José Caballero was a solid addition when wander made us do that. Luke Raley " Big Country" was one of my favorite new players, was sad to see him go.

    Good stuff, guys!
    Cabby 2024 A-
Cabby came over and did exactly what was asked of him. I think he can be a really good 7-9 batter, super utility player.
Walls is signed for $1.1m in 25, so I expect him to get more SS reps than Cabby in 25 but I expect Cabby to play more games and receive more ABs overall.

Think of José Caballero as more of a utility player. He could play a number of different positions, steal bases, but the OBP/BA is not where you would like it to be.

Articles out say Ray's contacted Juan Soto early on. Wouldn't that be interesting, I don't think they could pull that off financially ($700M) and with the hurricane's mess/ stadium. But you never know, Juan might for whatever reason want to be a Ray and sees the next 3-year window potential of the team. And battle the Al east. It said the Redsox are interested along with everyone.

Dream on. Rays will bottom shop like they always do.

@steveanthony5530 the Rays made competitive offers to Judge and Freeman.

Doubt the Rays would spend that kind of $$$ or the Soto camp would have any other reason for the Rays being involved except to hike up the price. Kind of like what Ohtani did with the Blue Jays last winter. Don't think he had any intention of going to Toronto. He just used them in order to get more $$$ from the Dodgers.
