Singing behind the beat is a technique used more particularly by jazz singers and it is a technique that Angelina has mastered at a high level since she was very young.
That is true, I was going to say the same thing. Also, Angelina loves to slow songs down and does so with great effect, but she can't really do it with a tape track so she has to keep up to what for her must seem like a rushed pace.
hi guys, I've heard about this jazzy back phrasing stuff before... but I can't hear it myself, just don't have the calibration in my ears to tell the difference.. but I so like to read about our Angelina being a master of all kinds of vocal techniques.
Even Whitney struggled with this song live. So we are comparing performances of a 13 year old with a Whitney at 28 and in her prime. What will we get from Angelina in the years to come? I can't wait!
Thank you gentlemen for this reaction. Marvelous job by a 13 yr. old. Angelina's tribute to Whitney shows no fear, pretty much how she has covered other greats in the industry. I don't think for a minute that is what Angelina is after, competing with the greats, she was born to sing and thats what she does with the greatest joy. Appreciate your reaction, thumbs up sirs.
Great reaction you guys. What I find amazing is that this cover was VERY Whitney-esque, and yet Angelina manages to subtly insert her incomparable “vocal fry” to make it her own. From me, YOUR reaction gets a 9.1. 😉😆

This absolutely beautiful person Angelina is in my humble opinion, the best i have ever encountered either male or female, and she can sing anything at all.
Angelina is just turned 13 in this appearance, Whitney (god bless her) was 29. I love Whitney, but i admit i may be a fanaholic of Angelina's, but i love Angelina's version.
Thanks gentlemen for another great reaction to another great performance by Angelina. It is truly amazing the wide range of artists that Angelina can cover & IMHO sound as good as if not better than the original. Always look forward to your Angelina reactions. Please consider reacting to a couple more when she was even younger: I'm Still Holding Out For You (age 10) & I'd Rather Go Blind (age 12). Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
Around her 13th birthday, Angelina challenged herself and did Whitney proud. Thank you so very much for encouraging viewers to subscribe to Angelina's TH-cam channel. Would be greatly appreciated if you put a link to her channel in the description. I encourage all angels to watch as many original videos by Angie as you do reaction videos each day. Let's boost the analytics for both Angie and your favorite reactors.
Glad you liked it guys! It always has to be remembered this was a tribute and Angelina wanted very much to do it. Somewhere in spirit land Whitney is smiling and thanking Angelina for doing a beautiful tribute to her. And, let's understand Angelina went into this knowing how difficult this was going to be and took every precaution to not damage her voice by overextending herself. Using your rating scale I would give her a 10 for the courage and extreme effort she put into the song.
Exactly! You always have to analyze the circumstances! Of course, there will always be imperfections in such a difficult song sung by a 13 year old girl. Angelina managed to do a great job, showing all her genius and great character represented by her courage!!
Hi guys, this is beautiful, wow, the build up was amazing. Her own take on this record is really something, she goes from strength to strength. Can you imagine her voice as a full grown adult? She is going to be a megastar for sure. Thank you so much for another brilliant upload 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I noticed the same kinda lag in some of her vocals, but after watching many times, I believe it is her way of coloring the lyrics her own way. I like her singing jazz so much more then these type of big ballads. She can do this, but not many singers can sing jazz anymore.
Angelina sang this song amazingly just perfection as far as I’m concerned just keep reacting to Angelina and Elvis and I’ll always follow you the king 🤴 and Queen 👸🏻 no one can beat them Angelina can sing anything she’ turned 16 last week she deserves a 10 definitely Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👸🏻👏👏👏💕👍🥰👋
@Denise Perryman Hello to you in Yorkshire. We have quite a lot of Angelina reaction and have a playlist and will be back with more from The King soon. Thanks for popping in.
Yes, she fully stretched herself here, but what a trooper! Amazing vocal control at 13 years! When you catch yourself talking about her in the same ballpark as Whitney and Jennifer Hudson, that's when you have to remind yourself of their relative ages. She''s played it safe (with her physical development) and not tried the likes of this since, but I'm sure she proved something to herself and others with this, at a time when she was exploring a wide range of genres: if and when the time comes that she opens up again like this then look out everybody! In the meantime, looking forward to hearing the new songs Angelina has been working on and the new album she hopes to release this year. Top-notch reaction video guys.
