Easiest way to hit 50 is to fix the motorcycle shown in the first few clips.
The next is a transmission. A 30 or 40 series torque converter from a go-kart is probably the easiest. You'll also need proper speed rated tires and thicker than bicycle chain.

@@devon12346 it might just be the audio, but it seems like there was no clutch on it because the engine was definitely not revving very much, should’ve had tons of torque with those small tires.
The battery is dead in the bike thats why its "broken" these city boys dont know how to bump start a bike lmao
he should also have the engine lower so the center of gravity is easier to control

I build streetlegal motorcycles with that Predator 420cc and get 60 mph out of them. Proper gearing is key, It should have a 6 to 1 gearing. For example, I run a 10-tooth on the clutch, and a 60-tooth rear sprocket on a 24-in rear tire and about 4600 rpm will get 55mph+. Correct gearing and that motor will make your bicycle a lethal threat! Stock rpm on an equipment motor is usually 3600, if you bypass the governor you will get more rpms.

How does a 420cc engine only get it up to 60 mph? My old 250 Ninja got me up to around 110 one time. Wouldn't it be better to use a much smaller and lighter 2 stroke engine in that case?
RPMs is the issue. Stock rpm on an equipment motor is 3600 and with some aftermarket parts, you can bump it up around a couple thousand more rpms. Most modern motorcycles can run north of 6000+ rpms and have the torque and gearing to get there. Small engines lack all of that, especially in stock form. That's why a 420cc ain't going 80mph.

My comment is gone. Use #40 or #420 chain and sprockets on both sides. 10T on Clutch, 20T on clutch side of jackshaft, 10T on other side of jackshaft, 20T on drive wheel…. 53mph at engine speed of 3600RPM. Use CVT, not centrifugal clutch, if you will do a lot of stop and go or low speed driving. Gearing the bike for 50mph, but driving much slower burns and eats clutches. Continuously variable transmissions, cvts, torque converters,…. Are better for allowing a wider range of speeds. Do not use 1/4” pitch chains or sprockets. No bicycle chains or sprockets allowed with 420cc.

A torque converter setup would improve speed/power/fuel economy. You could have bought one of the sprockets that attach to the spokes like used on those gas conversion kits and removed much of the complexity and issues you had.

Anyone wants to do something like this they sell motorized bicycle kits for $100. Full kit. It's made in china but with work it's awesome. Fun hobby with a ton of people in it, very easy to learn and affordable

Also use a CVT (comet Torque Converter 40 series) because that clutch will burn up if geared for high speed and you ride a slow speeds or stop and go.

Not only do you not care if the fake motorcycle you built wrong is street legal, you also laugh in the face of Papa TH-cam by using copyrighted music and sparsely uploading in bold defiance of its algorithm. This is unbridled chaos of the highest order and you have single-handedly proven that not only do two wrongs make it oh-so-right, the more wrongs you stack up on that Bad Larry keep moving the needle so far past “right” that it becomes “righteous.”

1. make sure the front main sprocket and rear drive gear are exactly in line with each other vertically (same vertical plane).
2. add a small gear to the chain tensioner to prevent horizontal sliding of the chain.
3. don't try to mix bicycle parts and motorcycle parts (namely gears and chains on the same path)
4. make sure your high mounted axle is 90 degrees to the direction of the frame and is level with the ground
5. just saw the worst problem seems to be the chain on the cassette drive (5 gears on right rear) is sliding on your makeshift cyclindrical chain tensioner and is throwing the chain, if not attempting to jump to another gear. I can see it in a single-frame screenshot. If you have and address, I can send you the screenshot with an arrow.

Already a Headphone Kit Modification:
Either disassemble headphones or do modification upon building headphone kit. The Tyvek/felt on the back of the driver baskets covering the vent holes, take it off with a sharp pencil by poking through to the vent holes without damaging the cones or cut covering from baskets with a knife or an xacto knife, and pack cups with fiberglass from an aquarium shop upon reassembly. This allows driver cones more excursion on bass notes for more tone!

Okay. Master link works like this. The open end of the master link locking piece has to face away from the direction that the chain travels to. So ifchain moves counter clockwise, the link lock faces to clockwise rotation. This way the round closed end faces the direction of the chain and won't catch to anything. Tho I would use motorbike chains. More robust and won't break that easy
That was so much fun! I have that same Biltwell helmet.
Flip the rear wheel over, the sprocket is now on the clutch side of the engine. Lock the sprocket clutch up so it rotates forward. Shorten the chain - adjust rear wheel to tighten the chain. Used the largest sprocket, and maybe you'll get your 50 mph
For any project like this: Use a Predator 212. The output shaft size gets bigger as the engine size goes up. The predator 212 is everywhere and you can buy all manner of pulleys, sprockets, centrifugal clutches, and even complete CVT transmissions for very reasonable prices. The 420 engine was a bad call. None of the stuff made for the 212 engine will fit the output shaft of the 420. 212cc/6.5 hp is more than enough if you have the ability to shift gears.
Trust me on this. If you want to try to make your own go kart, motorcycle, etc., use a predator 212 for the power source. Once you have become an expert Franken-builder, you can get more creative with your power source. The predator 212 is also pretty much the cheapest new engine you can buy.
Anyone seriously considering building a motorized bike, just ignore this video lol. This was purely entertainment... if you can call it that.
Spring load the chain tensioner and use bearings so the tensioner rolls with the chain.. this will resolve the issues youre having!
You was very lucky when that chain snapped, stay away from moving chains and belts, the result is horrific if hit by them. New sub, keep making great content (safety)

I have built 2 2-stroke bicycles and I've gone through the same things. If I had a dollar for every chain I've broke or cut 1 link too shirt I wouldn't have to work anymore. There are TONS of parts yoi can order. Lef thad sprocket adaptors, spring loaded chain tensioner, etc. Anyway don't give up and please keep em coming

I think you're on the right track but I definitely think you need to switch the engine around so that way the chain is on the other side so you don't have to run two Chains ⛓️ just spin the engine around 180° from where it is right now best of luck to you
Lots of good advice here, also, you should look at what chain tensioners look like in real life, a skateboard wheel works pretty well
