This channel is devoted to movies and television series of actors from the classic daytime series "The Edge of Night". As long as youtube allows I will try to post the full episodes and movies.
My other channel where I post Edge episodes and tributes can be found here th-cam.com/channels/8IAVvlROZSeFbNjgVHiZ_Q.html
I also have a blog where I write the original Edge of Night mystery series "Return to Monticello".

The Dining Room by A. R. Gurney (Featuring Edge's Jeanne Ruskin)
The play, "The Dining Room" was on PBS' Great Performances. It featured Edge of Night's Jeanne Ruskin (Laurie) in several roles. It also stars: Frances Sternhagen, John Shea, William H. Macy, Pippa Pearthree, Remak Ramsey.
The play is a comedy of manners, set in a single dining room where 18 scenes from different households overlap and intertwine. Presumably, each story is focused around a different family during different time periods who has in their possession the same dining room furniture set, manufactured in 1898. The stories are about White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) families. Some scenes are about the furniture itself and the emotional attachment to it, while other scenes simply flesh out the culture of the WASPs. Overall, it tells the story of the dying and relatively short-lived culture of upper-middle class Americans, and the transition into a much more efficient society with less emphasis on tradition and more emphasis on progress. Some characters are made fun of, as is the culture itself, but there is also a genuine longing for the sense of stability, comfort and togetherness that the culture provides.

If she lived today in San Francisco, she wouldn't have even been arrested...We need to go back to the times of this movie!!!!
2:48 made me cringe so hard 👀
Its never a good idea to go shop lifting even if you want things in that store.
Miss the afterschool movies these were really good and learning movies

These are fun, but I graduated high school in '80, and the music these kids dance to is NOT the music we danced to. There were some cool new sounds coming out back then!

I'm LDS Mormon. Shoplifting in general under all circumstances is stealing, banditry, robbery, thievery, and burglary and is against God Heavenly Mother Jesus Christ Holy Spirit And The Angels In Heaven 😇👼🏿🧞♂️🧞♀️🧚🏿🧜🏿♀️🧚🏿 and against the law 👮🏿🚓🚔🚨🚑🚒⛓️🔗😢😮! 11/2/24! 6:53pm! 16:24. Also, Karen, you need to get your own income by working and earning your own income and the legal way as well as usual as always in general under all circumstances! Money 🤑💰 never ever under any circumstances either ever and evermore grows 🧫🪴🌱💗💹📈 on tree 🌲🌴 s! 11/2/24! 7:05pm! 28:21
Thank you for posting these.
Mr Edward’s daughter ❤️ from little house on the prairie
Lucy from SuperGirl movie
Omg the scenes of the cheerleader dancing and practically giving the basketball player his own lap dance in front of everyone is just sooooo unrealistically 80’s!!!
Make sure to shoplift condoms before the big date with Pete!!
I was 13
While we were watching this in school, our government, along with most governments, ignored Israel stealing an entire nation. 1981- almost the 14th year with no action in the USS LIBERTY attack.
The early 80s. When no one had a cell phone and people actually talked to one another. Relationships were real. I remember seeing "Shoplifters will be prosecuted" signs everywhere back then. Most stores were serious about their customers not stealing from their business. Those signs were serious as I always took it seriously after learning to read.
That looked like a fun dance!
Who had to fight that urge to want to adjust the antenna?
These were cheesy, but effective in their purpose. Scaring kids straight and improving outcomes.
Shoplifting is good and this is not what would happen if she got caught. Wage theft actually steals more than shoplifting annually.
Her hairstyle reminds me of those girls who appeared in late 70’s/ early 80’s tampon ads!!😂
Why does she avoid “making out” with him? Given the times, it’s seems unlikely & unrealistic. Most were “at it” like rabbits!
The cheesy “touch dancing” 😅😂(31.33). I can’t recall dancing like this.
These shows used to make me feel depressed in the 1980’s as the parents were so reasonable, calm and decent. My parents would’ve physically harmed me simply if I answered them in a manner they didn’t like.
The way Pete's jeans fit 🍆 I would have gladly put out for him. Karen had no excuses😂. I love how jeans were fitted on guys in the 80s
WTF?
That Pete guy was a total jerk.
You can't get away with shit anymore, with cameras watching us constantly (including now).
The girl looks like she's in her late twenties and the guy looks like he's thirty something.
five minutes and thirty seconds to the door. She's sweating bullets and she's paranoid. She's wishes she hadn't took but she's determined to get away with it one last time.
That blouse she wore to the dance was too much.
OMG the crazy marching band music when she gets stopped trying to leave the store And the statistics the cop quoted: $16B dollars in 1981?! It might be into the trillions by now!
im 61 a woman i remember when i first theived i was 6 stole another girls doll i liked it spiralled from there in 80/90s used to go to woolworths theive shampoo vitamins towels sheets anything not nailed down when i got older my daughter me and her were single at the time 2001 to 20011 we,d steal disposable nappies baby milk s26 its called over here in australia same scenario steal anything not nailed down in the shop fast foward id never do it again got born again in 2018 im embarrassed of my actions but Lord showed me we did it we were in the flesh (thats my past ) amen im forgiven hallelujah and i can say from experience its a hard habit to break but thats why my beautiful Jesus died on the cross for our past horrilble sins amen dont steal ppls u leave a door open for satan scumbag if we dont find Christ our sins will get worse amen God bless everyone ☺❤🙏🧔♀👵💐🛐✝

26:51 "Maniac 2: portrait of a mall cop"
Darn that did get good Edit: SNAFU. lol awesome Edit: Early 60s idealism is so great, I mean, i think it's - I hate corny, too, but - I think it had kind of a purity and maturity right before the whole hippie thing
This is why you should only shoplift from goodwill. They blow.
Hopefully she gets caught!
Stupid security guard and them girls stealing!
@4:46 it’s the fountains at Paramus Park in NJ!!!! Gone now apparently.
Miss miss
It’s all fun and games till you get caught
This is so intresting, the way they play the charachters is so different from us
Getting off the subject. At 6:40, there are all pinball machines in that arcade. This was late 1981. There should be video games like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong machines in that arcade.