She phrases on the backbeat like a good jazz singer. She sang this practicing for a charity event directed by David Foster. He was the co-writer, producer, and Grammy winner for the song. She isn't perfect but she does a very good rendition of this song! I'm after a couple of charity events with David Foster and the coaching he gave her she is perfect!!!
I will agree, she isn't perfect, but she isn't far off. I still think the studio version done for the movie is the best version of this song, BUT... I also think this is better than any of the live version's I've seen done by Whitney.
There was a story going around at one time that literally five minutes before they started to tape this performance, one of the original writers of this song came into the studio .. he was introduced to Angelina and others and they settled down to tape. As a 13 year old .. that pressure I can imagine could have been huge .. but Angelina never shows fear or nerves or anything other than the song she is bringing to us at this very moment. Her age is something that truly does have to be considered. How many good adult singers have we seen not getting this song .. I have seen at least three big performers who couldn't hold out to the end or who were just under pitch at the later high notes. Considering all this, I could not but give her highest marks. You are putting her on the same level as the very best in the world and she, here, is 13. I wonder how she would do now, at 16 (her birthday was on January 10) since her voice, I believe, has settled lower as she gets older. But she always surprises and always gives her best. She is amazing.
Good discussion of this song. I agree with you. Two things of interest. Angels pick this song as maybe the only example of Angelina showing effort to sing because she sings everything else so seemingly effortlessly. What else it reinforces is that Angelina, even at 13, had given us amazing covers of songs by Whitney, Adele, Queen, Billie Holiday, Jay Hawkins, James Brown, Elton John and many, many more. I can’t come close to thinking of any other singer who could give me my favorite versions of a song across so many diverse styles. And she kills almost everything.
Nice reaction! A more recent cover of song by Whitney is ‘When you believe’ in which she goes her own direction much more, but so beautifully and delicately. If you want to see the low end of her range, you could check out ‘How great thou art’ or ‘You make me feel so young’.
This angel fly high and low, as she stroke her wings on our cheeks, and hughs our heart with her voice. 😊 No doubt you guys needs to go 9 + on this great tribute to a former queen. 🙎🏽
@13 omg what courage she has to even attempt this iconic song performed an iconic performer. I agree she was really pushing her limits with this one. As noted before, even The Great Whitney Houston struggled with this song live at 28. Great reaction as always! Thank you for supporting our Angle!
Great reaction guys as always ! I'd agree Angelina was stretched a bit in the end ! But that's okay for this young singer ! She is still developing her vocal strength and technique at this young age ! Angelina did this as a tribute to Whitney Houston and it was really a testament to her vocal ability ! Remember guys Angelina is only 13 years old in this video and Whitney was already 29 years of age when she recorded this song ! When Angelina's voice matures even more I think we might be even more surprised at her ability to deliver ! But that's another time ! Thank you gentlemen for continuing your Angelina journey ! You guys are so supportive and have taken this young singer into your fold ! Much appreciated and keep posting ! 👍🤗🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️
Even with all of her other blessings, she is blessed with guts. At 13 years old to take on this song, one we all know by Whitney, are you kidding me. Angelina's got the heart of a lion.
Hi Guys, Yes this is one of my favourite covers from this amazing teenager. Super talented with the world at her feet, she just needs that break now to become a superstar. When she can cover Adele better than Adele its only a matter of time.
I have to echo what others have said. The bit about being slightly behind the beat is just Angelina’s jazz roots showing through. Yes, she did have a couple of spots where she ran out of air near the end. Comparisons to Whitney aren’t really fair. Who knows how many takes Whitney did to get all the pieces that went into the finished product. I’ve watched a lot of videos of Whitney singing the song live and never heard one that stood up to the studio version. Angelina did it in one take, start to finish. I can’t argue with your scoring, though. Given what we’ve come to expect from Angelina, that may have even been generous. Thanks for the reaction.
