This video reminded me that not every campsite needs to be perfect, it's ok to get my shoes wet, and I'll always find a pleasant surprise on my journey when I least expect it. Thank you for that!
Just a traveling tip, if a ticket (or sign or receipt or anything written out) is a language you can’t read, use the camera icon in google translate. It works on a LOT of things; I’ve even seen it work on handwriting if it’s clear enough.
Adam and Katherine are just rolling with the punches here…😊😂. You got to bend when the wind blows. This train adventure reminds me of some of the train trips I took in Romania. I love how you share the highs and lows and always come through with a smile! Fun vlog! You’re the best!
OMG Kathryn I had to laugh at myself when I tried to reach out for your food that was about to fall. Lol, I am so into the videos. I admire that you and Adam can turn negative experiences into positive ones. That is such a good attitude because, sometimes travels do not turn out as we expect them to. Enjoy Vietnam and thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I look forward to your next adventure.😄
😂😂 that's so funny! We only had a couple roommates with us and it wasn't all that bad! The views out the window all day made up for any negative! Thank you and thanks for watching!
I’m enjoying the sights of Vietnam that you are sharing; if I ever go to Vietnam - - no train ride for me! lol. We did experience an overnight train ride in Germany about 32 years ago; it went well; we did it for the experience.
Looking out train and airplane windows truly changes your perspective on what everyday life looks like outside of "street view". Glad the cockroach didn't make another appearance, and glad you made it to Da Nang safely. Can't wait for the next video!
This overnight train trip looks funny and interesting, haha. I always love to travel by train, especially for those which you can stay one or two nights in. Unlike those people who hate the train being slow, shaking and noisy, I just love this feeling on the other way. Becaue the "Shaking bed" makes me feel that I am still in my mom's hands, I can really sleep well no matter how loud or uncomfortable the train is.
I served at a navy base in Da Nang in 1970-71. Things look quite different there now! 😂Glad you had fun on the train. Vietnam is, as you know, very humid and tropical, so bugs will be common. I also saw a huge cockroach when I was stationed in Orlando, Flordia, in the navy in 1968. That critter was about 4 inches long and was skittering up a support post at an outdoor laundromat. I doubt Orlando has outdoor laundromats now. That was pre-Disney, when it was mostly a retirement community full of old people (like I am now) and their tons of dirty laundry (in more ways than one, probably!). Anyway, thanks for taking us on that ride. Fun to watch as always.
The bugs don't mind us honestly. It's to be expected when you travel! But when you're trapped in a small box with them then it gets interesting 😂 Thank you for your service and thanks for watching!
I have lived in SE Asia for 35 years now, having emigrated from the UK in 1988... I have visited Vietnam many times, including spending a month there in 2019, and it is one of my favourite countries. And who cares about a few bugs? Comes with the territory in much of SE Asia!
Hello Adventures, this has been AWESOME! That train ride was really cool...oh and the delicious food😁😁. And that cockrouch...I'd be nervous too. AMAZING VIDEO!
Dang you all have really kicked off 2023 with loads of traveling from Mexico to Vietnam and so on. So happy for both of you! You all are living life to its fullest. Take care and stay safe. ❤😊
My wife and I did this exact train trip last October, in the same 2 bed room. Best nights sleep of our 1month Asian trip. We didn't realize the food was included and declined, not realizing. The bathroom was awful. My Dad was in a 4 bed a few rooms along the train making friends with locals lol. We will always remember it. Different experience to yours but fabulous memories.
Informative vid, thanks. I did the exact same trip in 1994. The trains look to have improved a lot since then. The smell of the squat toilet back then is something i'll never forget.
You can take the next train from Da Nang to Hue city, this is one of the beautiful trains in the world, as this line goes around the coast and mountains. It's very beautiful❤.
