    Other then the OG Primitive tech you're the most authentic I've seen. That starting scene showing your little home really shows the natural progression your home has taken and its awesome, keep it up.

    while watching those videos, i imagine this: it is the year 2070, 30 years after ww3. i am an aged man, sitting around the campfire with the few people i call family. in the flickering light of the fire, i clean my makeshift shotgun, to make it ready to use for bandits or wild animals. a coyote is howling in the distance, but he wont come near to the camp, for we reduced his pack by one today. the killed coyote is slowly roasing over the fire. our children are eager to feast on meat, for we hadnt had any in weeks. for those younger than the war, i have become an idol, a sage, a teacher. for them, i know everything. indeed, i humbly have to admit, that all the luxuries and comforts we enjoy are based on my wisdom of the world. i know basic math, i know how to make iron, how to grow crops, how to use the enviroment surrounding us to our advantage. as evey night, the younglings are full of questions towards me "grandfahter!" they would start "how come, you know of so many things?" and i would tell them yet another story from the past. i take a sip, glancing into the kindles lifting from the fire, and would answer them slow and portentously: "there once was a place called youtube..."

    You should also grow some fruits like peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon and the like
    Edit: and eventually raise fowl of some sort for eggs and or meat. It’s would be time consuming but worth it if you tend to them

    Now that you have a garden, you could make a compost pile to improve the soil. Or chop a few trees to make raised garden beds for cooking herbs outside the house. I would also be interested in a primitive kitchen. You could make an oven fairly easy with the materials you have already. Just something to think about.

    I love the bamboo seed containers. So simple yet perfectly working to keep moisture away from the seeds. Using the ash to fertilize the ground also shows you know what you're doing. I'm curious how will you protect the garden from wild animals trampling or digging up your crops. I presume you'll build some kind of fence, but curious if you go with a simple wowen bamboo or use spiky branches to make it more effective.

    Would be nice to see if u make pathways arround with stone. And upgrade your house with better walls. It will give better view as village. And also put some stones, gravel at your fishes. That will start making natural bacteria that can feed fishes and also get hidding spot for fishes. If fish has hidding spots that means they can breed. I hope one day, you can collaborate with more peoples at your spot. It will be awesome to see mini village. Sorry for long comment but i couldnt keep it 😂 youre awesome! Greetings from Macedonia! 🇲🇰

      gravel makes bacteria ;D lol thats new

    • @ladyjinyxx
      @ladyjinyxx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is true though. Bacteria sticks to surfaces to filter the water and remove ammonia. Although im sure in this pond he has made it already has it because its got pre established items from the river near him. I like the idea of adding hides for the fish. He does have a video out already with him manually spawning fish and raising them if you want to find it on his playlists. He made a little fry nursery.

    • @ladyjinyxx
      @ladyjinyxx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lowdt as an experienced fish keeper i agree this would be a logical addition to his pond. If you do a little research about ammonia nitrates and nitrites youll find it goes hand in hand with bacterial breeding grounds. Which is in gravel, filter media, and decor. Not in the water.

    • @BabeShadeZ
      @BabeShadeZ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lowdt im not professional breeder, but of course i know some biology. Have u gotten any stone, gravel thats not sticky/slimy from any water source that stayed in it? Thats natural bacteria which small fish eats,and other small animals. Its food chain after all. Its natural filter aswell.

    You need a tall stick in the middle of your broom. You and another are my total favorites, Thinking smart (like your water grinder) allows you more time to think about building what would be called family fun. Some people think when you live so dependent of nature,that it should be all work and no play. But I say even God took a day off and even God said do not harm the celebration. So if your going to be in the image of God, I say we should do the things we need to make us have all we need and vegetables help with a good balanced nutrition which allows us to also think smarter not just for the body. We should do this,so we also have time for innocent pleasure, fun, Life should be about work and play not just existence. Not even the poorest of the poor should just live for existence.

    Awesome video, 2 things: 1) seed identification, which seed to which plant, 2) what does ash actually do for the soil? I have seen it used before, but i doen't know why.

    • @jestagaming8123
      @jestagaming8123 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ashes increase the pH and provide nutrients, it's useful if what you intend to grow likes acidic environments. As far as seeds, I'm unsure about the ones he planted this video. I believe he has some form of bean, and what looked like peanut? As well as a strain of corn/maize.

    • @lucasriley874
      @lucasriley874 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ash is often used in primitive settings as an easy and quick to produce fertilizer. Be carefull you don't overload the soil with ash though as it's an alkaline and will alter the soil ph for a while till it's washed out. It works best in acidic soils since it fertilizers and brings the soil closer to the just below neutral ph (very, very slightly acidic works best for most crops) you're looking for.
