They started developing the game during the PS4s lifespan, now they have the PS5 and the PS5 Pro, they have the Xbox, the game is apparently coming to PC too, its complicated. Video games are incredibly complex nowadays. You adjust passing physics slightly and suddenly you have to rebalance the entire game again. Best review I've seen so far! But the passing looks too easy and ping pong like! Passing needs to be responsive yes, but it should only be accurate when you have the right momentum and body position! Another point you missed is the op corners! But at least theres potential with this...maybe in a year or two!
This is very impressive my only concern is in the long run the reputation system may lead to “stagnant waters” with many players with high rep getting many of the op players and new players unable to acquire them.
People forget how abysmal eFootball was when it first released. UFL is off to a solid start, the gameplays improved a lot in the short time since the open betas so if they keep improving it could become a very solid game.
For anyone who want to experience realistic and responsive gameplay just go play Pes 17. Still waiting for a football game with a better gameplay than Pes 17 smh.
With the latest update that came out recently, efootball has made significant improvements in terms of gameplay. Still, in my opinion, the most realistic, authentic, football gameplay.
This is a cool concept and a free substitution for EA FC. My thoughts aside, it's good that a company decided to make a free football game that is actually playable, unlike the greed EA Sports possesses. This way everyone can have a great football gaming experience because not everyone is privileged enough to spend loads on a video game every year. Perhaps if it sees itself through and upgrades its elements all of us will be willing to switch. Great concept!!
So teams keep shape defensively, the passing is good, different types of shots, headers, duels. It's a great start and from watching, it seems the GKs aren't great since they are of a lower level. I'm intrigued to see if it is the same with better players considering on EA, doesn't matter if GKs are 90+ rated, they're still really silly. Let's give this game some time, more updates will come and hopefully it will be a success. I'm getting the game tomorrow for sure
The crossing issue is in every football game. It’s broken. That’s because they have no proper randomizer going on. I think for any football game. There should be a small randomiser where the ball goes when passed. It could be either a little bit behind the player, in front. Maybe little to the right or left. And as soon as the pass has been hit, there’s no automatisation. You need to use the player you’ve chosen to get the ball or time it, and to controll the ball you need a o properly use your right stick. If pushed to much you’ll loose the control of the ball. If to little you slow it down to much. Football games have to much automatic stuff happening. When it gets more “manual” where you truly feel you need skills, that’s when they will shine through. Take fps games on pc as an example. You need to aim, and if someone is better then you, you’ll loose most of the time.
@ I have, I’ve played EAFC too. And you know for a fact that when crossing it lands on your player perfectly. If you tell me otherwise, then you’re the one who haven’t played it. Try crossing with your players back against the player you want to hit it too. The impossible becomes possible. The entire game is to automatic when it comes to passing or crossing. Calling it ridiculous won’t make it less true.
What I do not understand is that a new player had in his stats: zero games, zero win, zero draw, zero loss. I saw that he had the complete PSV Eindhoven team from the present. Did he buy this team with credits that he bought with dollars or euros? I easily beat that guy with 7-0 because it was his first game. But did he got a good team just by buying?
Already looks great! really hope they consider adding a mode similar to career mode/master league with worldwide domestic leagues (leagues/clubs from all continents)/continental club + national team tournaments(champions league, copa libertadores, afc champions league, euro cup, copa america, etc)/international club + national team tournaments (club world cup, world cup) even if its without licenses for most lagues/teams, but then allow the community to edit these teams/leagues (ability to import images for crests, kits, etc) and then upload their creations for others to download, this would be amazingly fun and could provide a very realistic career mode fueled by community creations, and this could obviously be an additional paid mode which would do very well with many players willing to pay for! Not all footy gamers like "ultimate team" like modes, the og's love playing offline career mode and master league!!! Please make it happen eventually UFL!
I think you missed to mention something very important. The game does NOT feel scripted. Which makes its strong aspects stand out even more. That said, they still have a lot of refining to do.
i don't understand why UFL went down the FIFA game play route, we're screaming out for a true simulation a kin to what PES 19-21 was. Hoping 2k go down this route going forward
I'm so sick of the crappy Ultimate Team modes that every game focuses on these days. This just looks like everything bad from both FIFA and PES rolled into one game.
@@Cluxiupes is nice gameplay wise but i only like career mode and no generated AI players kills it for me im not tryna play with 16 year old ibrahimovic

Haven’t played the betas. Is the dribbling bad, or is it just something that will take time to get used to? I would like it, if it is isn’t as silky as ea.
why do developers hate career mode type games?.... if they want to compete with "fifars" they need a better career mode and more national teams ffs... there's no point to this game, ultimate team is already there
If they smooth out the gameplay a little bit more and improve at accuracy of where I wanted the pass to go then the game will be good. ATM it’s still incomplete and hopefully they will bring out a draft mode.