Hello guys. Wonderful reaction! You know, what sets Angelina apart from Whitney and Jennifer is that Angelina has JUST turned 13 here. And that this is a one take recording without any post processing or Abra Kadabras. As you know, this is a very demanding song to sing, also lung capacity wise. And at age 13, YOUNG 13 at that, her lungs were FAR from fully developed. Which brings me to the scary part... Now, at age 16, they still aren't😂 See what I'm getting at? I guess you do 👍 On to the next, guys! See you soon🔥❤️🇧🇻🇧🇻🇧🇻
There is no way to high, she wants to show her belting skills. But when you listened to her Christmas online show you realize her love is jazz. Amazing jazzy Christmas Songs with famous Musicians
She's 'checked off' all the boxes this song calls for as she pays a beautiful tribute to Whitney. The girl is, without a doubt, the most versatile singer of different genre singing that this planet has ever produced. Her vocal chameleon ability to emulate areas of Whitney's presentation is something that also separates her from other singers I have ever heard, for I've heard in many of the Adele ballads she does, the essence of Adele, Billie Holiday nuance, and Amy Winehouse inflections coming forth. It's crazy when I hear so much of the original, great artists she decides to emulate, while still being a young girl.
7:40 BP2: "... Bangig cover so far ...." All the rest of us now wonder, .... anything below 10/10 is too low guys! What happened?? You are otherwise very skilled and entertaining! 😎👍
By the way, the beet behind is better! Teasing .. If they did not want it, the studio would easily have corrected after recording. So at least it's not a mistake.
Gentlemen, I am so happy you did this one. Given how young she was and the scale of the song - size wise and musically 😊😊it was a fabulous effort. I agree with BP2, that she was falling a little behind the beat, though it seemed deliberate to me. Though I didn't catch the voice strain that he alluded to. Plus she changes it up in between too. If you look at her version of "It's a Man's World" - I hope you react to that soon- you'll see how shre changed it in the middle of the song, and for a moment, had the orchestra conductor slightly surprised.. - That said, great reaction! So I'll take chance and make a couple of requests/suggestions:her rendition of "Every Time You Go away" at age 11, and the two Lana del rey covers: 'Born to Die' and "Young and Beautiful" . Looking forward to your next one...
Have you heard of the Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø? She has a phenomenal voice and is considered one of the world's top crossover sopranos. If you have seen the Titanic movie, then you have definitely heard her voice. Could you react to one of her songs? For example "You Raise Me Up", "Imagine" or "Solitaire" (with Neil Sedaka).
You saw her rise as high as she can in her voice at the age of 13 in this song now see her sing very low in the song "How great thou art" Elvis mmm ...🗣🎙
I am certainly no expert on singing but l have listened to over a hundred reactors and by now more than 1000 reactions. So l am attentive. You two are usually spot on by consider that some Angels have listened to this version many times to your one. I think you are right about her upper register being a bit taxed toward the end but not her lower register. I am not commenting for that but rather for you to note that Angelina is much more comfortable with live musicians where her modulated jazz style and what some call ornaments can come into play. In one famous incident she "scolded" the orchestra for the wrong tempo (in her sweet way. So always pay attention to her live or with an orchestra that she can influence versus a track. I think her jazz roots demand space for voice movement that a track cannot. I don't think she is making a mistake so much as searching for room in the song to express herself. "Angelacize" it.
Fair play gents! 9.3 is a good rating imo. I believe she did try a jazz style with the timing in the beginning where she probably should have just hit the beat head on. BP2 got it right in that what I find incredible is how she performed the softer more subtle notes ala Whitney which most that cover this are unable to do. It's easy to see and hear that she was running out of gas near the end and struggled slightly, which is so rare, but she landed the song with perfection with those softer tones. This was at the cusp of her 13th birthday and I feel pretty sure she just wanted to prove she could hit those high notes because at the time, many were saying she couldn't do it. Her attitude in the booth seems to reflect that. She was out to prove them wrong esp. with that look of confidence in the beginning and with that smile at the end. The bottom line is Angelina was fearless to attempt this and then upload it and I for one think it's overall an awesome performance. She is not afraid of criticisms and probably is grateful to help her improve. Angelina gets a 9.3 but you guys get a solid 10! Thank you Cheers from Florida
It's incredible to see all that Angelina and her family have released onto YT,for us all to track her improvement through the years. From that we see her passion and love for music, her unrelenting drive to release her full potential, her charisma in front of any mic,and her beauty as a human being.
