Not going to lie: the playtime sequences in this video made me so, so happy. I love seeing toys being played with and remembering all the adventures my crew got up to during my childhood. Just wonderful to watch.
Same here! So many toys only get displayed, it's good to remember their original purpose was fun, adventure and creativity. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed. 🙏
This brought back some wonderful memories. Christmas 1986, having satisfyingly unwrapped all my presents, I realised there was one large box remaining unwrapped under the tree. I asked my mother if it was mine and with a smile she confirmed that it was indeed mine. I’ll never forget the combination of shock and joy I felt when unwrapping that last remaining present revealed it was THE Omega Supreme, the biggest and most powerful Autobot of all. I’ll never forget the happy smile on my mother’s face when she saw my jaw dropping reaction, nor the reactions from my friends when I showed off my kick ass new toy. 80s sure were a great time to be a kid, and these videos are like a time machine to happy times.
I once saw Omega Supreme in a department store back in 1985. When I read the pricetag I knew I would never get him, but I was simply overcome with joy to actually see the character ‘in the flesh’. I never ever saw another one until now. This was a great video!
I finally got my hands on G1 Omega Supreme online this earlier this year. I've always wanted him as a kid. I'm overjoyed & just thrilled to finally have him! He's not as complicated to transform once you get the hang of it.
This channel is so awesome, its like you have recreated a childhood dream for us, one that many could not possibly have created because we were just kids waiting for birthdays and holidays for presents. Thank you Michael.
I love watching the play sequences it just makes me wanting to wish I grew up with the 1984 transformer toys. Sadly I'm a Bayverse kid but I still had fun
I love how you still have the true spirit of play in your heart. A lot of collectors seem forget that what made these toys so great in the first place was that they allowed us to experience the joy of imagination. A toy that's never played with is like a sports car that's never driven - a tragic waste of potential. Half the fun of these videos for me is watching you enjoy these wonderful works of art in precisely the way they were meant to be used.
One of my favourite toys and characters of all time. I bought him like nearly ten years ago when I found the reissue. I found him to be representative of "The Tragic Giant" Strong exterior with a broken heart and a damaged mental state who would always fight the good fight. He was best summed up in the episode where he hunted down the Constructicons. "What if we all just split up?" "Then he'd hunt us down one at a time." "Then I say we unite." I always related most to this character who preferred to be alone until needed and who few really understood. Glad to see he survived The Movie, yet disappointed he was not used more in the cartoon. You're as good as they come Omega.
Dang! That was Blitzwing? I must of watch the cartoon a million times as a kid and didn't even realize that the tank he stepped on was Blitzwing. Omega is a Beast!
I have one when I was a child. I miss it so much. I don't know where it is now. I was too young and no one has shown me how to keep well of my toys. I can only remember some fun time with it but this video brings more memory back. Thank you!
Didn't have this figure as a kid, but later acquired him complete with the original box as a collector a couple of years ago. I remember going to a vintage toy store on x-mas eve 2016, seeing him on the shelf, and walking out with him a few minutes later. I was stoked to say the least -- an awesome x-mas present to myself!
Loved this video. I was only able to get Omega when he was released in the 2000s with Takara’s Encore line. Always wanted him as a kid. He’s one of my all time favorite Transformer characters, and his G1 toy is one of my absolute favorites. You did such a great job on this video. Thank you!
I didn't grow up watching the original Transformers (I was born two decades too late) but the play scenes in this reminds me of when I'd torment my older sister with my Beast Wars figures while she was playing with her dolls. Good times were always had when someone had a Transformer in their hands.
They play sequence warmed my heart and reminded me of great times. I loved Omega but never had him as he was never released here in the UK. You did an incredible job on this, thank you mate.
Omega Supreme and Star Scream always been my all time favorite Transformers....i always dreamed of getting that amazing Omega Supreme figure as a kid, but sadly i never got him! :( At least i got Star Scream, and he was so amazing, i loved him so much..i still remember the exact moment when my mom bought it..it was an incredible day for me!! I am still looking for a vintage Omega Supreme, its one of my “holy grail” toy that i have to get one day, its never too late to get one of our dream toy i guess! :)
@@MichaelMercy Save your money! Hasbro is preparing to launch an updated Titan class version in 2019 and you can bet it will scale well with your figs. Great vid Michael!
Michael, this reeked of awesomeness. As someone who had Omega as a kid, and still to this very day has that very same bot in his collection, thank you for this. Beyond entertaining, this video brought me back to the mid 1980's and a smile to my face. "Victory.....achieved."
Got the original Omega Supreme from when I was a kid and I took him apart and put him back together so many times. I don't mean transformed, I mean completely disassembled the tank to the point where I had to resolder the motor back in. And amazingly, he still works! Love Omega and love the backstory they gave him in the cartoon! Thanks for the great memories, Michael. My wife and I love your channel! Definitely put a smile on my face!
