The issue with Resident Evil ^ let them move on. I loved village, like a lot, but if people like you didn’t exist it’s pretty easy to see Village could’ve actually been unique and not based around RE4 fanfare.

The Black Cloud/Mist reminds me of the Uroborus Virus in RE5 with how within the clouds, you could see grouped up black tentacles- much like how it acts in the later entry, only without the cloud effect

OWWWW, the parasite woman with a protruding monster mouth should have appeared in the RE4, cuz it would show the unpredictability of Genado's mutation. Personally, I want a callback to Lisa Trevor. Also , I believe the developers should have highlighted the role of HCF during the acquisition of the Las Plagas Sample, cuz this would explain how Ada received her orders and why the following modification to the parasite would matter in the RE timeline. Cannot wait to see the video on the cut content of RE 5. Spoiler Alert: Zombies and a specially upgraded tyrant are present in an early version of RE5. A thumb-up rating to our detail-savvy TH-camr.
Also, in another version of RE 5, Jill was ACTUALLY DEAD after her close encounter with Albert Wesker in Spence's Estate, but the developers soon scrapped this version, realizing that this would ignite fans' anger. Before Lost in the Nightmares was finally included in the timeline, the developers once wrote that Jill stabbed Wesker in the right eye before her fall from the cliff. Forgive me if I have leaked too much information @Evil Blitz.
Still baffles me that flirting is considered offensive or potentially offensive in this day and age. So much wasted development in removing content to make the game safer for anyone who had PTSD from a guy thinking they'd be older than they were or that they look cute without glasses.

Just watching all of this "cut content" videos, makes me yearn for a resident evil game that goes ALL out with the horror! So much cut content has stripped RE 4,5 and even 7 from being even greater than what they already are. I wanna be PETRIFIED when playing RE 🔥
if you remove the 'chapters' from DMC1 (as in not having an end screen at the end of each level) you'll realize how the whole game plays like an RE game with free exploration. It's like if RE1 had an 'end chapter' screen every time you used a key item to move forward. Not only that, it's the ONLY DMC game where you can't walk off cliffs. The movement system, while no longer tanky, still had the RE movement mechanics, not to mention the static camera angles. Even if it's a fan-made game, I'd love to see a resident evil game in Mallet island

To a degree the Black Fog, specifically an entity you legit couldn't hurt with weapons until a certain point, concept was ultimately reworked for Resident Evil 8 with Lady Dimitrescu's daughters though insidead of fog they're just locusts.
Another fun fact I came up with lol. Re4 is based off of the movie jackie chan the armor of god. In the movie, Jackie has to rescue a girl who has been kidnapped by cultists somewhere in Europe. And it took place in a castle

A little correction about 2:44. Biohazard is what RE series is called in japan, so the part where you say Biohazard 4 was scrapped was half right. That version of RE4 was the initial concept but was later scrapped. The title is still biohazard 4 but only in Japan.
What if instead of the section of the two garradors and ganados before the spike trap, they put only the two garradors, but the room is completely dark except for Leon's belt light? That would be a challenging segment for sure!
I didn't actually realise that there aren't any female zealots until i saw this. Strange decision considering that there are female ganados in the village and the chainsaw sisters.
There's only one missed cut content that you didn't talk about and that was that onimusha was another idea they had for resident evil 4 where you running around a Japanese house with a character wielding a sword instead of a gun in that game. Which was a concept that was never used for resident evil 4 but instead scrapped and turned into the onimusha series. Just like the concept of Tony Redgrave where they turn that concept into devil May cry.
Imagine walking in the castle all silent and then you hear shotgun sounds. Hell of running i would have took, when some crazy deranged ganado women with a shotgun showed up
It seems like a lot of assets from the hallucination and castle versions were reused in RE Village. The dolls were in House Benevento and the general castle setting in House Dimitrescu. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not but it's still cool.

But one thing that could be a cool hinter is that Capcom said they wanted to change the re4 remake and take some stuff from the old version (castle, hallucination) etc .. Well them making REVillage they will definitely use the assets they already have. And I am also guessing since they take ideas from the old concepts, they might be using the dolls from VILLAGE for the remake... Would be so freaking cool if they included re 3.5

I can tell there are lot of cut enemies in this game that are actually cool. But this one 6:56 it looks like it doesn't fit with RE in my opinion because it more look like it belongs to Paranormal Horror rather than Zombie Horror. By the looks of it. The "Castle" and "Hallucination" versions both sound...interesting. Hallucination might have worked, but I think Castle was too far into Sci-Fi to fit the series' tone. Still, it might work if they ever made, say, an AU Gaiden game

As unfortunate as it is, the silencer was removed because it would serve no purpose. Enemies automatically track onto you, so there is no real use in it. A mod exists where you can add the silencer back into the game on pc.

Even today the hookman scene still has very appealing graphics, at least in my opinion.
That scythe enemy looks pretty much like the Sin Scythe from DMC 1 it even uses the same skull.

@4:08 the idea for the young woman protected by a BOW dog was used for the PS2 game “Haunting Ground” which came out around the same time as RE4.

Can we agree that the hallucination idea was reused in RE8 in the Beneviento part

Some Ashley part was Luis Sera. Ada and Luis might co op and the ballistics conversation belong to them. No thanks bro from Leon and Luis co op. The meat bag was Luis, they forgot to remove it from the final game. I think that some scrapped ideas due to the deadline, budget , and technology that time.

Why is RE4 always such a hot topic
RE4 would've been much scarier had they not cut out these content. Some of these enemy designs are scary looking.
That would've made it an Xbox 360 and PS3 game since they need a hardware powerful enough.
I can tell there are lot of cut enemies in this game that are actually cool. But this one 6:56 it looks like it doesn't fit with RE in my opinion because it more look like it belongs to Paranormal Horror rather than Zombie Horror. By the looks of it. More like a possessed woman holding a gun rather than zombie 💀💀💀🧟♂️🧟♂️🧟♂️
If you think about it *Village* is all about stuff like that...
Which doesn't make it a true Resident Evil in my opinion.

I played the game when it was released almost a year ago.
The game isn't a true Resident Evil.
The story doesn't make sense and is far from *Shinji Mikam* original games.

Why almost always, in many games, the cut content is better than the release version.
They'll probably bring the hook man back in the remake as a hallucination caused by Leon being injected with the parasite

The "Castle" and "Hallucination" versions both sound...interesting. Hallucination might have worked, but I think Castle was too far into Sci-Fi to fit the series' tone. Still, it might work if they ever made, say, an AU Gaiden game

Hey quick thing, the VR version of RE4 is getting mercenaries mode in an update.
I want the Ada Assignment game mode that after you complete it you unlock the chicago typwriter machine gun with unlimited ammo. Also the need to release it on SteamVR too

If Capcom has plans to rebuild this game by using cut contents than the would be definitely worth every single penny.
The previous RE4 builds are the biggest mistery in prototype videogames. Maybe there is nothing at all.
As unfortunate as it is, the silencer was removed because it would serve no purpose. Enemies automatically track onto you, so there is no real use in it. A mod exists where you can add the silencer back into the game on pc.