This is not Angelina's usual type of song, but there may have been a reason. In 2019 Angelina was with David Foster (could have been a charity event). It was not their first meeting, but perhaps Angelina thought it might have been something he would like. As it happens, he was heard saying that her performance of What a Difference a Day makes (probably the 2015 event in Singapore) that made him want to work with her.. As for the timing issue, a Jazz singer does not get too much hung up on the beat, if she wanted to stay with it all she needed to do (on the two spots where I noticed it), was to take out the word "it" then it would have been dead on the beat. What I like most about this performance is how she pulled out so much emotion in the softer, quieter parts, she has a way of giving depth of meaning to each word, each note... Just one little thing, when I saw the opening of the video for Easy on me, Angelina could well have been singing this song to her grandma... th-cam.com/video/Z5GLNwSb8Vo/w-d-xo.html - another Bill Withers song from Angelina...
Gents' there is only one Whitney Houston my she RSP, missing her powerful voice is being lost. That said, Angelina Jordan's version of "I Have Nothing" was a tribute to Whitney not to be compared with her only to sing "nothing" in Angelina's voice range.
I've heard others reactors mention her timing being off. I think I know what you are talking about but, given her jazz background, I'm thinking it was a style choice she made. I've seen her react to actual mistakes she has made in a performance and it's clear she has little tolerance for any lapse in excellence in herself. So, not convinced it was a mistake. Also, I've watched many live performances of this song by Whitney Houston and, in none of the live performances did she attempt that high belt. As always, I really enjoyed your reactions and look forward to many others.
Angelina and a cuppa, Even if she did run out of breath a little at the end it's still an amazing rendition for a 13 yr. old. I heard one reactor say she might be lip synching but the fact that the tiny little bobbles were left in makes me sure this was a one take deal. She just ran the tape and nailed it from start to finish. Only a child could have that courageousness and lack of fear. I think it's honest that you did point out those tiny flaws but overall, when I watch this, I am drawn to the sheer joy with which she performs. It's so heartwarming.
@John Roache Hello John, Thanks for popping back in. Well, you should know us tow well enough to know, we have no idea what we are talking about. We just enjoy the music and the journey we are on. Thanks for watching.
Hi! Thank you for another incredible and fair reaction to Angelina. It has been said that she sang this song as a tribute to Whitney but also because it had been suggested that she was unable to "belt". Whatever the case, I am delighted that this performance by Angelina has been recorded, as it is one of my many favourites. If you want to hear something entirely different at the same age, you should react to her interpretation of the great Etta James"song "Ï'd rather go blind". It will "blow your socks off" :-) Here is the link: age 13 - Angelina Jordan - "ï'd rather go blind": th-cam.com/video/pK8mMXQb3_I/w-d-xo.html
Love you guys! I always look forward to your next one. Down to earth and personable, and also knowledgeable. I have a brief suggestion for you. Your support of Angelina is great. It will be helpful to list her official Channel on your description page. And also another idea that came to mind as I watched, why not encourage the viewers to subscribe to her Channel utilizing your banner that scrolled across the screen toward the end. Those would help a lot. Thank you.
So many comments. Angelina was still 12 when she recorded this. Supposedly two takes. Whitney was 29 when this was recorded in 23 takes…Quite normal. Whitney would be proud of her. 🌺 🌺
I dare you to find ANY performance of this song by Whitney, either one full live take or studio take, or even two takes cut and pasted... YOU will not find one this good at any concert or her original album track making of this in studio.... Go and find it and if you do find one, please reply to me here with a link of it so I can watch and enjoy THAT one as well...
I've seen only one casting show performance that gives the song justice: th-cam.com/video/w6IdjXzVIJE/w-d-xo.html (Sorry no subtitles) Like you, the jury first were totally cringing at first and trying to talk her into doing any other song, then totally floored. She subsequently went to win the show.
Would love to see you react to Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust (their most well known song and the music video got voted as the best Finnish music video ever back in 2006 when the song was released). Truly an underrated band from here in Finland. Also a band with many different sounds all the way from slow melodic songs to full on rock. Although if you want to immediately hear a song that showcases how crazy good the lead singer Marko Saaresto's voice can be (and while his vocal range might not be the most dynamic out there he is an amazing example of what you can achieve by having absolutely perfect control of your vocals especially the raw emotion that his voice is able to convey) then i recommend listening to their song Daze. His vocals on the chorus are something out of this world. I just think that so many more people would love their music if they just ever heard them but since their from Finland it rarely happens. Although many have heard their songs in Remedy's video games Max Payne 2, Alan Wake, Quantum Brake and Control (Also every single reactor i have seen reacting to them has been pretty much blown away by their music so i'm very confident you'll like it) also... also... lot's of deep and meaningful lyrics and wordplay in their songs sorry for the long rant i just really want more people to know about them :D
Thank you for all your great reactions. Especially of our angel Angelina. I would like to suggest a reaction of Angelina performing "It's a mans world" ( th-cam.com/video/HEm7tGrjIKk/w-d-xo.html ) where she also show off her vocal range in a different than usual but an amazing way, this is one of my favorite performances of her. Again, thanks for all your great reactions of Angelina, Morissette and others.
