I think the term you are looking for might be determination and consistency. Obsession itself is really unhealthy and can lead to a burnout any% speedrun. Ive been witnessing that again and again in working environments. Balance is always the key. Surely you could grind 24/7 and focus all of your energy into one thing but it in reality you could set aside some time to still regularly hangout with your friends, enjoy other activities etc. and still have an outcome that is equally as good.
I wish you the best in pursuing your passion but recommend to keep up the friendships with the people you love most

I want to clarify that you are correct regarding determination and consistency being a healthier option as it should be the option people take. When I meant "obsessed" I didn't mean to the point of ruining your life and blocking other responsibilities. I meant it in a way where you should try to invest and prioritize that specific passion and fall in love with the process. I hope that clears things up if anybody also gets confused. Taking breaks is very important and everyone should 100% pace themselves when working on their goals. Great comment!