I’d give it another year to get better and this is significantly better than the beta version. If they keep making improvements it’s ggs if ea doesn’t get their shit together

I miss the days of the old Konami PES games without any monetization. You can play single games, various tournaments with clubs or national teams and have some challenging practice modes. This game looks like a shop for various nonsense with a side mode to play some fake football. Same goes today for Fifa and eFootbal.
What we need to understand is that we have to accept the flaws in this game and support them for 2/3 years so they can bring masterpieces im so done with ea so they get my full support until they get they master their craft and we have an alternative to ea
Its a great thing, great to have new football game. It will get better for sure. But one thing baffles me, how the hell ufl can make lag free online matches vs super laggy connection on online efootball matches? 😮😮
I am enjoying it, even if it has a lot of bugs. This game really proves if you are good or not because there's not a CPU helping you while playing. Probably the most entertaining things are the defense and the shots (some are incredible). P.s. I've been playing fifa and pes since 2004..
The one thing that looks instantly better than fifa is the running animations... Why there is no ice skating and ea tells us its not possible to get rid of it...
Am not paying full price only for some menu changes and roster updates, I will be playing this even if its not as good, am sure it will be better if it got support
Its awfull . Deleted it in 6h. Can’t believe people are so desperate to say this is good . Gameplay it’s terrible . Robotic passes, animations are terrible. I’m not eafc fan, but this is just awfull
Totally agree with you mate. I can't believe people are saying it's responsive when input delay is present in nearly ever match. It seem those saying it's so good came from recent fifa and are just fed up of being screwed over by dynamic difficulty. I hope UFL steals players from EA but the gameplay is 2/10 at launch.
Why would you pay for early access if you were unsure of the game? Seems a bit of a strange thing to do, especially as there was open betas so everyone could try the game completely for free in the spring and summer just gone. You literally could play it in 4 days without paying a single penny too.
You can't really compare a game made by a new studio with limited budget against a game series that has been around for what it feels forever with basically unlimited funding from a AAA game studio.
Well in reality the shots from that distance, the keeper will have no chance 8 out of 10, so seems pretty accurate. But let's see, updates will come for sure :D
I used to work for EA and I remember gamers frustration back in the day and what a cash grab was that garbage ass Ultimate team BS. I am glad we got UFL and I hope the developers will care for the gamers and don't turn this into a Loot pack clownfest.
PES 21 was so good for that, it’s such a shame Konami just does not add it even though they have promised it. That alone will make me never play their games. You promise something, you add it. If not, why even promise it?
i would say,, lets give some more time to the game , its is a worthy competitor to FC25 and EA, this game is unpolished no doubt but huge potential , i hope it improves by time , for EA, i have lost all hopes

Best review I've seen so far! But the passing looks too easy and ping pong like! Passing needs to be responsive yes, but it should only be accurate when you have the right momentum and body position!
Another point you missed is the op corners!
But at least theres potential with this...maybe in a year or two!
This is hw all these other games started…they need more time
I own every FIFA but i still play FIFA 17, UFL seems to move to right direction regarding to GP
The fact that this is pretty close to fifa/fc after 1st try and they have been around for decades shows that EA have been absolutely mugging us
and is a smaller team as well
And they worked on this game for almost a decade?
Anything else? 🎤🗑
This is their first time and for their first time , its really good
You can't compare this to ea , a game that has been made for 20 plus years
This is very impressive my only concern is in the long run the reputation system may lead to “stagnant waters” with many players with high rep getting many of the op players and new players unable to acquire them.
the gameplay is too arcady bro💀, i dont want that fifa type of gameplay no more 😂
Then don't play
Stick to fc 25
@curator7040 i dont play fc anymore, i moved to efootball that turns out got much better gameplay than fc, and its free.
@@shaibah14 good for you mate
I wiill also stick to UFL
I played fc 24 and it was horrible
I think he hates EAFC just as much, he prefers eFootball.
People forget how abysmal eFootball was when it first released. UFL is off to a solid start, the gameplays improved a lot in the short time since the open betas so if they keep improving it could become a very solid game.
If ufl doesn't have licensed teams, they should have the option to create completely custom teams, totally customisable name, emblem & kits.
🙌
For anyone who want to experience realistic and responsive gameplay just go play Pes 17.