BTW - on a different subject: AFAICT, you haven't reacted to _MORISSETTE AMON & ZEPHANIE DIMARANAN "Bang Bang" th-cam.com/video/BUGci3BvmUs/w-d-xo.html . It seems to have been recorded on a 'phone, so the audio quality is poor. However, Zephanie's voice is impressive for a small 12yo person. Her 'speaking voice' sounds 'normal' for her size and age. It's lovely that Morissette used her fame to highlight others. 😂 (Song starts at 21s, and ends at 3m41)
Hi BPx2, I am a Collingwood (Magpies) supporter and the joke over here is I support two teams, mine and whoever is playing against the Pies. The track you need to listen to for an indication of her range is AJ's version of "The show must go on" age 13 to a karaoke track. (HarriBest reaction is worth hearing afterwards) Harry from Melb Oz.
@tq quest Hello to you and thank you for the fun comment, we will enjoy getting to know your Magpies next season. OK, we will add that to our list and try and get to it soon. All the best
I hardly ever play this cover by Angelina because it is obvious that this POP song pushes her a bit too far and I cringe to think that it's not so good for her chords. IMO, you fellas gave a fair reaction to Angelina (and always have) and that is all anyone can ask.
@@brianjohnson2488 Excuse me Brian, I wasn’t talking to you and even so, if you had a scintilla of gentlemanly grace, you would not write in such an imperious way.
Sorry to be so brusk, $#_$ phone. What I was trying to say that Angelina, in this performance, did not put undue strain on her voice, while she WAS seemingly at the edge of doing so. I do agree that it's NOT good for anyone to copy her, without a LOT OF PROPER training.
*9.1* for an eyes closed listen. I was caught by her differences to Whitney. However, as BP1 said, Whitney's recording would be at least from multiple takes, maybe over several sessions, maybe assembled to reach perfection. So, with eyes open, seeing a live performance, I'm with BP2. Angelina's voice hadn't the rich texture of Whitney Houston's, *yet.* I also worried about her damaging her 'chords. She has very little left to prove and decades to do it in. I hope she's enjoying making music in 2080.
2 comments. that was an awesome reaction And after British pop 2 Talk about the lag In the lyrics I Was able to pick up on. Comment 1. I see that you have not reacted to her cover of it's a man's world. Comment to I see that you haven't reacted to any postmodern jukebox. In order I would listen to All about the. After that I I'm convinced that a collaboration between Angelina and PMJ Just be out of this world. I noticed also that you have not done any home free. They won the single off in 2013 and have style themselves as More or less a country acapella group. The songs I see people reacting to the most are ring of fire featuring avi Kaplan from Pentatonix. Man of constant sorrow. When a man loves a Women. I think on veterans day They released brother and arms. They also have a very playful side To their Group. There are so many levels To this song. You'll be able to identify And probably even more than that.
@Lesa Ahrenstein Hello Lesa, thank you for your comment. We have done a few reactions to Home Free and they were our song of the week when we reacted to their "Auld Lang Syne" on New Years Eve. Great reaction, thanks! Jeez, it's embarrassing that some of Angelina's fans can be such jerks ... who cares if the orchestra applauds at the end of the video? It was probably staged, as Back to Black was also a 'music video' not just a 'run through'. There is video of a rehearsal for that video. It's also embarrassing how long the applauds run at the end of her music video for 7th Heaven!
Wow! You set very high standards for the music production business. I've always thought that most producers would sacrifice a few children for a winning track.
You guys really need to listen to the original by Dolly Parton. While the version done here is note for note a cover of the Whitney Houston cover Dolly's original, in my belief, is much better.
You guys are always honest in your valuations. For your perusal: “I’m a Fool To Want You” Rehearsal, at 12, for her “Magic” album, unfiltered.🌺 th-cam.com/video/nGTxeOWaHnw/w-d-xo.html
You seem to score a covered song on how close a rendition is to the original. Angelina does not copy a song completely leaving room for her moods and nuances. I think you under scored her cover in this case, definitely above a 9 for this one.
