Spinda Patterns are determined by their personality values. That personality value, along with your trainer id secret id, also determine if it's shiny. Each time you start the game over you will also change which Spinda patterns can be shiny. However, speed-runners and certain shiny hunters will actively seek out specific trainer and secret ID's in order to manipulate the game to do what they want. Their shiny Spindas have a much greater chance of being the same as another's as a result.
The value that determines Spinda's spots was made seperate from the value that determines Shininess in X and Y. So therefore this kind of situation is true only for Spinda found in older games.

Transfered Pokémon would have their encryption constant set based on their personality value, then the personality value would change if leaving it alone would change the Pokémon's Shininess. Splitting everything also allowed for more attributes of breeding inheritance (with things stacking correctly without affecting Shiny chances), the Ability Capsule to be introduced, and specific Pokémon encounters to be more personalized. And more technically, it's additional data that helps with cloning checks and Pokémon HOME's handling of game-specific data, and allowed for bug fixes for Shininess of traded Eggs and the gender of an evolved Azurill changing.

For those who don't know BR, there's an item in the endless mode with a 50% chance to heal you 2 hitpoints, but the other 50% it damages you for one Every. Single. Time. The Dealer took one? Heal. @@Mrcat1080pnot really, shinyness is based on the PID of the pokemon and your trainer and secret IDs, and the spots are also calculated based on the PID of the pokemon, so if a spinda with a specific spot pattern is shiny all spinda with the same spot pattern will be shiny. Also RNG manipulation exists.
I think this is the only video that I've seen so far that actually explained how the spinda spot system works visually. I knew that it had randomized patterns but I don't see a lot of talk on how those are actually generated on the sprite itself. Thanks.

I don't know if you accept ideas, but that would be really great! I have an idea with a Pokemon that is a mix between a rabbit and a cat and has the tail of a cat and ears of a rabbit. Maybe make it a bit dark? And Ghost type and some rare combination with Ghost would be interesting. And maybe this Pokemon is connected to time like that? And a very great idea, it looks super cute, but can be dangerous! And even though it looks sweet, it's dark. And maybe a little inspired by the bunny from episode 27 of create custom Pokemon for you.
