Just found out about this server and I am absolutely blown away, nice to know I jumped in for a huge update too. My current build is an archer who will be a hybrid bolt caster and sharpshooter
I havn't followed Wynncraft developement during the last couple years, but I saw it develop from Alpha to 1.0 to the release of the 2nd region. It's great to see it becoming a full fledge game on it's own ^^
Appreciate the active uploading man, I was really curious about what's gonna be in the update. Thanks to you I didn't need to search through hell to find good videos about the update
So, everything you dislike about the Paladin and Lightbender is what I am going to love about it. I very much enjoy playing Tanks, and simpler is better for me as well cuz I have a hard time with more complicated classes. When 2.0 finally goes live, I'm leaning towards: Paladin Lightbender Trickster/Shadestepper (undecided) Summoner Boltslinger
I plan to mess around with hybrid classes a bunch, primarily Fallen/Paladin (the names being fitting for a Pelinal Whitestrake build) and Battle Monk/Paladin (potentially fitting for a tanky Water Adept like Piers in Golden Sun). Overall, I like simple too, especially when lag and/or knee-jerk reactions kick in and I'm unable to control my actions super well.
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT RIFTWALKER bro i made a thread saying it seemed boring and everyone hated on it but it really seems to very standard, it needs to have like some sort of actually time bending thing
Idea for riftwalker: holding shift while teleporting will warp you back to where you were 5 seconds ago, and it creates a rift where you were previously that pulls entities towards it and damages them, with the rift lasting for 3 seconds
6:14 Idk if it got these abilities since this video, but the insane amount of healing upgrades made the lightbender simple yet a joy to play with a single ability that gets 3 triggers to deal decent AoE damage, summons a bunch of light orbs, and makes teammates unkillable in a 7-block radius.
Battle Monk and Ritualist are my absolute favorites and hearing Celeste music during the Battle Monk section was really nice hehe. Love your sense of humor and videos :D Keep up the great work !!
Btw what would you rate hybrids, some hybrids make archetypes way better. Fallen monk provides range and speed, making it much better at surviving. Trapper and sharpshooter deal a ton of damage. Lightbender with riftwalker makes lightbender heal a lot AND deal a good amount of damage
Yea hybrids are insane and open up the possibilities a lot further and tbh I have not experimented with them enough to say, once I have more time to do so I might make a follow-up vid or just leave a detailed comment depending on what I'm feeling lol
I know devs plan to completely rework some or all of Paladin Glad to see Bonk got 4th, and while I disagree with Fallen's placement, I can understand it's hard to play for someone who doesn't do perfect play and isn't used to playing with the mythic Hero which rewards you for low health
i see some people dont like arcanist because you dont have heal so you die quickly, but keep in mind that you don’t heal with a spell with any other class (except shaman) so it doesnt change it that much just get some pots and youre good Also i would pull down summoners survivavility, as even though its an in range archetype if you get touched you instantly die if totem heals arent enough, so it struggles with burst and ranged enemies finally, you said riftwalker only gets movement from double tp, which is not true as you get passive up to 300% speed boost from running which is insane
The way I view Riftwalker is this: It's a combo class that, as long as you're alive to continue the fight, gets more and more powerful the longer it goes. The only issue is that enemies don't usually live that long, which isn't necessarily a bad problem to have.
If you use a rift walker light bender combo, you do an insane amount of damage against bosses because the damage builds up as time goes on, and ophanim is basically just extra main attack damage. It makes for an interesting play style of mostly only really using main attack, but use spells for support.
while i really enjoy the mobility of acrobat, i don’t think there’s a whole ton of damage potential backing it from what i’ve experienced. also, i think playing sharpshooter and ignoring the fact that twain’s arc and focus are even a thing and just slapping trift on works pretty well too :) goog video baker o7
Me and my mates are starting a new run, I couldn't choose what to play so I spun a wheel and got shaman. I'm super excited to try ritualist and maybe even that crazy puppet one.
Yea but since this guy likes spell spam play styles it would obviously be lower. But that's what I love about 2.0 whatever your play style is it will be viable!
Ritualist is like a druid gameplay ^^ also i think Light Bender can be really good in support (especially when healing a paladin), just not for solo grind Good video c:
I feel like acrobat's dmg is definitely a 2 or 3 and way lower than shadestepper, since you're airborne you can't really use multihit that often and the dmg you get from the lotus ability that dmges mobs while ur midair isn't high enough to make it worth it shadestepper can reach 100k+ burst dps while acrobat suffers with less than 50k
Interesting, I found that burst dps mattered less than consistent dps (in terms of how I play) but that might have been more so due to the builds I was using rather than the actual archetypes
@@Triflame. how about trickster, I use the exploited (since I am poor) and use high attack speed and mana reduction. The clones seem to be more effective that way, or should I just switch back to be a heavy hitter of shadestepper?