Angelina is simply the best...
Considering her age here this is absolutely stunning performance from her. And it seems this is quite easy for her.
Amazing by 12 years
She has released this song and it’s so awesome…love her and her music 🤗❤️
Singing behind the beat is a technique used more particularly by jazz singers and it is a technique that Angelina has mastered at a high level since she was very young.
That is true, I was going to say the same thing. Also, Angelina loves to slow songs down and does so with great effect, but she can't really do it with a tape track so she has to keep up to what for her must seem like a rushed pace.
exactly
It's called back phrasing in jazz where you sing behind the beat then you catch up.
hi guys, I've heard about this jazzy back phrasing stuff before... but I can't hear it myself, just don't have the calibration in my ears to tell the difference.. but I so like to read about our Angelina being a master of all kinds of vocal techniques.
@@charlesmiller6510 See if you notice her back-phrasing on Back to Black, it is very prominent th-cam.com/video/LbXUKzOxACU/w-d-xo.html
Even Whitney struggled with this song live. So we are comparing performances of a 13 year old with a Whitney at 28 and in her prime. What will we get from Angelina in the years to come? I can't wait!
There's a point to ponder!!!
Whitney performed it a half-note lower when she sang it live.

From a girl 12/13 yo known for her soulful low notes to do this is unbelivable but its Angelina.
Your title said it all, it's a cover not a replica.
This angel fly high and low, as she stroke her wings on our cheeks, and hughs our heart with her voice. 😊
No doubt you guys needs to go 9 + on this great tribute to a former queen.
The girl with 1000 voices
She always amaizing...
Now, at age 16, they still aren't😂
See what I'm getting at? I guess you do 👍
On to the next, guys! See you soon🔥❤️🇧🇻🇧🇻🇧🇻
I would love to see her try this one again. Great reaction, Cheers.
Guys, Whitney 28 when she recorded this Angelina 13.
There is no way to high, she wants to show her belting skills. But when you listened to her Christmas online show you realize her love is jazz. Amazing jazzy Christmas Songs with famous Musicians
She's 'checked off' all the boxes this song calls for as she pays a beautiful
tribute to Whitney. The girl is, without a doubt, the most versatile singer of
different genre singing that this planet has ever produced. Her vocal
chameleon ability to emulate areas of Whitney's presentation is something
that also separates her from other singers I have ever heard, for I've heard
in many of the Adele ballads she does, the essence of Adele, Billie Holiday
nuance, and Amy Winehouse inflections coming forth. It's crazy when I hear
so much of the original, great artists she decides to emulate, while still being
a young girl.
Very entertaining reaction. But I think you still don’t know her whole range: How Great Thou Art
7:40 BP2: "... Bangig cover so far ...."
All the rest of us now wonder, .... anything below 10/10 is too low guys!
What happened??
You are otherwise very skilled and entertaining! 😎👍
By the way, the beet behind is better! Teasing ..
If they did not want it, the studio would easily have corrected after recording. So at least it's not a mistake.
some say she is one dimensional . .i would love to ive in that one dimensional world .. good stuff guys ... great review ...
She is fearless at 13 years old!!!♡🙌♡
Great reaction and she was 12, not quite 13 and Whitney was 29, I'd like to see another 12 year old do that, God Bless!
Well played, well puffed and very well played;-)
Gentlemen, I am so happy you did this one. Given how young she was and the scale of the song - size wise and musically 😊😊it was a fabulous effort. I agree with BP2, that she was falling a little behind the beat, though it seemed deliberate to me. Though I didn't catch the voice strain that he alluded to. Plus she changes it up in between too. If you look at her version of "It's a Man's World" - I hope you react to that soon- you'll see how shre changed it in the middle of the song, and for a moment, had the orchestra conductor slightly surprised.. -
That said, great reaction! So I'll take chance and make a couple of requests/suggestions:her rendition of "Every Time You Go away" at age 11, and the two Lana del rey covers: 'Born to Die' and "Young and Beautiful" . Looking forward to your next one...
Incredible voice.🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you for your reaction!!
Waiting for more!!!
❤️❤️❤️ Always look forward to your Angelina reaction!!!