Being a daughter of a 30-years-experiece train staff, I always like to travel by train despite it is slow, noisy and shaking. And I'm sorry to say you missed the best part which is a route from Danang to Hue where there is Hai Van Pass, the scenery is so so beautiful ( the last time I see Hai Van Pass was about 20 years ago when I travel from Hanoi to HCMC with my mom, and the memory of seeing it still remain in my mind). Last month I traveled from Hue to Danang by car so we went a tunnel ( Tunnel through Hai Van Pass) and there was nothing. If you have a chance please consider travel by train to see the view of Hai Van Pass ( or you can rent a motor bike from Danang to Hue, you'll get to see the pass too)
What gorgeous scenery. We took 1 overnight train ride between Rome & Paris, and sprung for a sleeper car. Unfortunately, we went through the Alps overnight and missed out on the incredible scenery. Fortunately, we didn't sleep a wink and we saw parts of the Alps by moonlight. I believe there were two reasons why I didn't sleep. Our beds were east/west (perpendicular to tracks), and it would have been more restful to be north/south (over tracks). Also, there were a lot of altitude changes and tunnels, which caused our ears to pop. Looking forward to next week's adventure.
Oh wow! That sounds like an amazing ride and seeing the Alps by moonlight sounds beautiful! I'm interested to try to sleep on a train with north/south beds some time. These were east/west. Our ride was very flat, but I can see how altitude and tunnels would make it a challenge Thanks, Glenda!
Stumbled across this video randomly, but you guys have such a wholesome positive energy that I had to subscribe! Thanks for the video - I was considering flying but the train experience seems unforgettable!
Hello from Upstate NY, I am originally from the Mekong Delta south of Saigon and I am a wanderlust myself. I've been watching U2 since Covid year, always enjoy your show and all of your journeys!! It is common that you experience the bugs in Vietnam, I don't like them myself when I am home visiting family. Big part of Vietnam still is a third world country, but it is definitely much better since I left home in the late 70s....U2 are pretty cool travelers, take it all in and enjoy all the experiences.....hope the google translate will help.....looking forward to see your next moves!
We've been here several weeks now and still haven't seen thaaaat many bugs indoors. It has been a wonderful experience being here and seeing Vietnam. Thank you and thanks for watching!
I'm so excited to see your Vietnam adventures! I'm going in May 😊 I don't mind a 10 hour overnight bus/train but 17 is a but too much time out of my day, so I'm flying from North to Central to South. But thanks for sharing what I'm missing out on 😂😂
Yes that is understandable. We just wanted to do it for the experience. We've taken a couple shorter train rides since and they've been good! We've also done a few flights to get around as well. Flying does make more sense and not that much more expensive Thanks and thanks for watching!
My thought as I saw the bloopers..."Whelp, Mr. Roach and his family will now feast for the next year on that!" Hahaha! Many people say you don't really take the train unless you're doing it for the experience. They suggest flying instead as the price is not that much more to fly and it'll be faster.
Haha we're glad to help feed the family! 😂 Yes we just wanted the experience and to see the countryside. We've taken a couple trains since and a few flights to get around.
You guys rock with being so positive. The "train bug" would be a no deal for me. The train's definitely the top choice for the scenery of the daily life for long travel. Thanks for posting. Heading to VN in a month, your video helps.
Yes if you can get past being a tad uncomfortable on the trains then they are totally worth it! We're so excited for you! We just wrapped writing 20 pieces of content on our website for Vietnam, including 2 and 3 week itineraries. We will be releasing a 130+ page ebook at the end of next week, also. If you need more help planning your trip definitely check it out! adventuresofaplusk.com/vietnam adventuresofaplusk.com/shop
Kudo to both of you and the clip! Thanks for coming to visit our beautiful country and wish you the best trip ahead. I am sure that tones of interesting things would wait for u later on!🤘✋👍
It seems awkward falling asleep in a strange place, then see a cockroach. Good thing you had snacks. That was nice they brought you meals. Looking forward to your next video. Have a good week!
You guys do an awesome job with your videos and we love following your adventures. We are retired full timers and we have followed a few of your ideas the #1 being looking for local good coffee shops on our travels. God Bless you guys. Keep up the good work❤❤
Yikes a roach ... roaches can sneak into bags ... in my Boston trip, I had a mouse ... awesome video. I did the reverse trip from Hanoi to Da Nang. The Grab driver told me if I cancelled the booking and paid cash, he would discount my trip and always beat app prices. In Hoi An, try the Banh mi that Anthony Bourdain ate at! Yummy!
