Not going to lie: the playtime sequences in this video made me so, so happy. I love seeing toys being played with and remembering all the adventures my crew got up to during my childhood. Just wonderful to watch.

Dang! That was Blitzwing? I must of watch the cartoon a million times as a kid and didn't even realize that the tank he stepped on was Blitzwing. Omega is a Beast!

I finally got my hands on G1 Omega Supreme online this earlier this year. I've always wanted him as a kid. I'm overjoyed & just thrilled to finally have him! He's not as complicated to transform once you get the hang of it.

I once saw Omega Supreme in a department store back in 1985. When I read the pricetag I knew I would never get him, but I was simply overcome with joy to actually see the character ‘in the flesh’.

Omega Supreme and Star Scream always been my all time favorite Transformers....i always dreamed of getting that amazing Omega Supreme figure as a kid, but sadly i never got him! :( At least i got Star Scream, and he was so amazing, i loved him so much..i still remember the exact moment when my mom bought it..it was an incredible day for me!! I am still looking for a vintage Omega Supreme, its one of my “holy grail” toy that i have to get one day, its never too late to get one of our dream toy i guess! :)
Hopefully he'll get a Walmart reissue soon. He and Sky Lynx were reissued in the Encore line so it's possible.

WOW!!! they are my favorites too!!
One of my favourite toys and characters of all time. I bought him like nearly ten years ago when I found the reissue. I found him to be representative of "The Tragic Giant" Strong exterior with a broken heart and a damaged mental state who would always fight the good fight. He was best summed up in the episode where he hunted down the Constructicons.
"What if we all just split up?"
"Then he'd hunt us down one at a time."
"Then I say we unite."
I always related most to this character who preferred to be alone until needed and who few really understood. Glad to see he survived The Movie, yet disappointed he was not used more in the cartoon. You're as good as they come Omega.
I want to encapsulate my childhood in the matrix and live there forever.
This brought back some wonderful memories. Christmas 1986, having satisfyingly unwrapped all my presents, I realised there was one large box remaining unwrapped under the tree. I asked my mother if it was mine and with a smile she confirmed that it was indeed mine. I’ll never forget the combination of shock and joy I felt when unwrapping that last remaining present revealed it was THE Omega Supreme, the biggest and most powerful Autobot of all.
I’ll never forget the happy smile on my mother’s face when she saw my jaw dropping reaction, nor the reactions from my friends when I showed off my kick ass new toy.
80s sure were a great time to be a kid, and these videos are like a time machine to happy times.

May I know from what Toy line is the small rubber Optimus Prime figure at 0:45 of the video? I have that Optimus Prime too, but I lost the box and I can't remember what it is specifically called. I've been looking for information about it on Google to no avail. I forgot to write a detail of him in my records.

I didn't grow up watching the original Transformers (I was born two decades too late) but the play scenes in this reminds me of when I'd torment my older sister with my Beast Wars figures while she was playing with her dolls. Good times were always had when someone had a Transformer in their hands.

Did you know Omega supreme, wasn't technically released in the UK. But a company called Grandstand, commonly known for their hand held video games, licensed it from Toybox and released him in his original red and black colour scheme

This was so awesome! My nextdoor neighbor had Omega Supreme. I had mostly Decepticons. Man, I miss the 80's!
Amazing production value to this Michael! I'm really a Star Wars and Ghostbusters fan at heart, but always did like Transformers when I was a kid. My mom thought they were more violent so she didn't let me watch the cartoon as much, but I definitely was able to sneak episodes. Catching up on all the gigantic playset-type Transformers in my adulthood has been wild. I can't believe I didn't know these things existed! You do such a great job of showing off the features and actually imaginatively playing with them just like any kid. Excellent work, this was as much a history lesson for me as it was a review.
Excellent video as always. I just wished they included Omega Supreme in the 1986 movie, so he can get his revenge on Devastator. While the Dinobots take care of the other Decepticons. Lastly, Optimus Prime takes care of Megatron.

