This was a difficult model to build for me, and I have over 50 years of scale modeling experience. But, you make it look so darn easy. You are a true model master. Much respect. Among other problems, I couldn't get the main gear straight. I wonder how this kit compares to the trumpeter version? I do know the trumpeter version has rivets. This one does not.
Hi Dan. It was pretty tricky for me as well. Don’t let the editing fool you. :) I understand the Trumpeter does have rivets. It’s the one I will building when I plan to tackle the Hind again.
The Hind was a lumpy boi. That's the one part Monogram got right with their ancient 1/48 Hind-D. Monogram provided all the rivets and raised panels, but of course left you with raised panel lines due to old Boomer molding technology.
Excellent build and avsuperb paint/weathering finish, congratulations on painting thd arrows on tne rear fuselage, best regards from Australia, Les
Thank you very much!

You got the cockpit color right for an Afghanistan-era Hind.
