almost 6yrs ago when this video was made....i happened to run across it while looking up crafts and ways i could make money while living off grid. it was so inspiring to me and i have not stopped making leather items for outdoosmen since. i owe alot to the Northmen.
Billy, a remarkable amount of craftsmanship went into the spanking you're about to receive.
Thanks for posting this.
Feels weird watching this video wearing one of these belts
I could watch these all day. Thank you for giving me peace at a stressful time.
This is nothing less than art in motion. Thank you so much for sharing I agree Emily these videos are hypnotic. The music is soothing and I just love the hands when they carress and work the leather.
Sadly no saddle stitching here. Rivets are not as strong as waxed linen thread saddle stitched with two needles, fact. Also the best part of a hide is the butt , this belt was cut from the shoulder, where the fibers are not as compact, not as strong , hence a weaker belt. ( I'm a rather critical english saddler...so I do know what I'm talking about...).
yeah nice to meet you

Great video! There is nothing like watching a leather project coming together and all by hand!
This is the video that got me interested in leather craft. , Years later I still come back to watch it from time to time.
This man is amazing. All of these videos are just hypnotic.
Beautiful craftmanship!
Love this video, it creates such a humble feeling to be thankfull for all the small things like having a great belt.
I could watch this guy work all day... But I have my own projects to work on!
Fine filming and even better craftsmanship, as always. Thanks.
One show. True work of art. Congratulations.

Simpley the best man that can make stuff by hand
Just got mine in the mail! Amazing. Best 16th birthday present
How has it held up. Im thinking in getting one. Hows the sizing aswell?
GOonTedgi It has help up 100% perfectly thus far. I've worn it every single day for the past 6 months, and nothing except very light imperfections and scuffs on the finish. Looks and works fantastic. My waist is a 32, and the size was exactly as I expected: perfect. Everyday High school use and I'm extremely happy. Get it.
Never ceases to amaze me!
Love your Videos , Jacob , they are works of art. Cant wait for my Axe. Bob

Wow... just wow... i have only one thing to say now - please, make some more videos.
Great film Jacob!
excellent craftsmanship
Try using a tripod, the handheld shots are very hard to follow. I love the rest!
That wooden mallet is by far the coolest I've seen.
I had never seen anyone use a dremel for side burnishing before, is that a custom wooden disc? It gives me some ideas for experimentation.
Great video.
So cool!
Cool video! Nice leather belt.
Beautiful work. Beatiful places. What do you drop on the wax?
That was the most hipster video ever! I enjoyed it very much though. Keep up the great work
Best advert I’ve ever seen!
Beautiful.
I really enjoy these videos, please keep them coming! (please make a wallet next)
Hello Northmen. I love the built I ordered.
what can I do to make the belt straight again like when it was brand new?. My fat body has made it wobbly?
I’m only ten, but this is some amazing work. One day I might be a carpenter, etc, or I might be a American Soldier fighting for our country, helping other country’s and introduce God and Jesus to them. You guys have inspired me, but I have a few more years left.
No comments..... RESPECT!
Anyone who dislikes this video is an idiot. I can appreciate someone who takes pride in his work.
MrAnguloA vegetarians dislike this video 😁
@@HDHD-yv9np fucking vegans...
What brand hand press is that your using. Looks very well made.
great video
Simply amazing, anymore videos being produced? I would love to see another one.
Kārtējais superīgais video! Tā tik turpini! :)
Excelente trabajo de hacer correas en cuero... ¿Cómo se llama la herramienta de madera con la que corta el cuero en tiras?
First of all thanks for a wonderful video. Great craftsmanship! There was one think that caught my attention so to no avail I read all the comments here to see if anyone has questioned it.
I'm curious about the leather itself, more particularly the flesh side. It looks like it has a backing of some sort, like it has been fuse interfaced. It not just a raw, fussy flesh side. I'm wondering if anybody knows what is that and is it home or factory / tannery applied? Thank you.
You guys should make more videos there amazing!
Obrigado por compartilhar conosco seus conhecimentos.

muito bem feito o vídeo, as imagens, o ambiente e a composição das cores; mas faltou costura no couro e sua marca timbrada. Entretanto, perfeito tudo mais. Parabéns.

Nice, I made my own belt with my dads tools. Though he has a hole punch that you hand turn it in and it does the belt buckle holes one after the other and evenly. But the rest is pretty much what I done :D They last a long time too.
These videos make me want to be a better human.
Storytelling video!
What is the stuff he added to the melting beeswax and what was the Eco Flo he used for burnishing the edges
Please reveal the proportions and composition of the wax mixture !?