We're glad none have joined us since...that we know of! What a deal! We haven't had that happen yet We did try some bahn mis in Hoi An and you can't go wrong!
Loving the content and so happy to see you guys in Vietnam. Transportation in Vietnam is one thing I have not try to tackle on my own, so thank you for sharing your experience. If you get the chance have banh canh in Hoi An - it’s my favorite meal from Vietnam.
We had fun experiencing the train and have taken a couple since and they have been great. We're loving it here! We didn't try banh canh in Hoi An, but did try some other local specialties! We'll see if we can find that somewhere else on our journey! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Hi A+K, This is Xia and Lou, back in Fresno, CA. It was a one in a trillion chance that we met you in Ninh Binh, at the granduer boat tour, on the other side of the planet! My video caught the scene of my wife Lou excitedly yelling her greetings to you at the shore! My sister in law didn't understand Lou's excitement, and thought Lou had seen a king or something. We were excitedly suprised to see you, greet you, hugs, take pictures and videos together. We also have a parting video of both of you riding your boat along ours. We will always cherrish Ninh Binh's beauty, serenity, grandeur, and your friendship souvenir...
Hey!! How wild was that!? It was so nice meeting you guys in such a special place! We're so glad you spotted us and we were able to chat for a bit! Glad to hear you made it home safely!
It looks fantastic! I've only been on one train, the narrow gauge in Durango, and it went on for entirely too long. 17 hours would drive me nuts! But it's better than a plane, and probably much simpler than renting a car and driving across the country (though if you had no time restrictions that would be amazing). I don't know that I'll ever go out to SE Asia, though I've been told to visit the Philippines since that's where some of my family is from. I'm enjoying vicariously traveling through you though!
The Durango Train was such a train ride, but maybe not for 17 hours! We wanted to do it for the experience and it was worth it! Flying is definitely faster and cheap It's been awesome here! The Philippines are on our list for a future trip. Heard lots of good things about it
Congrats on making y’all’s Asian trip come true. Experiencing other cultures is very exciting especially in Asia. I’ve been to the Philippines and experiencing their big cities and extremely rural country sides was amazing. I’m truly looking forward towards your other Asian countries. Stay safe stay healthy
Have a great adventure U2. I used to live in the south VN countryside, I have not been back since 1981. I can’t wait to see the rest of your adventure in VN. Stay safe
Hi great video! Can you tell me which train has the two berth cabins...? I'm planning a trip from HCM city to Da Nang but can only find the 4 berth cabins online... Thank you!
17 Hour Train Ride YUK. Thought there was a 12 hour direct bus other TH-camrs have taken. Congrats on getting your train tickets. Smelling the pillow sheets. It’s a train, you should expect bugs. Guess you did not check prices in advance [ like most ] Welcome to Hoi An home of the Outstanding Lantern Festival. Absolutely Loved Every Minute
We knew the price (we bought several weeks in advance) and we knew what we were getting into. It was a fun, beautiful experience and we're glad we did it!
Hi Guys, Magic !!! video well done. we thought about your option to see the countryside etc but we booked with Veitnam airlines at £120 pounds for two plus luggage in June. Enjoy your travels. Thanks for your efforts and information. Regards John
Flying is definitely faster and about the same price, maybe even cheaper, but we enjoyed seeing the countryside and wanted to experience the Vietnamese train. We’ve taken a couple more trains and planes since and both are great. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Currently in Vietnam, people mainly use personal cars or coach bus when traveling long distances. Trains are no longer a popular means of transportation, but because of safety, many people still choose them
Love the travel day vids! I live the train experiences. I took a train from Frankfurt to Munich along time ago, and that is still one of my favorite travel days. Some thug about trains and seeing the rural country life, like you said. Glad you got that meal even if you spilled a a bit. 😂
Hi, nice to meet you! I took the train from HCM to Hanoi, just over a month ago [early AM]. Probably too late now, but just behind that escalator in Saigon Station is a ticket booth, ....with a lady who speaks fluent English....she could have helped you with your already booked tickets!
Groovy, Do you remember if they have private single cabins. Anyway, I did an othernite 12hour train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and LOVE it. I hope you enjoy HoiAn. I loved that unique and beautiful town.
