November through LPE ready for shipping? Also curious if anything can be used on the CF to increase the gloss in it's appearance?

    So you guys essentially made an autoclave out of the mold without the heat element ? I've never thought about that what psi do you take it up to?

      There is heat involved as well. Typical is 100 psi or more of consolidation pressure on top of the vacuum. Depends on the part.

      Thank you. We have developed an in-house process which allows us to get the desired finish and product weight using infusion, without the need to use an autoclave.

      I have a couple of questions about the process.
      Should I write here or maybe private?
      I'm a nerd from Sweden who mainly works with 4-cyl boosted engines for my pleasure. Not trying to steal any ideas but carbon is kind of a fetish that is hard to explain to the missus when a roll of twill shows up 😁

    The reason I ask is because I want to build intake manifold with carbon fiber just like this and I also want to make intake custom pipes I have a vortec pro charger that can do up to 15 psi and wondered if it will hold up to those pressures how many layers would I have to use

      depending on your layer thickness, the layer count will be different, And how you layer the CF will determine pressure cap, I would probably do 4 - 6 , and make sure that the weaves are at + or - 45 Degree, and go from there, that wouldn't include my cosmetic layer on top.

    I've always wondered would a carbon fiber intake manifold like this hold up with a turbo how much psi can it withstand and how many layers was that was it literally just one layer

      This particular intake, the Carbon pTR is rated at 50psi although we've tested it well beyond that.

      I will now feel more comfortable making my carbon fiber intake pipes.
      I'm going to make them three ply
      outer layer will be the carbon fiber the middle layer will be the structural thick fiber glass and the inside layer will be the smooth fiberglass
      it will be very rigid and I hope that's enough.
      do you have any suggestions on how I can improve..
      I'm going to keep the pipes as short as possible and they will be about 3" in diameter

    Not a single mention of how much boost (pressure) it can handle or is rated for, or even if it's been pressure tested at all!

      The pTR intake is rated at 50psi although we've tested it well beyond that.