I know im late to this but I actually think its good for Acrobat not to have Vanish. You want enemies to follow you so Jasmin Bloom can deal tonnes of dmg, and your survivability is surprisingly high cause not as many things hit you in the air and you can easily fly away if you’re on low health with your mobility
I was scared for boltslinger after seeing how low you put the other two... but yeah. Boltslinger is amazing. You shoot 3 arrows that home to enemies! And if you have a very fast+ speed bow, you basically have a constant arrow storm! Guardian angel bows are also really fun. I use a mix of mostly boltslinger and a little bit of sharpshooter. Its ridiculously fun!
i love summoner, its high dps makes it so that i can go into an overleveled area and still somehow live by hiding behind a rock and shooting a monster every once in a while
Sharpshooter has a stupid damage capacity at high levels of play. If you get a full 7 focus, my build is doing upwards of 100K DPS at level 75. It’s definitely a difficult play style given the close range encounters that are boss fights, but it’s absolutely bonkers in damage. It’s probably got one of the higher skill ceilings to achieve that dps tho
"And now onto the funny lag one, Summoner" Trickster: Am I a joke to you? In all seriousness, having your clones out while in trickster and using spin attack is pretty much a lag machine.
I don't really like shaman because with their totem it doesn't really feel like you're doing anything because most of their damage and all their healing originates from the totem which just makes it feel way less satisfying than any other class for me. I really hoped totem would be replaced in one of the archetypes. Acolyte does seem pretty neat tho and will probably the one I pick for my shaman.
Great video, earned a like and subscribe from me nice to see a relatively new wynntuber, but what skins are you using for your weapons? are they actual in game skins or are they an external texture pack, because i have never seen them before.
Thanks I appreciate it! My stratiformis, hero, and weathered are all from this texture pack made by kiocifer: forums.wynncraft.com/threads/kios-models.288166/
i landed a bullseye with a dart and board first try. i also once hit someone in capture the wool with an arrow while doing a 360 falling mid-air. needless to say im confident about picking sharpshooter lol (and a lil bit of trapper for the cute puppies) for my shaman, im going summoner, bc i love having armies and i've always loved a "necromancer" theme in rpgs and summoner + acolyte is quite close
I liked and subbed for that moment at the start where you did a 180 and said "Just kidding, everything I say is %100 accurate and totally factual." I love the confidence.
hai, I play wynncraft while 4 day ago, and know my combat level is 31 i wanna know how to add Effect to weapon and armour like Lifesteal or Health regen and other, can you give me tutorial ?
As someone who only just recently started playing again (and played before archetypes were a thing), someone PLEASE explain to me how guardian angels and Twain's arc are strong. The purpose of arrow shield is to keep melee enemies away from you, which GA doesn't do. If you want medium-range damage, you have two other spells that do that 50x better. Twain's arc just... has no damage. And it takes so long to charge up and has a condition to even work in the first place. The cleave damage with phantom ray is just too big to pass up
Playing as a riftbender right now which I am very much enjoying. Makes sense you made them both sound like brain dead classes and I LOVE brain dead play styles
added the rankings of each class, obviously won’t define whether a class is good or not(the lower, the ‘better’) Warrior- 31 Archer- 26 Mage- 28 Assassin- 26 Shaman- 9 tl;dr use shaman
I’ve found mage can get somewhat boring in the endgame as its play style doesn’t change much. Maybe try an assassin or an archer as both are really fun from my experience.
I have another class which is assassin that is lvl 40 something, which is my second highest lvl class but I've played a bit of every class except Warrior bc its never appealed to me. I'm quite drawn to doing more shaman
if you want to be more of a healer mage and still have a decent damage (much less dps than Arcanist tho) you can do a rift walker light bender hybrid I tried it first on my mage profile and it was nice but I reset my skill tree and switched to Arcanist bc you can pretty much almost infinitly spam ice snake bc when u hit enemys with ice snake it gives you 5/60 in your mana bank and if you have like 30/60 in your mana bank and you do the heal spell it will regenerate around 1.33x the amount of mana in your mana bank so as long as there are at least 2-3 enemys you can spam it for a while. (you can upgrade it from 60 to 90 later in the skill tree) hope this helped
hey, what mod/pack do you use for hiding armor? I tried using the wynn pack client side with deleted armor textures, it worked but some mobs like kantyrs which prob use armor in their model are also invis
I use a texture pack that just makes diamond armor invisible to work-around that issue, I'd love to give you a link but I've had it for so long I don't remember where I found it sorry!
Well the CT did say they plan for an August release and considering all that's really left is to fix powders and add one more quest (balance changes not withstanding) I'd say it is possible they'll meet their quota
