We all know 'TV Who' is poor and - as you say - the problem started long before Disney got their grubby mitts on it. The problem is bad writing and I don't think you have any listeners who can't see that. I didn't watch it and don't feel deprived. No room at the inn? Sounds to me like the writers are ignorant of one of the very oldest time-space paradox thought experiments, namely 'The Infinity Hotel'. If you can manipulate time, then you can manipulate space and make the hotel infinitely large. (It's basically a TARDIS for flip's sake!) An interesting property of an infinitely large hotel is that it's never full, even if you have an infinite number of guests. There's always another room beyond the last occupied one. Physicists and cosmologists have been enjoying this paradox fir over a hundred years, yet the writers seem to be ignorant of it. You'd think they'd be employing writers who are capable of basic research. Or - at the very, very least - of making themselves aware of what has gone before in the show they're working on. It's been a feature of the TARDIS since the very first episode for flippin' flip's sake! Harrumph! Humbug! And other disgruntled noises!