Still waiting for a football game with a better gameplay than Pes 17 smh.
Nah go play Football Life 25
@@narrow3601 agree, i played Pes 2017 for years and finally see a better gameplay and especially how the AI works in FL25
Um have you heard of PES21?
PES 2017 isn't as good as PES 18 and 21.
Go play on the field bruh
With the latest update that came out recently, efootball has made significant improvements in terms of gameplay. Still, in my opinion, the most realistic, authentic, football gameplay.
When it will be released to PC platform?
It's a sign of where football gaming is that this video is almost halfway through before it gets to actual football gameplay.
It's good we now have more sports games coming out. If they add a option mode to allow editing of team names. Then yes be good. Gameplay will improve
This is nonsense, have you played a game in the past twenty years???
@ I have, I’ve played EAFC too. And you know for a fact that when crossing it lands on your player perfectly. If you tell me otherwise, then you’re the one who haven’t played it.
Try crossing with your players back against the player you want to hit it too. The impossible becomes possible. The entire game is to automatic when it comes to passing or crossing.
Calling it ridiculous won’t make it less true.
Interested to see how this game get on. I probably won't be playing until there's a serious career mode, though. Time will tell. Best of luck to them.
What I found in the beta is that low rated keeps even 80 rated ones are trash but the 90 rated ones are broken
sound just like the the same issues with fifa/fc games, the input delay, the weird ball control and tackle timing, canned animations and etc...
Yep
Did you even look at this video?
Or play the current fifa?
@@murfish2003 you see any difference to fifa?
Lautaro and Saka being rated 90, just 1 point below Messi and Ronaldo is wild.
But did he got a good team just by buying?
ufl has so much potencial, few patches would make the game even better.I hope that there would not be any hacker in ufl
Pro Clubs 11 vs 11. Won't play it without this.
For sure they need to make that somehow cause they would need no licenses and no football game exploits that area of the market
i don't understand why UFL went down the FIFA game play route, we're screaming out for a true simulation a kin to what PES 19-21 was. Hoping 2k go down this route going forward
I'm so sick of the crappy Ultimate Team modes that every game focuses on these days. This just looks like everything bad from both FIFA and PES rolled into one game.
110%
This game is just another one stupid game
For a Game Football Focusing on PVP Ultimate Team Like Mode, Club License isnt that matters, as long the players are Licensed it's enough i think
It's a sad time to be a football game player..
Its sad because we dont support competition . We hate any football game that comes out and competes with Fifa. We are the problem
if you want the best football game, go play modded pes 2021
well, for about what now? 20 years?
@@Cluxiupes is nice gameplay wise but i only like career mode and no generated AI players kills it for me im not tryna play with 16 year old ibrahimovic
@@alexp_9996 it's modded pes bro, Search on google, Sp Football life 25, it's free. The best version is Evo pes but it's huge like 300gb.
i did quit FIFA about 8 years ago and i never did regret it. UFL is filling the void, it´s good enough and don´t pretend fifa would be high quality without problems lmfao
Idk if I really fancy grinding out another UT type game mode on another game, maybe as the game grows and expands might be worth a look imo!
yeah same, also there is no offline mode so it's just constant online matches which makes it feel even more of a chore
Haven’t played the betas. Is the dribbling bad, or is it just something that will take time to get used to? I would like it, if it is isn’t as silky as ea.
Yet another game without single player content, it's more of a challenge for e football than EAFC.
why do developers hate career mode type games?.... if they want to compete with "fifars" they need a better career mode and more national teams ffs... there's no point to this game, ultimate team is already there
Legends for making it possible, a new competitor
If they smooth out the gameplay a little bit more and improve at accuracy of where I wanted the pass to go then the game will be good. ATM it’s still incomplete and hopefully they will bring out a draft mode.
Not quite there yet. I’ll come back to try it in a couple of years where everything actually improves.
still not better, but def in the right path, and the fact it's gonna be the same game updating over and over makes it a contender for the long run!
I’d give it another year to get better and this is significantly better than the beta version. If they keep making improvements it’s ggs if ea doesn’t get their shit together
it would have been gg for ea if people would get their sh*t together, the quality is horrible
Is a good start. But the simple fact that lacks a career/solo mode is an automatic skip for me.
Just because it is free, doesn't mean people are not allowed to give their honest opinion on a game. We're all here because we are looking for a fresh and much better alternative to zombie FIFA. Unfortunately, this one is far from it.
