Actually, I don’t think that was revenge for Robert, I feel that it was more revenge on either Jonathan (for being the nudist lord) or Chris (for making him take off his trousers in front of the audience).
That feeling when you realize Annie was smart enough to choose a farce that’s intentionally funny and kitschy, and cast them all better than Robert and Chris, making her a better director than them…
Oh! Only after like 100 viewings did I realize they smile at the camera after jokes because last episode Robert said "You can't do comedy without showing your gums."
I never get enough of these guys! I sure hope they drop Season 3 at some point. "What is she like? And "Norman Nord, the nudist lord " pop into my head randomly. Nancy is a physical comedy/shtick genius.
I love everybody in Mischief but Bryony Corrigan as Vanessa is a legit comic legend. To act both genuinely and then embarrassed whilst trying to keep her composure but also that she's so much better than this material all in one look.
I think this the fourth time Annie's played a male character. Sandra and Vanessa have played men at least once. I'd love to see an episode where the guys have to dress in drag.
i love that Vanessa is so used to having to Correct Dennis's OOC freudian slips and innuendo line misremberings that when it's time to finally for her to say an innuendo she has to consatntltly correct herself.
Interesting to see that even in a piece where things are meant to go awry, the CPDS still manages to mess it up anyhow. It makes me wonder what would happen if they put on a production of Noises Off.
They really nailed (way-hey) how utterly shit & unfunny a lot of British 50s-70s “comedy” was, pretty much up to Monty Python. Looking at you, Benny Hill.
Strange and uninformed comment. Benny Hill's successful 1958 parody of the 1930s film industry in the sketch "Passengers of Passion" was the proto That Goes Wrong Show, just 60 years ahead of its time.
I really feel like the 70s sitcoms of the US were like "ah, a new future is ahead of us and we are going to help envision that new world." And in England it was all like "the sexual revolution means I can show you my penis!"
I think it just stops the cast from being uncomfortable. Dave hearn and Charlie were (not sure if still together) dating so they stopped the max and sandra stuff after xmas carol. "Annie" did kiss "Jonathan" in peter pan so maybe not lesbian.
@@charlottemunday7311 Agreed. I assume it's just less awkward for everyone involved when it's the ladies. Same goes for the Pilot episode. Not the 'pilot episode', but the episode about the pilot.

As said above. In Roberts acting class he said somink about giving a bad actor the largest hat. . Thats why she got him a large hat. I think 🤔
i didn't even catch that xD
She also got revenge on Chris by gluing his flute during his act.
Chris galavanting around in a room of unconscious people is always hilarious.
my last braincell on exam day
The way she says "Norman Nord, the nudist Lord!" has been stuck in my head for days now, it's so good
It's the way she clutches her chest the first time she says it that does me in.
