    Hi there, can I do this for every bike? I have an Aprilia RS 50. If yes, I guess I need to refill the oil? How would I know how much it needs?
    Thank you in advance and great video!

    Should you top off the fluid by pulling the fluid out and re-measuring it

    • @The_Touring_Jedi
      @The_Touring_Jedi ปีที่แล้ว

      if you pull whole fluid out you should search for manifacturer fluid specs and fill with brand new while you are at it. Remeasuring old fluid is just a waste of time if you know the fill specs. It can be found on the internet for every bike out there.

    I’ll have to get one of them seal cleaner tools and give it a try. Just replaced the seals on my bike and after a couple rides they are leaking real bad on both sides. Maybe that might help.

    Would adding some grease between the fork seals and dust seal help with catching debris and aid the dust seal?

    Can you still fix fork leaks when the inner tube has a small scratch in it?

    • @The_Touring_Jedi
      @The_Touring_Jedi ปีที่แล้ว

      Any small scratch from the road debris can be fixed there are some dual component metal fillers but you need to refurbish the surface carefully. You can always buy some universal fork protectors which can be mounted on the forks.

    can I use brake clean instead of contact spray

    • @TheWorldisTemporary
      @TheWorldisTemporary ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Break clean will eat away the rubber seals, making them worse over time.

    Don’t go full tork on 1 bolt do it in steps between the bolts until you get the right tork .

    This takes way too long. Usually when I'm trying to destroy my fork seals I too use a feeler gauge...but that takes too long. I go for a more abrupt approach. I point a flathead screwdriver up towards the fork seals then hit the back end with a hammer. On the bike I truly care about I use the cheap thin piece of plastic from my local shop known as the "seal mate".
