You are doing such a great work. So much explanation of every option with comparison images. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you very much sir for sharing all those helpful informations. Peace and love from Greece!!!
yeah, there needs to be a ground-up new emulator that takes all previous experience and just makes it a singular cohesive emulator. like duckstation did for psx
I noticed that using RMG with Glide, many games develop a slight audio delay after only a few minutes. The audio plays a second or two late, its most noticeable in any kind of shooter like Army Men or Doom 64. Any any ideas if there is any sort of fix through settings? Using vers 065, Thanks.
Ive got my own little library running thru retroarch on a mini pc. No clue how all the different plugins and options work, hopefully this helps me to tweak my games for the best experience
I'm confused the Rosalies Mupen GUI that I have installed has a dark theme and the anti aliasing and anisotropic settings only go up to 8 not 16. It says we have the same version RMG version.
@@ScotsmanGamer oh yeah, glad I said to follow the texture pack options to cover my arse a bit lol. There's sooo much little stuff with this emulator, it was hard to decide what's too much info

i get lag and freezing how can get rid of this lag
Hi, id like to ask if you have a list of settings for the smoothest performance for super mario 64. Looking for a frame boost for speedrunning purposes, thx!
The N64 is the only console where I choose not to tinker with the emulation settings. For me, that blurry, lo-res look (as though the entire screen has been smeared with Vaseline) is so intrinsic to the N64's aesthetics. Removing that look via emulation settings would be akin to removing the colour clash from ZX Spectrum games, in my opinion. I'm usually all for upscaling and making emulated games looks better than they originally did, but the N64 is an exception.
I agree, some graphics you have to go with the original look. The Parallel plugin is amazing for that with just enough upscaling to be flattering. Just gotta finish that video.
@@warpedpolygon Parallel is better than Gliden even when you want to upscale because it upscales the graphics more accurately, filters and all. And it also doesn't mess up the 2D elements when you do that like Gliden64 often does.
@@ScotsmanGamer yeah not for me either. Store is cool, if you complete the game with that and the store shaders option on, it should run as good as possible.
i really appreciate these videos! looking forward to the paraLLEI-RDP video!

Thanks man. For doing nall this fine tuning. You're saving so many people, so much time!
Glad to help!
I am a pcsx2 person but always love to watch your videos to gain some knowledge...Love from India 🇮🇳
Crazy that n64 emulation is still stuck in plugin hell. It's not as bad as it used to be but it still isn't great
100% agree

@@gravious There already Ares for that. And Simple 64.
What is the name of the games that are playing in the tutorial????
Cruis'n Exotica
It's such a good port. Almost better than the arcade version

I have the same problem, but in DK64. Still looking for a solution.
Could someone point out the differences between No filter and Sharp 2 filter? If there even are any

If your GPU can't do 16x it won't have it as an option. After some research, it seems a lot of emulators do this. As for the dark theme I'm not sure
Actually, where did you get it from? Their github?
@@warpedpolygon yea the github
@@warpedpolygon I found out the dark mode was because of my windows theme settings, my bad.
Also forgot to say not all texture packs go in hires_texture some are designed to be put in the cache folder!

@@spongebucket533 I'd use parallel instead at native res with all the VI options off.

make a guide for the NES, with good CRT and Composite shaders
That 'store' option nice find as I never use the xbr type filters they're so nasty!