Stop it with the braindead takes. They have already improved so much between the beta and the release, and they plan on updating the game for years. Its a bmatter of time before they beat EA
@@caralho5237 "Its a matter of time before they beat EA" You just confirmed what I said, that this game is currently worse than EA FC. Where is the braindead take?

I miss the days of the old Konami PES games without any monetization. You can play single games, various tournaments with clubs or national teams and have some challenging practice modes. This game looks like a shop for various nonsense with a side mode to play some fake football. Same goes today for Fifa and eFootbal.
What we need to understand is that we have to accept the flaws in this game and support them for 2/3 years so they can bring masterpieces im so done with ea so they get my full support until they get they master their craft and we have an alternative to ea
The fact is most of us compare this game with FC football and E football But all in all give it a time maybe two years or more and u will see
Its a great thing, great to have new football game. It will get better for sure. But one thing baffles me, how the hell ufl can make lag free online matches vs super laggy connection on online efootball matches? 😮😮
Honestly good first try and at least we're getting something different from EA and Konami, support these guys and help them improve the game
No way they gave Ronaldo a 91 rating 😭😭😭 did he make the a requirement to be an ambassador for the game?
It would be Bad of dribblings would feel incredible with 60+ Ranked Players.
How long are the half's in real time should be the reason why it has issues. Why don't they add simulation matches and quick matches.
There's no ice skating in ea/FIFA either. Get your eyes tested
I really need ufl to fully develop, do extremely well and get the clubs licensing. Im really getting tired of FC’s bullshxt
Good or bad, I’m just glad there’s more competition for Fifa, especially being free instantly creates more competition
EA FAN!!
Ea fc feels robotic too wdym
He doesn't own the game but saying it's awful
Why would you pay for early access if you were unsure of the game? Seems a bit of a strange thing to do, especially as there was open betas so everyone could try the game completely for free in the spring and summer just gone. You literally could play it in 4 days without paying a single penny too.
The RP Mechanic is really clever!
You can't really compare a game made by a new studio with limited budget against a game series that has been around for what it feels forever with basically unlimited funding from a AAA game studio.
i'm annoyed that it's another ultimate team game and doesn't have a career mode(both player and manager) but it still looks alright
Well in reality the shots from that distance, the keeper will have no chance 8 out of 10, so seems pretty accurate. But let's see, updates will come for sure :D
This will be a good start for a very good game in the future
I used to work for EA and I remember gamers frustration back in the day and what a cash grab was that garbage ass Ultimate team BS. I am glad we got UFL and I hope the developers will care for the gamers and don't turn this into a Loot pack clownfest.
Definitely giving up on FC…(FIFA)..going for this one….excellent
Pes was much much better than fifa. Sadly fifa killed them with licenses. I hope this game can survive that
I love how people say it’s “not pay to win” when you can literally spend money to *WIN* 🤦♂️
So is this taking the place of PES/efootball? It looks and plays just like it
I'm an offline career mode only player, hopefully in the future there will be competition for EA on that department
PES 21 was so good for that, it’s such a shame Konami just does not add it even though they have promised it.
That alone will make me never play their games. You promise something, you add it. If not, why even promise it?
Hopefully, they will continue improving, especially in dribbling, but this has good potential, of course, until FIFA2K26 drops.
HAAAAANK!
DON'T ABBREVIATE CREDIT POINTS!
HAAAAANK!
i would say,, lets give some more time to the game , its is a worthy competitor to FC25 and EA, this game is unpolished no doubt but huge potential , i hope it improves by time , for EA, i have lost all hopes
Why can’t someone focus on building the engine primarily, and let others license it and build game modes around it. That model would work wonders
...it wouldn't.
There's no other sports game dev that does anything similar to this.
@ Food for thought. Just because it hasn’t been done, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. One challenge is to build a great engine, but the other and equally important is to build a game around it.
@@Rashesh_Majithia name a company that licenses gameplay engines.
I can only think about RPG maker.
There's straight up no market for what you're proposing lol.
@@necromax13 I’m honestly basing my opinion on what happens in F1. Engine manufacturers and constructors. Imagine someone using the engine to build a super real simulation, someone building an amazing career mode, someone building the architecture for 11v11 type games etc. it’s too much to ask off 1 publisher. Again, just because it hasn’t been done, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Feel free to disagree and move on
@@Rashesh_Majithia complete nonsense you're spewing.
Make a pro clubs mode! But of course, need to tweak some game mechanics first - like goalkeepers, dribbling and tackling.
I prefer playing offline career so I'm not interested yet. The gameplay from the video also looks a bit clunky so I'll probably wait for some updates.
But it looks promising. I want some other game to challenge EA
