7:30 Fun fact about the scenes where Percy looks very pale: Walker Scobell said in an interview that they used to put make-up on his face because his complexion is so white that he would reflect the lights... Except in this scene. No make-up, except the redness around his eyes 😂
FWIW, that’s showbiz in general. Almost everyone on camera has hair and makeup done beforehand due to the lighting making you look incredibly pale otherwise 😅

the best episode but the shortest! athena punishing annabeth for something PERCY did was an amazing parallel to athena punishing medusa for something POSEIDON did. love the father, son and daughter, mother parallel!
To me, the very image of someone falling from a height like that is chilling, even with what I know happens in the book. You'd have plenty of time to know you're about the die and be frightened, and know there's nothing you or anyone can do. Poor Percy.
I remember hearing people say that when you fall from a very high place you tend to die during the fall, because your heart can't take the situation and stops mid-fall

I like how they made Percy doubt his father's care until now and then suddenly Poseidon shows that he does care, that he just couldn't interfere so far, but he still saved his life (and didn't turn him into a tree... 😅)
I love love love all the updates they're making to the story as they go. The pool flashback, the extra little Percabeth scenes, Percy's self-sacrifice at the end.....they add so much emotion to the story. The book series was already a modern classic. I can't believe they keep finding ways to elevate it more
I’m ngl, when I watched this and the cop had an attitude towards Annabeth, my mind went to the possibility of it being racism, mostly because Percy was giving attitude the whole time and the cop said nothing, but when Annabeth asked a legit question, the cop got all heated. Loving the Percabeth drops. I didn’t think they would since it’s so early on and, ya know, they’re kids. But they’re doing it really well so far. It feels very natural.
I absolutely loved this episode. I really liked how they added the centaurs and Percy notices them when they’re on the Amtrak. It’s also in the book. The only difference is that the youngest centaur waved at Percy but I still loved that they included it. It was still very close. I also really liked how we got some more Percabeth scenes. They were all good. My favorite Percabeth scene was Percy pushing Annabeth back so he can fight the Chimera. It showed a bit of Percy’s fatal flaw which is excessive personal loyalty and it was such a good thing to add for that scene. I can’t wait to see episode 5. It’s another episode I’ve been waiting to see especially the Tunnel of Love. Another amazing episode! 😊🤩
This episode was amazing as it was funny and interesting and the cliffhanger definitely had me on the edge of my seat! And my new years was amazing as always like it is kind of every year! 😂 and I’m glad you got out your outfit is such a slay in this video and I would love to see you wear it more AND I DO NOT HAVE THE PATIENCE to wait another week for an episode to come out because their so good and I kind of just wanna binge watch it and get it over with 😂❤
I am always surprised that Echidna didn't play a bigger role in the series. She's the consort of Typhon who of course appears at the end of this series of books and who is so powerful the Olympian gods themselves faced him in battle rather than leaving him to their children (no other foe in any Riordan novel was battled in such a way, not even Gaea or Tartarus). I don't think Echidna appears again until The Sun and Star
Probably already said, but just wanted to point out that when venom(yes, it is venom and not poison) is injected into body, (possibly myotoxin, which is used by some snakes and lizards to prevent prey from escaping by causing paralyses and also act very quickly), it is hard to use upper body strength. Just some nerd stuff.
