The flying shoes are with Grover! Since the Medusa episode. Also, about the gold touch, you're thinking of King Midas! Rumpel isn't a greek myth, it's more of an european folklore thing Great reaction! 😊
Yes, and Percy shouldn't go too much in the air because of Zeus who could kill him. (Planes, magic shoes = bad ideas) He gave the shoes to Grover who has no magical item.
Yeah, we REALLY don't want those shoes with Percy since it would be VERY BAD for Percy to have them for a number of reasons!!! And King Midas actually DOES appear in The Lost Hero to be fair, but that's like 5 books from now.
Basically, the throne was devised by Hephaestus as a ploy to trap his mom, Hera. Since the gods can't die, that is basically all he could do to her (she's very cruel, especially to him). I don't know why Percy is sitting on the throne, as I don't remember that happening in the book, but we'll just have to wait and see I guess. edit: in the book the chimera is a chihuahua when not a full-on monster.
Grover is still wearing the shoes! Percy can't wear them anyway. Since they're flying shoes, using them would put him in Zeus' domain, who might kill him for being a forbidden child. So Grover will keep wearing them.
Oh that's BARELY anything believe me. For what it's worth though, parts of that prophecy aren't nearly as dire as they seem: Percy not saving what matters most for example. While that does refer to Sally, it doesn't mean that she doesn't make it or even anything terrible. Percy simply ends up with a choice where he could save her, or let Sally find the courage to save herself as she wanted so he left Sally's fate in the right hands: her own. A week later, he found out the very satisfying results of that choice.

That's right thanks!
@@ErmacOfOutworld yeah, but OUAT really does mix everything in one place. PJO is focused on greek and roman mythology only :)

It's not his mom in the water. It's a Nereid (sp?), basically a water nymph sent from his dad. (The subtitles say this if you have them on.)
Yeah that's true. That just confused him in the book version before the Nereid clarified things.
@@WarGrowlmon18 Yep, good point.

Also, the shoes are intended to kill him anyways.

it’s not called the fog it’s the mist :) also they explained why Percy can’t use the flying shoes.
Percy can’t use the shoes, unless he wants to give Zeus an easy target. I didn’t know the Arch was quake-proof.
Great reaction !
