I held out for awhile on changing the exhaust but gave in when Burch promoted the Coffman's exhaust. I'm pretty happy with it. I had thought about the Shorty but didn't like the look :/
My Rebel 500 came with a GP Shorty, but I thought it was too loud and put the OEM "Bazooka" back on. In the same boat, want to upgrade, but the good ones are over $400.
@@davidvanameyden7629 yeah, it’s tough when there isn’t really a good middle option. Nothing wrong with putting the stock exhaust back on if that’s what you like better!

I got Coffman’s Thunder Exhaust for my 500 and really love it

I think I am going to take the baffle out and see how that sounds.

Yeah, Burch finally pushed me over the edge when he said he was putting Coffmans on most of his bikes.
Hoping on getting a rebel 500 soon, and I'm excited because I have twisty roads in all directions from my house.

@@CarlTheSidekick haha, no, I just left them off the bike while I was upgrading the exhaust.
i bet you felt like there was more power because the bike was lighter lol
@@somnolentSlumber hahaha yeah, that’s a good point. Probably reduced the weight by 15-20 pounds or so.
@@evergreenmoto with the stock exhaust on I probably never hit more than 94, with the shorty gp I hit 97 lol
