This is SO good… The writing is amazing, double entendres, tension in the subtext, so many great writing techniques to learn from. Thanks so much for posting this.
I played the mother in the Standish scene and a birthday party kid in... the birthday party scene in my show! Closing night was yesterday and I was interested to see how our portrayal matches up to this one. Very entertaining!
Cool. I found it! I am doing a scene from this play on Monday for acting class. I've never heard of or seen this play. Now i have something to reference and even study.
I play Carolyn, Dora, Nancy, and Aunt Harriet I’m this play ^~^ I’m also part of costumes and Set, I can’t wait! Thing is we’ve only had about 3 weeks to work on this so far and we have to be off script in 6 days; so far I’m doing decent
"and before you know it, your grandson will be back at the plow." Really powerful, and so true. Reminds me of the saying "Father merchant, son gentleman, grandson beggar."

Opening night tonight. With two weeks to learn ten characters has been an extreme challenge.

Did this in my first acting class. Did the Michael/Aggie scene. Also, notice William H. Macy the great in here, as well as John Shea?
This is so intresting, the way they play the charachters is so different from us
My class at Toronto Film School Performed this last sept to great reviews.

Ermagherd! Opening dialogue from WH Macy sounds exactly like what Frank from Shameless would say. This is poetic.
