When you have kids there is a whole new set of pros that come into the picture, like school fees. It's super expensive here but our daughter has also progressed significantly in the 6 months we've been here. She can now read and write and she's only 5.
When you say fees, what do you mean. Please tell me how much per month it will cost for tuition for a 5 year old child, 12 year old and 16 year old. Thank you
@1:10 I disagree. We should all make a pact and simply refuse to pay - if we need a bunch of stuff in our cars at all times, then I will make sure to have it. Laughing it off and paying is making the problem continue. This goes for everywhere, airports, govt offices, etc...I have yet to pay This is how we turn this Con into a non issue over time.
So you think when it comes to that, the west is better? I don't think it's a big deal. It's not a perfect system, but it's better than paying a ticket and having your car insurance go up
@@erock9594you’re still not getting the point. Sure I’d rather pay off a police officer in Ghana to go about my daddy than get shot or end up with a ticket in USA, however we should make it a habit to get rid of the habit altogether without trying to soften corruption which goes a long way in hurting a lot more people in Ghana.
@Mike lantern first you're not going to get shot by a police officer in America for a traffic ticket. Yea, corruption needs to stop, but the system in America is also corrupt when it comes to traffic stops. I was just trying to give you a different point of view
Great video and honestly, I'm glad these realities are being put out just as they are. If we tend to sugarcoat the daily struggles ongoing, we shall forever be kept in the dark.
Darling if you don’t make much money and you come here, you’ll definitely rush back to wherever you’re coming from. You’ll enjoy here in Ghana when you got lots of cash. Trust me.
You guys look great and happy! I definitely feel the pain of not having amazon prime!! but the books being sold while in traffic was crazy. lol. Thanks for sharing your guys' experience in Ghana! Great video! I really enjoyed this!
You should show how big the building is so we see the scale of power,..I wish it was lithium,it would be less space and more efficient, people are practically giving away lead acid because that technology is phasing out.
I came over from Jasmine's channel. I am concerned with the fact that you never really own your land as an American. I would love to move there. The corruption honestly as a single woman scares me as well because I know no one personally on the continent.
You just have to know the right people. It is not true that you do not really own your land as an American There is corruption but nothing crazy to interfere with your everyday life.
Thanks to you and wifey. Your story is a blessing and we appreciate you plus the other "youtubers" like Wode Maya for exposing all the lies. Also, I pray that ignorant people in the west will start to name which country when they speak about that continent. They paint the whole continent with one broad brush and say "Africa". Name the country in Africa people!!.
Internet is expensive considering you don’t have unlimited monthly plans like we do in USA. There’s a cap to your Internet data in Ghana and that goes for your home Internet and phone Internet data. So you’ll notice many locals use their data during certain times of the day more, or simply turn off their data to avoid losing data in the background when they’re going to sleep.
Too many books. What I can do it, give you 10. 1. Think and Grow Rich 2.Rich Dad Poor Dad 3.The Psychology of Money 4.The Millionaire Fast Lane 5.Money Master the Game by Tony Robins 6. The Snowball by Warren Buffet 7.Entrepreneur’s Handbook 8. Shut Up and Listen 9 the Dhandho Investor 10. The Little Book That Beats the Market
You are not suppose to pay customs a bribe. When NPP came in power they made they very clear. Maybe they need to start doing the announcement at the airport again so visitors know.
For the people leaving America for so call discrimination. What do you think it is when you get to Africa and continued to get hustled and overcharged for everything? Just stay home, in the West, and avoid all the headaches.
The most people will do is gossip about you and your partner behind your back, but that’s about it. People generally mind their business during their day to day businesses.
@@rushasarethey go based on your look and appearance, the car you drive and all etc etc. they know the locals so they usually will take even 5-10 cedi however once they notice you’re different they’ll try to finesse more from you. Bro next time negotiate until they call your bluff. lol
Good information, but a tad bit too much generalization. It’s not everyone who has the mindset you describe where they are not interested in improving their situation.

Visited last year for the first time and fell in love. The pros outweigh the cons, TRUST ME. Soon return
Thank you guys for the video, i will be moving to ghana very soon, i will miss NY but not really LOL, Enjoy life guys you deserve it...Blessings
It's good to speak the local language to the people, they will not try any tricks on if if you look rich.
I only speak twi to the locals. They are gifted at knowing who has lived in the West before and that comes with the price.
Great video and honestly, I'm glad these realities are being put out just as they are. If we tend to sugarcoat the daily struggles ongoing, we shall forever be kept in the dark.

You guys are amazing! Thanks 👍

To sell.

Thinking about moving to Ghana 🇬🇭. What areas are strong in the Beauty industry?
Accra .
What about internet and rolling blackouts?
Not a problem. Internet is great. Blackouts does not happen often at all to be a problem and we have solar.

You are not suppose to pay customs a bribe. When NPP came in power they made they very clear. Maybe they need to start doing the announcement at the airport again so visitors know.
Unfortunately that was our only option to get our package
Are there jobs there to be had, How is the job market?
The job market is terrible. It's for entrepreneurs
For the people leaving America for so call discrimination. What do you think it is when you get to Africa and continued to get hustled and overcharged for everything? Just stay home, in the West, and avoid all the headaches.

Solar Energy. Kindly email me at rush.jenkings@gmail.com . I can connect you directly.
What about interracial couples?
What about them ?
@@tonymckinney1355 Are they accepted?
No one cares about that. People live their lives here.
The most people will do is gossip about you and your partner behind your back, but that’s about it. People generally mind their business during their day to day businesses.
So the cons are the reasons for the pros, technically.
50 cedis is too much I think ,10 cedis or 20 is ok.
Even better. I tried 20 cedis one time , it didn’t work . 50 or more seems to be what they want from me.

I agree with you but on the average yes.
“Your boys haven’t eaten”😂😂😂

Do you think the problems with corruption happens to people who are of another race or just people of color? Just wondering 🤔
Has nothing to do with that at all. Just the way things are and will get better with time haha
I always wondered that also.