I don’t think they have any private single cabins. That train ride sounds awesome! We’ll have to do that sometime! Hoi An was spectacular! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I caught the vietnam travel bug last year hosted by one pack wanderer and went for a 10 days trip. This year I guess I caught it again viewing yours. Will be heading in July, thanks to you both, are a natural.
@@AdventuresofAplusK yeah, made an extensive note from your vietnam trip series, can't wait for vietnam 2.0. You guys stay safe too, be good, good health and GOD bless. Cheers! Love from Singapore.
Yeah, I had to change motels because I saw a roach, of all places, on my pillow. Didn't want to take any along with me or wake one in my mouth for breakfast. Thanks for your video!
1. Please try our couple bed on a bus for another transportation option. 2. Sry our trains still need to improve a lot compare to the West. They must offer great service and hospitality with the 2 beds option cause you paid 189$ OMGGGG (Vietnamese rarely use this option). The lunch missing for miscommunication is unacceptable! However, things sorted out. Hopefully you had some weird and fun experience. Enjoy your stay and truly appreciated for visiting VN! Have fun and stay safe!
You'll probably see lots of roaches before you come back to the states! lol Glad you were able to bounce back from that and enjoy and realize that's just part of the adventure. What a beautiful country!
I've heard things about this train and more often than not, it's not been great. I KNEW you guys were going to say you saw a cockroach before you said it... and I couldn't help but giggle over Kathryn jumping at the slightest noise thereafter. I know a lot of people take their own sheets... not that it would have helped with the cockroach. 12goAsia are amazing aren't they? We had no way to pre-book the overnight sleeper train from Bangkok to the Laos border but they made booking through them and guaranteeing us a bed for the night a breeze. I didn't know it was possible to get a cabin with just 2 beds in it so this was very helpful to learn! Was it possible to fold away the beds to make seats for the day time or you have to keep the beds the way you had them in the video? On the last overnight sleeper train I took, they'd wrenched out all of the original train furniture and just put in 2 metal bunk beds that you'd find in a hostel dorm. I was so tired boarding the train around midnight I didn't realise until the next morning. Having had time to digest it - would you still recommend the train over flying?
Most Vietnamese people say don't take the train as they are not well maintained (flying is faster and often quite cheap). But many vloggers do it for the experience. So it depends on if you're doing it for the experience or not.
It was an interesting experience! The views out the window made up for any negative! We almost brought a sleeping bag liner for our trip, but decided against it at the last minute because of space and weight. 12goAsia was great! Very easy to use. No the beds were fixed as far as we know. We just sat on them during the day. We've taken a couple shorter trains since and they've gone smoothly. We wanted to do the train ride for the experience. We wouldn't do another overnight one in Vietnam just because flying is so much faster, easier and about the same price
thanks guys, really enjoyed, and good catch on the meal at the end lol. I did think we could get off at Hoi An but watching this now thinking I might have been wrong. Can you confirm? .... and here's mty thanks back to you for this info - a travel tension free energy release that you might like for future trip ( and future cockroaches lol ). Looking forward to my of you Vietnam videos. Cheers Nette th-cam.com/video/iQ4TP5VwMQQ/w-d-xo.html
I spent a very interesting year in Viet Nam 52 years ago wearing jungle fatigues. The cities have really changed. The biggest buildings back then were the old French ones. The railroad generally wasn't running then because the VC and NVA would blow up bridges. The country side looks much the same. One good memory is bahn mi sandwiches in Hoi An from street vendors. The old part of Hoi An is very cool. There is an excellent museum in Da Nang of Cham (Champa) culture. If you can see it do so. IIRC it is between the downtown area and the air port and a block or two west of the river. The people back then were very friendly (except for the ones trying to kill me). The Da Nang area is lovely. There are some really pretty areas in the highlands. I had a very different experience in Viet Nam than a lot of GIs. The first half or my tour I was out in the bush as an Infantry Platoon Leader playing hide and seek with people who were trying to kill me and vice versa. The 2d half of my tour I was a Civil Affairs Officer in the Da Nang area which meant I was working with Vietnamese civilians doing disaster relief and things like taking medical teams out to remote hamlets. The 2d half was much more rewarding.
