    I have a disabled daughter (not in a wheelchair but she struggles with stairs) and we own an Outback very similar to this one.. Our's has the ramp with a full size bed in the front room that flips up. Ours also has a side slide with a big u-shaped dinette. This model has been great for us! Con - small bathroom is challenging, especially the shower. If your a large person, use the RV park showers because the one in here is not 'user friendly'! We love the ability to carry toys but fully loaded our half-ton Tundra suspension struggles with the hitch weight. We need airbags on our truck, that would help. We have owned this trailer for many years and we have taken good care of it but with seasonal temperature changes, the vinyl is starting to peel off the cabinet frames. I need to re-glue them in a couple places. We are also lucky enough to have a large coat/wardrobe closet by the entry door and that has been a huge bonus for clothes storage. We love our Outback - there are other floor plans if you look around - hope you find one.

      The doorways at the entrance from the garage going into the living area is wide enough? Our wheelchairs are like 31" inches wide and I feel like the setup where the kitchen countertop is straight in front of you where you walk into the living area makes it odd angled and not wide enough for majority of wheelchairs.

    I SO APPRECIATE that you listened to your viewers and tried to find a RV that is handicap accessible. I would like to see one that is completely accessible for people using a wheelchair. So it would need to have wider aisles and accessible bathroom. I am personally not looking for one, but I would like to see a manufacturer make one. My window for having my handicapped dad travel with me has just closed unfortunately.

    As a wheelchair user, the concept makes sense, but full accessibly could never be reached with this model, to many standard features obstructing full use. It would be nice to see an actual wheelchair user access said “wheelchair accessible” options. Interior isn’t wide enough for a wheelchair. Having a ramp doesn’t make it wheelchair accessible, would like to see anyone attempt the ramp and feel comfortable about for that kind of money. RV accessibility is a niche industry, this trailer has potential.

    This is pretty cool Myles! Yes, something like this could definitely be used for someone disabled. Even if they weren’t in a wheelchair, someone could be disabled and not be able to walk up steps, the ramp would help a great deal! If someone were in a wheelchair, there are wheelchairs out there that you could get that is a little more narrow that you could use when that person goes camping. It’d be a lot easier to get through the doorways and stuff. Campgrounds do have wheelchair accessible bathrooms and showers so u would just have to ask if they have a camping spot close to there! Thanks for sharing this camper!!😊

    The top bunk doesn't have much clearance, but I love this, I think I'd sleep upside down in the big bed, I get a bit claustrophobic so my feet would be at the window lol. Very versatile rig.

    This isn’t a handicap RV for a wheelchair. Due to the floor plan is tight unable to turn around inside the unit. A person in a wheelchair be hard to use the bathroom to get into the bed.

  • @Brett_Nebraska

    This doesn't seem wide enough at all for wheelchairs once you go from the garage to the living area.
    Do they make this in a wider more open trim without the kitchen countertops in the way or more sliders that make it wider?

    There are several versions. 324CG and 342CG are the biggest version. However, Keystone warranty service, and customer service atrocious. It took two years and arbitration to get the hauler door framing fixed, it was still under warranty even after the two years. It's a beautiful TT and we love it, but the service we've gotten, we will not be repeat customers

    • @mylesrv
      @mylesrv  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately, that’s a difficulty industry wide. So much of your service experience will be determined by the dealership you buy from. When I was selling at the dealership (and it was a keystone dealer), my customers didn’t have these kinds of problems but much of that was because I was at a specific location that had a sales manager and service manager that far exceeded the industry standard when it came to the amount of effort they put into getting customers RVs serviced and covered by warranty. This dealership even had a 4.9 star rating on google with over 1,000 reviews before that sales manager left. So I always recommend people do their due diligence looking into the reviews of the dealer they buy from as that will most directly impact their service experience, much more so than the manufacturer they buy

    Sigh... Myles... please!!! This is NOT a wheelchair accessible travel trailer! Just because it has a ramp does not mean it is accessible. Someone in a wheelchair would not be able to navigate thru the trailer, nor easily be able to transfer onto the bed. And that bathroom is NOT accessible... a wheelchair could not get thru the doorway, nor is there room for someone to transfer to a shower chair and roll into the shower. Please stop advertising this and other trailers and rv's as "wheelchair accessible" when they are NOT. YES, there ARE RV's out there that ARE made to be accessible for folks in wheelchairs and power chairs.

      @@mylesrvthank you sincerely for trying to help find an RV with accommodations; often, accommodations still have to be made by the end user anyway, but there are certain things like countertops, doorways (in particular) and depth of storage that need to be taken into account during the building process for the best results. In my opinion, the doorways are the most vital component as nearly everything else can be adapted to or worked around, or even replaced entirely. Deep storage spaces can have baskets or sliding tracks installed to allow full access to the rear; you could potentially build a riser to raise the area in front of the kitchen sink to a more comfortable level and install lever faucets/ single handle. Doorways are integrated into the chassis, so there’s no altering those(to my knowledge)

      @@mylesrv Myles... wow... you really don't get it... the POINT is that those who use wheelchairs and powerchairs do NOT want you to call something "wheelchair accessible" when it is clearly NOT wheelchair accessible. Again, being able to roll up into an RV using a ramp is USELESS if the person cannot navigate anywhere in the RV. Can you imagine NOT being able to walk AT ALL, and having to rely on a wheelchair or powerchair as your legs? And then be told an RV is "wheelchair accessible" only to learn that only means it has a ramp, but once inside you cannot navigate anywhere?
