Finished the Netflix series, I can't wait to see them delve into Blood of Elves and meanwhile I'm going to replay the entire trilogy, sad that Ciri was only in the witcher 3
Wanna get some more quality Witcher? Watch the old Polish version of the Witcher series (my personal favourite). but be prepared, it´s low budget, it has different story. (just like the new series compared to books)
The witcher series is one of those series where I start a new playthrough with the intention of trying other story paths but end up making the exact same choices I did my first time just to relive the experience

It was actually considered the most appropriate polearm for them (the other polearms on the battlefield were longer and heavier, plus a Naginata could allow even a weaker person to decapitate someone).

I can tell by the number of thumbs you got most people didnt understand the game. But... you are exactly right. The game is about found family. Everything that happens outside of this is really just fluff. Its trully the best rpg ive ever played and it will likely remain so for the rest of my life.

If you think about it, the witcher 3 was never about Geralt, because his hero’s journey was told in the books and the preceding games; Ciri was the Arthurian legend the ballad would remember, and you the player didn’t play as the traditional ‘chosen one’ character, but rather the person who influences and builds the girl into the legend.

That has to be my favorite stanza. :) The first line holds the crown for that though. Something about the sudden force and the note harmonization just gives me goosebumps every time.

The did a really good fucking job. The frustration, of hearing or even seeing your daughter, yet never reaching her, and the final bit... I like near tragic/super intense events like that, though I get pissed when awesome characters die.
Relationship between them are much deeper and metaphysical in books. Probably for 4-5 games like Witcher 3. Their relationship isn't only as a adoptive father and daughter, but they are connected by fate (in my opinion the strongest power in Witcher uniwerse).

As much as I like Emhyr’s character in TW3, I just can never bring myself to bring Ciri to him.
Imagine if Ciri came to our world. She did allude to something like that when Geralt found her in that cabin. "People there had metal in their heads, waged war from a distance, using things similar to megascope. There were no horses, everyone had their own flying ship". Granted we don't have personal flyers yet. As if she came to a world similar to our own just slightly more advanced.
I could be wrong, but according to the books she has been to London.

I love the use of both the voices to both switch between Geralt and Ciri's perspective, and to harmonize, to show tghem working together. The bits of symbolism like that in the songs are part of why this channel is amazing.

Kazmistrz1993 I agree that the most fun I had in The Witcher 3 I had while fighting as Ciri. It wasn't as complex as Geralt's fighting, so it was the right call to limit the time of the sections, but the faster, lighter combat really appealed to me. Dodge roll is great, a staple of any character action game, but blink will always be more fun.
Kazmistrz1993 Ciri is amazing, from a princess to a witcher to a fisstech snorting lesbian bandit, to a slave, to a time and cross dimension traveler, pretty fucking badass. And you can't forget she was friends with unicorns and was supposed to be mother of wild hunt next king, who knows maybe if they would have viagra in this world she could have been Aen Elle queen.
Kazmistrz1993 I kind of hated that she sopped the white frost - for book-Ciri it was an integral part of her character arc that she decided she cared about her personal happiness more than her duties of birth, and so for her to stop the white frost undoes that arc.
aNerdNamedJames Honestly, I just pretend that the books and the games are separate entities. The games aren't bad, but there is the mild issue of their storyline blatantly contradicting the established stories. That being said, I wouldn't say that she cared about personal happiness more than her destiny - at the end, she almost seemed to accept it before asking for time. and considering that she can jump through time, it's potentially possible that she does eventually find the maturity and selflessness to come back and face fate.

Tought at the beggining, before i knew much about TW, I tought that Ciri was Yen and Geraltz biological daughter, because Yen has been always very motherly of her and she resembles Geraltz. I tought she had the same hair and complexion than Geraltz and eyes in that color due mix of parents.

Honestly, she is too amazing to give her too much screen time before it gets stale. The whole point of of her getting chased is becomes of the immense powers she wields and they give you a couple times the chance to try them out to show it's not just words. However if you make it too long, it will either get boring fast since you are a monster or they make it harder which lessens the whole idea of her being well...the most powerful being in the witcher universe.

The Reason why I Love Ciri so much. She wields the blood that is capable of manipulating Time and Space, She is thought by one of the, if not the best swordmaster in her world. She is literally a Goddess but despite all of this she just wants to feel happiness and freedom, but every time there is a catastrophe her heroic side surfaces and she ends up saving the world. Plus she has that sort of attitude which I find attractive.
I think it's impossible for Gavin to do a bad song. Every song he makes is fantastic, and the guest vocalist has a sublime voice. Bravo!

God this game is so incredible! I have no idea how CDPR managed to produce this amount of hand crafted content, while delivering a compelling story with fantastic characters that you could enjoy at your own pace in a massive open world. In my opinion they really blew every other company out of the water with this one. My favorite game of all time by far!

This is still the best song in your discography, with Sovngarde Song as a close second. Its lyrics are constantly shifting, even the chorus is always slightly different, and the way the music itself flows with the voice work is absolutely gorgeous.

I advise everyone who likes the games to read the novels of Sapkowski.
Especially his first two books of the Geralt-Saga, which are short-stories are great.

I was listening to this song after a few years and I started to wonder about the line "wake the wolf with a distant roar". I obviously know about where the wolf is coming from but I was lost on the roar. But like 5 seconds later it hit me. Ciri is the Lion Cub of Cintra... geez I'm so thick sometimes 😂 Great song Gav 😊
This has to be my favorite Miracle Of Sound song. Obviously because Ciri is the daughter I never had, but also because Ailin's voice is just so frickin amazing.

+GODZILLADRAGON111 Would be cool, but (spoiler) would not make sense for some of the endings to Witcher 3. 2 out of 3 of the endings wouldn't work for a sequel.
+Xekos629 She as queen could work depending on the story line, but she never really wanted to rule anyway so I don't think that's the real universe, if she died it wouldn't really be a story xD I think the real one is the one where she is a witcher, and it would definitely be awesome to have her as the main character. Maybe unlocking the powers as you go?
+Sunranaka Yea, but the fact that those other 2 choices were possible means they wouldn't do it. It would kind of ruin the story for some people. I think we need a break from this storyline anyways. I personally want a game where Witchers and tons of monsters were common and there were contracts for them constantly.

I was trying to figure out through the entire song, if it was Lorna singing. A shame there probably won't be anymore Elizabeth-themed songs, I always loved her part in the Bioshock-songs! But Ailin did fantastic as well on this - Ciris Song is going straight to repeat for me the next couple of weeks! :D
