    Thank you Thomas for your TH-cam videos and insights to the Norwegian travel/camping culture. Please let the amok guys know that I bought a 5.0 because of you. Your videos of Norwegian roads/geography are bar 🍸 none the best I've seen on the internet. If I can find a way to ride in Norway, I would really like it if I could spend a day or two with you so you can show me the beauty of Norways west coast. Take care and ride on,

      Wow, thank you Roger 👏🏻 I really appreciate that 🎉 I will make sure to let the people at AMOK know about that 😉 I normally stop and say hallo to people when I'm out riding or if they are close by where I live. Make sure to let me know when you are in Norway and let's see what we can make of it. Have a great Holliday and Merry Christmas

    I went to my local dealer and they had the 901 too - It was much smaller than I had anticipated (compared to my 701 enduro). I found it wide in the front as well, but I really liked the centre of gravity (from sitting on it) compared to my previous bike, the T7.
    Can’t wait to ride it in the spring!

    • @tshansen
      @tshansen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I had that same feeling myself. It felt like mye 790, but still smaller in a way. I think it is part of the front fender missing and the lower seat. The 701 is a great bike, but a pain to ride on long adventures. I had the 690 🤣 Where are you located in Norway?

    Dear Thomas,
    Thank you very much for your comments.
    I'm 197 cm so i understand about the ergonomics and I believe that the seat can also be mounted about 3 cm higher in a similar way to the Guzzi Stelvio.
    When the weather warms up here in Ontario, Canada I plan to try this and the Aprillia as well and compare the 2 for my next bike.
    Which do you feel has the best ergonomics for someone your height with really long arms and legs?
    Best regards,
    Niall Leslie.

    • @tshansen
      @tshansen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Niall 🔥
      I see a lot of people report that you can lift the seat, but i did not manage to see how it’s done when i was down at the dealer. I would like to try the new Triumph, dessert x from Ducati and yes the Aprillia and the new T7 from Yamaha. When it comes to ergonomics it is really hard to tell. I know what my body and my driving style prefers. And i know it differs a lot from what other people tend to like when they are riding. I think everyone just need to adjust the bike and see for them self. Cheers

      @@tshansen I find KTM/Husky very nice bikes to ride. Even have a good local dealer. But I'm used to Japanese bike quality. Bikes have to run when I want fun ;-)
      Although - I find the upcoming KTM 490 twin a very attractive idea. Lighter than my Transalp 600, more power than my Beta Alp 200. I'd rather have civilized 150 kg Enduro than a GS, but that's only my preference.

    Thanks for the quick review 👍🏻. Looks really nice, did you try it with the seat in the highest setting? My OCD is finding it very difficult to cope with the yellow part no lining up 😵‍💫 when the seat is set higher though 😄. I really like it though, might be a 2023 bike for me, so would go for the heated seat which is black with yellow stitching. I’m 182 cm tall so would lower the footrest a cm or 2, put barkbusters on, centre stand, heated grips and a NAV mount above the dash. Some soft luggage and Norden, here I come 😄.

But I do some photo work as well, so for me it was not a option for anything else than the a7s iii 🔥 But the FX3 with the grip and audio... damn it is a great package. Some would probably debate this, but I picked the best do it all lense because of my budget. The sony FE 4 / 24-105 G OSS I'm blown away by this lense and for that price... for my use. Incredible. @@tshansen Not sure how to clarify what I think the difference between a fog light and a driving light, but here I go. Fog lights are bright and light up an area close to the bike. A driving light is more like a high beam that shines 40 to 50 feet in front of you. I find that you can out run a fog light at 70 mph where as with a driving light you can hit warp speed and the beam of light is still out in front of you like your high beams. Hope that makes sense.

      Dear Greg,
      With respect: The auxiliary lights appeared to be driving lights. The correct beam patterns are as follows: Driving lights = high beam / Fog lights = low beam with a sharp cutoff along the top of the beam to minimize back light reflection from fog, rain and snow / Running lights = weak high beam / Spot lights = concentrated high beam without much lateral or vertical spread.

Bit expensive admittedly, but if you’ve been thinking about a change, this could well get more subscribers to your excellent channel. I originally found you, when I was looking at the KTM 790 Rally, I’m sure many others may well of found you under similar circumstances.