First off, thank you for your service. We've had a great experience in the country. Everyone has been really friendly and it's a gorgeous country. The food has been amazing as well!
Wow that train needs some serious cleaning. But it still looked like a fun experience! Riding a sleeper train is on my bucketlist, but a higher quality, cleaner one in Japan I hope lol. I thought during the roach segment y'all found a bedbug! My biggest fear when traveling
thank you for pick viet nam is your travel destination, I will be there in May 17 on my vacation. This is my first vacation after Covid 19. i will travel to Ninh Binh the place call TRANG AN. this place will not disappoint you guys for sure. for now welcome to vietnam. thank you for share your posted.
Oh no, if you see one cockroach there's definitely a full on colony somewhere nearby 😬. I would've had to sleep with lights on, doesn't keep them all at bay but cuts down the amount that may come out usually 😬 ahhh I hate it 😂. Ya'll are brave to have that coffee after seeing bugs, but to be honest I get it I have to have coffee so I probably would've got some too! That meat cabbage and rice looks so good, I'm so glad you guys didn't miss out after all of that. I'm assuming Grab is like Uber/Lyft. Thank you guys for another great video!! Sending much love to you guys!
haha we did see a few more, but nothing too bad! The colony stayed hidden away thankfully! Yes Grab is an Uber/Lyft equivalent Thank you and thanks for watching! ❤
The train is always a good idea....even when it isn't. LOL It goes places you probably never would have...and you don't have to drive. Nice save at the end Kathryn! How freaky was the "currency amounts" there in Vietnam? 300,000!!! And you find out it's $13. LOL So this roommate you guys had on the train....was it a Texas sized one? Haha.
The views from the train made up for any unwelcome friends and lack of sleep! We're still getting used to large numbers for such small amounts! The roommate was actually a Rhode Island size, very small, but any size is too big!
Eeeek…a cockroach! At least it didn’t make its way to your mouths while you were sleeping! I know someone that happened to in their own house! 😳🤮 But seriously, this was a great video! We were laughing after that outtake with the food…Dad was really laughing! The scenery was gorgeous and your attitudes were great! Glad you got to experience this! Keep traveling safe!
First train roach! Welcome to SE Asia! 😂 Wait until you run into the FREAKIN' GIGANTIC flying ones. Had one of those bad boys make its way into our apartment when we lived in Malaysia. On the 7th FLOOR. 🪳 That train still looked a lot better than any transportation we took while living in Vietnam. Wait until you take a sleeper bus! 😅
We don't have any plans for a sleeper bus on this trip. We've taken a few trains since and they've gone much better! We may have made a big deal of it in the video, but it wasn't all that bad. You can find bugs anywhere! Surprisingly we haven't seen thaaaat many bugs or even rats here!

We love that perspective and we try to live by that too!
Agree! when I travel I don't whine and cry about a cockroach like a baby🤣
It is wonderful to see the vibrant colors and textures of Vietnam, again. I was there in 1969 -1970 at a very sad time in the history of Vietnam.
you need to go back to erase the bad memory sir.
Just a traveling tip, if a ticket (or sign or receipt or anything written out) is a language you can’t read, use the camera icon in google translate. It works on a LOT of things; I’ve even seen it work on handwriting if it’s clear enough.

100% agree from Australia. Sounded like a couple of whimps. Eeew, the cockroach....pffft, give me a break.

Hội An is my favorite city in Việt Nam. I will probably spend a whole month there next time I come back to Vietnam 👍
We could have spent a lot more time there as well! It is beautiful and relaxing!

You guys are cool. I've lived in Vietnam almost 20 years and you have the right attitude for survival in this intense, crazy country.
Oh gosh the train situation would've made me cry. Love that you stayed so positive!!
Haha it was an experience that's for sure!

Yes we just wanted the experience and to see the countryside.

Kudo to both of you and the clip! Thanks for coming to visit our beautiful country and wish you the best trip ahead. I am sure that tones of interesting things would wait for u later on!🤘✋👍
Thank you! ❤️
If we could we would ride every train in the world! Thanks for taking us along on this journey. Looks amazing.
We love traveling by train as well!
