i tend to think that photoshop does require a little bit of additional painting here and there. Even in 2021 the hair refine isn't comparable with Unmesh's.
Many thanks to you. This gentleman should be honored as a true teacher. If anyone has watched his channel without subscribing, that seems unfair. 10 million instead 3million plus
i wanna tell you that i'm a full time Photoshop Instructor at the German University and you always amazes me by your skills and i always learn from you. You are a Photoshop Master!! Thank you for you effort :)
I always enjoy your videos. You immediately get to the point, skip through repetitive actions, and don't go off on tangents. They're clear, concise, direct instructions. They most always show me better ways to do something I thought I already knew how to do.
Dear Unmesh Dinda, you are one of the best unique photoshop tutor. You have not only deep knowledge of photoshop theory but also have practical knowledge. I am very proud of you because you are Indian. Your name will live forever on TH-cam. Love you!
besides plain envy can't find any other reason someone would dislike so amazing content this one single video put to rest many of my nightmares, thank you so much.
Never seen this method before. Most others use select and mask/refine edge tool but it fails with backgrounds like this. Seen hair painting before but they all use solid colour sampling. But having the mask selection INSIDE the hair and painting it back in with the mask looks natural since you're just revealing the true colour underneath the mask! Mind blown! Thanks so much!
This video was beyond useful! The detail, the easy walk-though, the clarity! You do such an awesome job explaining the tools and processes. Also, giving a disclaimer that this is NOT a QUICK FIX! If you want an amazing work of art, it takes time, and I appreciate that. My image looks flawless now!
Begin of the video : "I'll say it now, it's not easy" End of the end : " Here we go, its easyyyyyyyy" :D Discovered your channel recently, thumbs up ! Everything is so clean, and clear ! flawless ! Nice accent btw, its more easier to understand for no native english! imo
That's how I do! There's no easy way when you need a perfect isolated subject! In my way I skip that part of refining the mask and spend the energy directly painting all the hair. I divide in layers for darker colors, highlights and medium hues. So this way I cut completely the interference with the background color and keeping the variety of colors. One thing I will adopt is that brush with a strand of hairs! That will save a lot of time! Great work!
Wow, what would I do without this tutorial! This is truly fantastic. It makes me realise the power of custom brushes. This is the first time I've used custom brushes, and I realise now just what a great effect they can create. Thank you !!!!
I started Photoshop 15 years ago, and about 10 years ago I came upon a TH-cam channel called Phlearn - it's very good. This channel reminds me a lot of Phlearn.
If I could Like this video a hundred times, I would. I just spent about four hours painting hair that I was okay with. I really wish I'd watched this video before that. Now I think I'm going to redo the hair I painted--and do it the right way. :D Thanks for another great tutorial!
just started [a year or so] as a front end web dev and i had to use Photoshop because many clients dont pay for graphic designer unfortunately and i have to say that your tutorials are the most detailed and well executed, i recently was thinking to combine the pen tool and a separate selection for hair mostly using contrast selection [the one with black and white] but it was difficult when the background had same tone with the hair. So that tut came as a gift to me. thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge!
Bravo man. I've done hair masks for years and have done the initial harder starting point to the contour of the head/hair shape and then refined mask with original and new hair BUT your video showed many awesome points along the way. I'll definitely be preparing images better now I have watched this. Cheers
There is no shortcut to mask hair, you have explained it so details. I must say this is at professional level. Thank you for your generosity on sharing this!
Unmesh, thank you so very much for this amazing video - I can't believe its taken me so long to come across it. Your generosity is beyond belief and your presentation style makes it easy to understand and follow. Now for the acid test when I try to emulate your skills. Thanks again.
I watched it once, understood and now mastered it. In my mind I am praising you being so good with the way to teach us. Every explaination is very clear and very sticky.