Amazing production value to this Michael! I'm really a Star Wars and Ghostbusters fan at heart, but always did like Transformers when I was a kid. My mom thought they were more violent so she didn't let me watch the cartoon as much, but I definitely was able to sneak episodes. Catching up on all the gigantic playset-type Transformers in my adulthood has been wild. I can't believe I didn't know these things existed! You do such a great job of showing off the features and actually imaginatively playing with them just like any kid. Excellent work, this was as much a history lesson for me as it was a review.
Your videos are really well done. I love how passionate you are about these great vintage toys. It really comes out in your videos. Thanks so much for making them, and thank you for sharing!
How elaborately it is filmed! The dubbing in the cartoon is used, the special effects such as laser is added to the reality, and the toys are manipulated to play a role in the video. I'm quite fascinated by your creativity!
Another top notch entry into the retro toy review stratosphere. The time, effort and passion devoted to these episodes is well appreciated and enjoyed. Thank you!
I remember to have seen this toy MIB when I was a kid and I thought how amazing it was even for me a non Transformers fan. Omega Supreme was a groundbreaking transformer in many senses, thanks for the great review.
Hi Michael. I just want to thank you for the awesome energy you give off. I really like the pace at which you conduct your reviews. It really helps me to slow down and enjoy the moment. Hopefully, I can give back some of the positive energy.
That was amazing!! I loved every minute of that review...well done, sir. Your editing and special effects are wonderful! So Omega is one Transformer I never had as a kid and even as a grown up nerd, I feel like I’ve been overlooking this gorgeous and incredibly fun figure. I learned a lot today! The Crazy Devy parts looked interesting on Devastator too! I’ll have to look those up. Ok...my wallet is starting to smolder all of a sudden. 😫
Thanks Mike! Despite his speech pattern, I thought Omega some of the most personality for a Transformers giant. Most of them were just lumbering and simple-minded.
This is a very cool video of Transformers G1 Omega Supreme, that was one cool toy to look at as a toy and very fun to watch in the Transformers G1 animated series.
One of the best toys that I had and it was awesome! Definitely top 5 transformers characters/toys on my personal list. Thank you for the review and video Michael.
GREAT review. This was an unexpected birthday gift for me back in 1985. I knew it "felt different" than the other Transformers in the line, but I didn't find out until years later that it was a toy design from another manufacturer. Nonetheless, it was (and still is) an excellent design. I mean, you get a tank, a trainset, a rocket, and a robot...all in one cool package. And, a character with a cool story in the cartoon. I no longer have my original unfortunately, but I was able to pick up the Takara reissue and I am more than happy to have a new one in my collection. They don't make toys like this anymore that is for sure...but they should!
Great review can’t wait to get an omega of my own I can’t say how important these reviews are I got into bravestarr because of your fort kerium review and had to get one for my collection thank you so much brother
Omega, revenge will not help you with The Construticons. Revenge will have a consequence. Violence will not help you! Loved the Omega vs. Devastator Battle!
Good Day Sir Michael Mercy. :-) May I know from what Toy line is the small rubber Optimus Prime figure at 0:45 of the video? I have that Optimus Prime too, but I lost the box and I can't remember what it is specifically called. I've been looking for information about it on Google to no avail. I forgot to write a detail of him in my records. Thank you sir.
Excellent video as always. I just wished they included Omega Supreme in the 1986 movie, so he can get his revenge on Devastator. While the Dinobots take care of the other Decepticons. Lastly, Optimus Prime takes care of Megatron.
You gotta give it to the toy engineering on Omega, even after all these years his motors still work really well. Seeing him roll around his trrack brings me so back so much find memories. I never owned him as Transformers were pretty much out of our family's budget, but just seeing him displayed in base mode in the mall was so much fun.
Did you know Omega supreme, wasn't technically released in the UK. But a company called Grandstand, commonly known for their hand held video games, licensed it from Toybox and released him in his original red and black colour scheme
Your collection of Transformer is awesome, when i was a kid i had a pretty good one too, especially the "Combiner" line, with Devastator and all the others.... if only they did not encounter the trashcan :(
There was a licensed Autobot base. I had it. It was cardboard. I was playing with it, my transformers (and some G.I. Joe's) watching the Challenger's last launch...

Came to say this. Wasn't expecting that. Well done.
Agreed. The real reason for me to collect G1’s.
Every episode you create has the nostalgia level of an 80's Saturday morning cartoon! Thanks for bringing my childhood back so often ☺

Same, I grew up with Transformers Animated, although I did become an extreme LEGOphile pretty early on.

R.I.P Blitzwing, he was a cool looking tank
I think that was just an extra in the intro, IDK if that was his actual death
@@laval1016 he had to get crushed because omega had a vision that Blitzwing would become a starscream wannabe

Great stuff. Thanks!
This video made me really happy. Reminded me of playing transformers with my friends. We would all bring our own. It was awesome.