That was one heck of a ride! Lol I’m so glad that you got to enjoy the views & got to eat some lunch! 💖🙌🏽 Everything worked out in the end. 😃
It turned out to be a fun ride! The scenery made up for any bug and lack of sleep!
It seems awkward falling asleep in a strange place, then see a cockroach. Good thing you had snacks. That was nice they brought you meals. Looking forward to your next video. Have a good week!
Exactly! Luckily the scenery made up for it all! Thanks for watching! You too!
Lovely FIRST CLASS overnight TRAIN
You guys do an awesome job with your videos and we love following your adventures. We are retired full timers and we have followed a few of your ideas the #1 being looking for local good coffee shops on our travels. God Bless you guys. Keep up the good work❤❤
Coffee shops are one of the top things we're always looking for! We're glad we can be a resource! Thanks and thanks for watching! ❤
I just discovered your channel and loving all of your videos!
We haven't had that happen yet
We did try some bahn mis in Hoi An and you can't go wrong!
Wow what an adventure for sure! Looking forward to the next video in Hoi An!
It was a fun adventure! Hoi An was so beautiful!
Hi A+K,
This is Xia and Lou, back in Fresno, CA.
Loving the Viet Nam tour 🙌🏼
Thank you!
U guys are awesome! Always staying positive! Thanks again for sharing 😊
You take the ups with the downs! It's all part of traveling! ❤
You guys are so much fun!
We totally love traveling by Train but we have never tried Vietnam one. 🙏 Thank you for making this nice video 🙂 Have a nice day 🍒🍒🍒
It looks fantastic!
Flying is definitely faster and cheap
It's been awesome here! The Philippines are on our list for a future trip. Heard lots of good things about it
It was just a cockroach. Pull yourself together man!!
Stay safe
We're having a blast and are very excited to share these upcoming videos! Vietnam is amazing! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
You too are such a nice couple. Hope you enjoyed your time in our country.
We have a had a fantastic time! Thanks and thanks for watching!
The train ride was quite the adventure! Can't wait for your next video!
Trains are no longer a popular means of transportation, but because of safety, many people still choose them
Yeah we wanted to ride the train for the experience
Vietnamese are the nicest people.
Vietnam is a lovely country, full of lovely people!
It looks beautiful. Oh boy..... I'm ready for your adventures. 🥰🐕🇺🇸
The views from the train made up for the interesting ride! We're so excited to share these upcoming videos!
It is AMAZING to watching your video in my beautiful country!
Thanks for watching!
You guys did an excellent job on film editing. Keep it up!
Love the travel day vids! I live the train experiences. I took a train from Frankfurt to Munich along time ago, and that is still one of my favorite travel days. Some thug about trains and seeing the rural country life, like you said. Glad you got that meal even if you spilled a a bit. 😂
Yes the views made up for everything! It was a beautiful ride!
Hi, nice to meet you! I took the train from HCM to Hanoi, just over a month ago [early AM]. Probably too late now, but just behind that escalator in Saigon Station is a ticket booth, ....with a lady who speaks fluent English....she could have helped you with your already booked tickets!
Oh good to know! Thanks and thanks for watching!
What an adventure glad you too had fun ❤
Damn you two are living the life! I found your channel when looking for thing to do in Oregon, and now watching you in Vietnam!
Thank you so much, Kim!
Loved the video and we are thinking of doing the trip in October, but I can't seem t find the 2 berth sleeper option. Where did you book?
Groovy, Do you remember if they have private single cabins. Anyway, I did an othernite 12hour train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and LOVE it. I hope you enjoy HoiAn. I loved that unique and beautiful town.
I don’t think they have any private single cabins. That train ride sounds awesome! We’ll have to do that sometime! Hoi An was spectacular! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Seems like a great and wonderful experience.
I used to travel the US by train a lot in the ‘50’s and early ‘60’s. Never could sleep on the dang things!
It was tough getting sleep, but a fun experience overall
The dragon bridge is so cool, it spews fire and water
That would have been cool to see!
I caught the vietnam travel bug last year hosted by one pack wanderer and went for a 10 days trip.
This year I guess I caught it again viewing yours. Will be heading in July, thanks to you both, are a natural.
That's so awesome to hear! Vietnam is so amazing! We hope you have another fantastic trip!
