      Question, when. You was in luxor was there plenty of taxis fro tge west bank ferry to take you to valley of the kings? And how much did you pay for a taxi day hire?

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kingvadervlog8280 Actually I rode my motorcycle from Cairo to Luxor so I didn't pay for any taxis in Luxor I just rode my motorcycle around. In Cairo I once negotiated with an Uber driver to drive me and some tourists I was showing around for the day (like 8am-3pm) for $30 USD, plus a tip at the end. But that was in Cairo, and an Uber driver. There are no Ubers in Luxor and the regular white taxis always charge more. But you could try negotiating with them for maybe a similar price. $30 USD at the current exchange rate is around 930 EGP. But that was also a while ago when the Egyptian Pound was a bit stronger, so it would probably also cost a bit more now...Yes there are plenty of taxis in Luxor willing to take you all over the city including to the Nile

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know why but I am unable to see my previous response, so I will reply again. Balloon accidents can happen anywhere, I suppose it's a risk anytime you go up in the air. But considering how many balloons fly each day or week (hundreds), I don't think the numbers are actually that high. But obviously you should just do whatever you are comfortable with. Even if you don't go up, Luxor is beautiful and it's nice to see the balloons in the sky

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      😆I like how your mind works 😆
      I don't personally use a lot of oils, but I have purchased some for my mother and sent some to her in the past. I think there is a shop with decent prices in Khan el-Khalili in Cairo, I actually made a video about it: th-cam.com/video/435QVWVA4B8/w-d-xo.html
      Khan el-Khalili is a huge sprawling market so it may be hard to describe to you where this shop is, but basically if you go into the market from the entrance across the street from Al-Azhar Mosque, go into the market, then go left for about a block or less. Once you come to an intersection with 4 streets (very obvious intersection within the market), the oil shop is on the left corner from where you are walking down from....Oh I just googled the area to see if I could find the shop on maps and guess what?! I found it 😅 It is called عطور وردة Warda perfumes on Google Maps. He has decent prices, but it can't hurt to try and bargain a little and see if he will bring the price down a bit. I was just recently there because someone I knew wanted to buy some oils, and the prices were a bit more than before, but there has been inflation in Egypt, especially with the Egyptian Pound losing value over the past year. Best of Luck!

Egypt has been experiencing lots of inflation (like many parts of the world) and we are now entering peak season in Egypt (October-Feb) so things may generally cost more

      @Gventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@albertoavila9856 Good luck! If you can't, well...if you compare the price to other hot air balloon rides around the world, I guess it isn't so bad. In the US a hot air balloon ride costs like $300. In Cappadocia, Turkey it's around $120-$160. The cheapest hot air balloon ride I've ever heard of (outside of Egypt) was in Vietnam, where the ride costed $90-that was in 2019 though, it's probably more now. I'm not sure what a fair price is for a hot air balloon ride in Egypt, to be honest, but if you really want one, just compare it to other countries and it's not so bad.