@sisselfan
Thank you for the recommendation, we have not heard of Sissel, but we will check her out.
Thank you for watching.
@@BritPopsReact Yes, you really should react to her. I am looking forward to it.
Try to find Angelina Jordan singing "I, Who Have Nothing" in the studio at 6 yrs old. I believe this was her first recording.
I just found the reaction to that song that they did 5 months ago. Guess I'm late to the party!!
You saw her rise as high as she can in her voice at the age of 13 in this song now see her sing very low in the song "How great thou art" Elvis mmm ...🗣🎙
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@frank phillips
Thank you for the thoughtful comment and we appreciate the support.
13 years old girl - and today? 😊👍👍👍
It's incredible to see all that Angelina and her family have released onto YT,for us all to track her improvement through the years. From that we see her passion and love for music, her unrelenting drive to release her full potential, her charisma in front of any mic,and her beauty as a human being.
It's a lovely track. 👍👍
Great song. 👌👌
From Basque Country with ❤️.
There isn't much this girl won't tackle, and can't murder.
Angelina and a cuppa - That's a Brits way to do it!! :) - Thanks for watching... great comment
How could you not know that she’s behind or ahead with the lyrics… That’s her jazz influence. It has been awhile since I found you guys, again. 🌺🌺
@John Roache
Hello John, Thanks for popping back in.
Well, you should know us tow well enough to know, we have no idea what we are talking about.
We just enjoy the music and the journey we are on.
Thanks for watching.
She is amazing 🤩
It will "blow your socks off" :-) Here is the link: age 13 - Angelina Jordan - "ï'd rather go blind":

How Great Thou Art
Love you guys! I always look forward to your next one. Down to earth and personable, and also knowledgeable. I have a brief suggestion for you. Your support of Angelina is great. It will be helpful to list her official Channel on your description page. And also another idea that came to mind as I watched, why not encourage the viewers to subscribe to her Channel utilizing your banner that scrolled across the screen toward the end. Those would help a lot. Thank you.
Next to listen Angelina Jordan sings Mary's Boy Child at NRK Radio. She was 11 at that time.
So many comments. Angelina was still 12 when she recorded this. Supposedly two takes. Whitney was 29 when this was recorded in 23 takes…Quite normal. Whitney would be proud of her. 🌺 🌺
I've never been a big fan but this is brilliant!
I've seen only one casting show performance that gives the song justice: th-cam.com/video/w6IdjXzVIJE/w-d-xo.html
(Sorry no subtitles) Like you, the jury first were totally cringing at first and trying to talk her into doing any other song, then totally floored.
Although many have heard their songs in Remedy's video games Max Payne 2, Alan Wake, Quantum Brake and Control
(Also every single reactor i have seen reacting to them has been pretty much blown away by their music so i'm very confident you'll like it)
also... also... lot's of deep and meaningful lyrics and wordplay in their songs
sorry for the long rant i just really want more people to know about them :D

Hello to you and thank you for the fun comment, we will enjoy getting to know your Magpies next season.
OK, we will add that to our list and try and get to it soon.
All the best
I have nothing I Whitney Houston cover Angelina Jordan age of 12 starts out in G Aends ESharp
I hardly ever play this cover by Angelina because it is obvious that this POP song pushes her a bit too far and I cringe to think that it's not so good for her chords. IMO, you fellas gave a fair reaction to Angelina (and always have) and that is all anyone can ask.
Actually, when you know anything about vocal techniques Angelina forced nothing and at all times her vocal chords were never forced.
@@brianjohnson2488 We are good my man. We also have a common love for an extraordinary young lady.
You were right at the start she was behind the beat. But the rest was Angelina being Angalina ie Killingng it.
As good as Whitney was (RIP), she couldn't do this at 13.
Lovely
I wonder if you found her cover of the song Stay in acapella way, that's magnefecient.

Hello, no not yet but we have it noted down now thanks to you.

A very difficult song by David Foster and AJ's cover was not perfect but very good she was obvisibly trying to push herself
You guys really need to listen to the original by Dolly Parton.
While the version done here is note for note a cover of the Whitney Houston cover Dolly's original, in my belief, is much better.

You seem to score a covered song on how close a rendition is to the original. Angelina does not copy a song completely leaving room for her moods and nuances. I think you under scored her cover in this case, definitely above a 9 for this one.