Didn't have this figure as a kid, but later acquired him complete with the original box as a collector a couple of years ago. I remember going to a vintage toy store on x-mas eve 2016, seeing him on the shelf, and walking out with him a few minutes later. I was stoked to say the least -- an awesome x-mas present to myself!

I remember to have seen this toy MIB when I was a kid and I thought how amazing it was even for me a non Transformers fan. Omega Supreme was a groundbreaking transformer in many senses, thanks for the great review.
Loved this video. I was only able to get Omega when he was released in the 2000s with Takara’s Encore line. Always wanted him as a kid. He’s one of my all time favorite Transformer characters, and his G1 toy is one of my absolute favorites. You did such a great job on this video. Thank you!
I have one when I was a child. I miss it so much. I don't know where it is now. I was too young and no one has shown me how to keep well of my toys. I can only remember some fun time with it but this video brings more memory back. Thank you!
There was a licensed Autobot base. I had it. It was cardboard. I was playing with it, my transformers (and some G.I. Joe's) watching the Challenger's last launch...

As far as i know they never sold Omega Supreme in the U.K. in the 80's but strangley enough i picked up an original japanese one from Toys R Us back then & still have him today.

I actually found a complete(parts wise but was missing the manuals) Mint In Box Original 1985 Omega Supremefrom a thrift store a few months ago for $15. Seriously, $15 and nobody bought it so I bought it and now; I finally own one of my favorite G1 Transformers growing up. You might ask why I don't even have the reissue and the answer was simple, I couldn't personally invest myself into buying it since I'm not a straight up G1 collector. I do have a few G1 and Japanese G1 but I don't really go out of my way to buy them. So every time I had money for it, I had to weigh getting a $300 original in box, the $250 Reissue, buy a couple of smaller stuff, buy a masterpiece, and buy a 3p MP. I always go for the latter.
I thought it was a KO at first but it did have the "Japan" word stamped on every part and the main body has the "Toy Box made in Japan" logo at the bottom.
Can’t recall if I e commented before. Omegatron was released by Tomy toys in the UK slightly before we saw OS in the comic. I used to think marvel had nicked him

To this day the one figure I have always wanted was the G1 Jetfire. My parents had a habit of getting me the villains since they had no idea who the characters were. One day...maybe one day.

One of those”I always wanted but never had” until too late in life. But that was a cool video. I probably wouldn’t have transformed him much as a kid the ones that took too much time to change I often didn’t. However the cartoon gave me an out as they often just had the rocket change, so maybe I would have done that.

So Omega is one Transformer I never had as a kid and even as a grown up nerd, I feel like I’ve been overlooking this gorgeous and incredibly fun figure. I learned a lot today! Thanks Mike! Despite his speech pattern, I thought Omega some of the most personality for a Transformers giant. Most of them were just lumbering and simple-minded.
This is a very cool video of Transformers G1 Omega Supreme, that was one cool toy to look at as a toy and very fun to watch in the Transformers G1 animated series.
With Metroplex this one is gold definitely.. I have yet to see Scorpinok and the other bigger jabronis 😁

I always wanted one of these large transformers but I got the GI Joe USS flag and the GI Joe ocean Outpost so I was pretty happy with that I had a friend once and wanted to trade me but his mom said no

GREAT review. This was an unexpected birthday gift for me back in 1985. I knew it "felt different" than the other Transformers in the line, but I didn't find out until years later that it was a toy design from another manufacturer. Nonetheless, it was (and still is) an excellent design. I mean, you get a tank, a trainset, a rocket, and a robot...all in one cool package. And, a character with a cool story in the cartoon. I no longer have my original unfortunately, but I was able to pick up the Takara reissue and I am more than happy to have a new one in my collection. They don't make toys like this anymore that is for sure...but they should!

I had Omega when i was a kid. It was only a parcial set of him i got it handed down to me. Wish i would have held on to him as some of the parts would have been worth good money now days.
