Ich war 1988 im Boccaccio und fühle immer noch die Atmosphäre, die dort herrschte. Es war unbeschreiblich schön und unvergleichlich. Ferraris und Porsches vor der Tür , Sprachen aus aller Herren Länder. Schon wenn man reinkam, die Türsteher mit roter Livree, dann der Knall, wenn man die Musik wahrnahm. Die verrückten Typen, die auf den Boxen tanzten...einfach unbeschreiblich. Ich vermisse es in der heutigen Zeit! So ein Erlebnis, was Musik angeht, hat man wohl nur einmal im Leben. R.I.P. Boccaccio

I grew up in Phoenix Arizona, USA, and I went to a party in the '80s that played this music, and have wondered ever since then what it was. I finally found it after decades of researching '80s dance music. The clubs I went to played some of it, it Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, S'Express, but I didn't know the genre. Thank you for this mix.
My sincere congratulations with this mix ! An objective, creditable compilation of the new beat scene at a time that i enjoyed frequenting the Boccaccio. (Michel, Antwerp; now in my sixtees, but still greatly appreciating this magic era). Waiting for Volume 2 ;-)

Zowel ervoor als erachter en wat nu nog geproduceerd wordt. Eindelijk ook eens via deze mix een waarheidsgetrouwe weergave van de periode: 1986 - 1990. Want dat is het volledige New Beat - verhaal met daarin AB Sounds/Music - New Beat - Acid New Beat - Hard Beat - Skizzo Beat. M.a.w de chronologische volgorde. Deze volgorde is niet te horen in deze mix maar dat vermindert niet de kwaliteit van deze mix. Enkel de AB Sounds en de Skizzo ontbreken, maar heyyyyy ...... Dit is echt genieten hoorr !!!!!!!!
TSOB is one of, if not, the best documentaries I've seen about the early rave/house era. True pioneers. Not much this genuine out there. This OST completes. Thanks for the upload.