Whoa no thank you! Luckily we haven't seen thaaat many since being here! Thanks for watching, Bert!
Mình rất vui vì nhiều bạn đến Việt Nam du lịch và thưởng thức nhiều món ăn của của Việt Nam chúng tôi
You can always ask anybody there. We’d love to help foreigners
From Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang City is quite far, about 960 km
Hi. Yr quality video is perfect. So, I want to know which camera u use for yr video. Tnks for sharing.
Hello! We link to our gear in the description. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Looks nice 😀😁😄
You'll probably see lots of roaches before you come back to the states! lol Glad you were able to bounce back from that and enjoy and realize that's just part of the adventure. What a beautiful country!
It's definitely part of it! Thankfully we haven't seen thaaaat many bugs indoors so far!
@@AdventuresofAplusK lol
Super fast catch at the end LOL… Enjoy VietNam guys, my home country.
Kathryn had to double check that she couldn't shoot web from her wrists after that! 😂
🕷👩
The private cabin really is worth the extra money! The only downside is that you don’t get to meet and share food with the lovely locals 🇻🇳
True. It would have been nice to meet some people. Just about every local we met in Vietnam was so kind and welcoming
Cute couples! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Loved our trip to Vietnam
Wow that train needs some serious cleaning. But it still looked like a fun experience! Riding a sleeper train is on my bucketlist, but a higher quality, cleaner one in Japan I hope lol.
I thought during the roach segment y'all found a bedbug! My biggest fear when traveling
What a "cop out" I did that trip in 2001 ,, 1920's train ,, the REAL Vietnam :)
You guys are awesome. Thank you for sharing
❤❤
thank you for pick viet nam is your travel destination, I will be there in May 17 on my vacation. This is my first vacation after Covid 19. i will travel to Ninh Binh the place call TRANG AN. this place will not disappoint you guys for sure. for now welcome to vietnam. thank you for share your posted.
Ninh Binh is amazing! We posted a video of our time there. Spectacular! We hope you have a great trip
Great video my friend
Oh ho ho :)) cant wait til the part in Phong Nha
Wahoo! Stay tuned!
Yes Grab is an Uber/Lyft equivalent
Thank you and thanks for watching! ❤
Dude you're lucky it was just a tiny little cockroach and not one of the giant flying kind we get down in Florida! Those are terrifying!
We were thankful it was just a little guy and he disappeared quickly! The views made up for any negative though!
This video confirms our decision to fly instead when we travel there in June!
It may not be for everyone, but we're really glad we got the experience
The train is always a good idea....even when it isn't. LOL It goes places you probably never would have...and you don't have to drive. Nice save at the end Kathryn!
How freaky was the "currency amounts" there in Vietnam? 300,000!!! And you find out it's $13. LOL
So this roommate you guys had on the train....was it a Texas sized one? Haha.
The views from the train made up for any unwelcome friends and lack of sleep!
We're still getting used to large numbers for such small amounts!
The roommate was actually a Rhode Island size, very small, but any size is too big!
Why would someone decide to take an overnight train vs taking a flight? It seems like the flights are relatively cheap from Ho Chi Minh?
We wanted the experience of riding the overnight train. It might not be for everyone but we wanted to see what it was like 😊
Eeeek…a cockroach!
Yiiiiikes! We made some roaches happy I'm sure with the food spill 😂
The views out the window made up for any unwelcome roommates and lack of sleep!
Really enjoying your episodes on Viet Nam.
First train roach! Welcome to SE Asia! 😂
Wait until you run into the FREAKIN' GIGANTIC flying ones. Had one of those bad boys make its way into our apartment when we lived in Malaysia. On the 7th FLOOR. 🪳
That train still looked a lot better than any transportation we took while living in Vietnam. Wait until you take a sleeper bus! 😅
The VIP sleeper buses are actually super duper nice in Vietnam (check out the one "2Passport 1Dream" took last year.
Nice trips, I wish I could have the opportunity to travel to vietnam someday.
Vietnamese services is just like 'hate me, love me, hate me again, oh no love me' haha
RIP to the cabage on the floor! This was a great video hope you guys are doing well.
haha it went to a good roach family I'm sure! Thanks for watching!
