Here was my experience. My wife and I got to the exit on the 10 Freeway East, and traffic was at a standstill. This was around 12:30. It took so long to move, i got out of the car and took a leak in the bushes on the side of the offramp. I started a trend, because other guys did it, too! It took over two hours to get to the gate, park, and get inside. Once inside, things went okay. Typical of a festival, beer and food was expensive. Yep, Pabst was like $16 for a tall 24 ounce can, but a water bottle was cheap, and if you'd brought a plastic one like I did, there were free water stations in a central part of the fairgrounds. I was excited to see The Dead Milkmen, and they delivered. I'd never seen them before, and I'd liked them since "Punk Rock Girl" came out. Also great seeing The Damned. It'd been over twenty years since I'd seen them, but I swear they never age. Great to see Rat Scabies behind the drum kit! Sublime was cool to see with Brad Nowell's son Jakob fronting them. By this time, I was chilling out with my wife on the side bleachers. The band really gave a relaxed vibe. A little surprise was a cover of Bad Religion's "We're Only Gonna Die", and Descendents' "Hope". Certainly appropriate for the day. One thing about the festival, was you had to choose between bands to see. Bad Religion are always good. Greg Graffin's voice is just so soulful and melodic. Then, hands down, I had to see Iggy Pop, and he really was amazing. Pretty much the guy that started punk rock. From then, it was a decision between The Exploited or Social Distortion. Since, I'd seen SD so many times, i wanred to see Exploited one more time, even though I saw them last year, and a few times over the last twenty years. A treat was seeing Fishbone finish up their set with "Party at Ground Zero". Exploited had some technical stuff go on, but lead singer and founding member Wattie brought the energy. His voice had evolved from a Johnny Rotten soundalike on the early singles to a gruff, almost death-metal growl, fitting of the newer, harder material like "Chaos Is My Life". My wife and did catch some Social Distortion, and then it was time to catch The Misfits! I knew the setlist, and we danced to "I Turned Into A Martian" in an area near the back, far from the front, where my brother and my niece nearly got crushed by the crowd. We even sat on the bleachers for the last part of the set. It was awesome hearing the sound reverberate off the metal roof, and hearing thousands of voices shouting, "I Want Your Skull"! After a long search for our car (our fault), it wasn't a long wait until traffic thinned out and we could leave. Overall? A great time was had. I felt like I was part of something historic, a "Punkstock", if you will. This music is quite popular despite not getting radio or MTV play back in its 1980s heyday. Punk is sure not dead, it just has grey hair and was up past its bedtime on June 8, 2024.
Haha I had to piss on the side of the road off the exit too. And like 3 more times because me and my buddy didn't think it would be that bad so we brought beers for the ride that was a mistake haha. You're review is wayyyy better then mine! Im terrible at this. But I definitely agree the line up was amazing, and all the bands I saw delivered. I hope they do improve on somethings. Did you ever go to it's not dead fest? They had 2 of them and they were In San Bernardino I thought those were awesome.
I did go to the It's Not Dead Fest in 2002, headlined by The Sex Pistols. That was a good one. I had lawn tickets and it was just a crazy crowd. Right before Social Distortion went on, this one drunk/high dude decided he would climb one of the towers. It took a while for him to come down, but the band played anyway. He even got acknowledged by Mike Ness. The heat, Blink 182 being practically booed off the stage, along with New Found Glory, were two of my favorite memories of that. The Pistols were okay, but people were leaving just before them, after The Offspring played! It was actually my second time seeing them, having gone to the Hollywood Palladium show in 1996 (absolutely insane yet fun pit). I caught them again in 2003 at the Greek Theater. Don't think they'll ever play again, so I'm glad I saw them.
Oh damn yea I only went to the last 2 two in 2015 and 2017. I thought those were awesome. Saw a ton of killer bands. But that one sounded badass! Haha yea I can see why blink and glory got booed. Love the offspring only caught them once. 🤘
I went to the one in '17 where Dropkick Murphys and Rancid headlined, too. A lot of old school bands there like at No Values, like The Adicts. I was great seeing The Buzzcocks before Pete Shelley passed away. I know they got a new singer, but I don't know who it is.
Yea that was a great show. I'm huge addicts fan so I was stoked to see them there. I'm trying to remember if rancid did an op ivy but I don't think they did haha. I missed the buzzcocks. Always wanted to see them
This was my first festival and was so excited, I got there when the parking lot opened, and I'm glad I did. I saw that parking nightmare coming and told my buddy to head up. Hope it comes back next year (with better logistics organization).
Oh for your first festival it would've been great. And you got there early which was great. I hope you had a blast! I was comming from the perspective of having gone to a ton of festivals. I'm sure they'll address alot of these issues. Thanks for watching cheers!🤘🤘
Sorry to hear about the traffic and parking situation you encountered. BTW the parking lots opened at 8:30am and the box office and merch booth outside the entrance opened at 9am. I arrived a little after 9. I exited Fairplex off I-10 and entered through Gate 17. I had General Parking, but they sent me to Preferred Parking which I didn't know it was Preferred Parking until later. The reason I arrived early was because I wanted to get my merch early. When I went to the Cruel World Festival last month they sold out of my shirt size. So I didn't want that situation to happen again at No Values. Hopefully they improve the traffic issue next year.
Yea I know after I posted the video I looked at the picture and it lots at 830 haha I couldn't change it. But I put it in the description. We wanted to get there earlier but we're exhausted after hitting a show Thursday and Friday. So we were out of it and yea we went the back way hence the reason we got stuck. But the preferred parking situation was a mess I hope they take all this into consideration for next year. Again it's the first year so I wanted to be critical. I've been to much better inaugural fests then this and for a better price is all. Appreciate you watching the video! Cheers!🤘🤘
Sounds like the vip was totally not worth it. Me and my girl had GA and we had a blast. Even with my tour shirt and all the beers I bought, probably still spent less than you. We ubered there and had zero issues. Leaving was super surge pricing so we ubered to the homies house in Pomona and then back to LB and saved about $100
Yea for what it came with it wasn't worth it in my opinion. I've had better vip experiences for less at other fests. But it was nice walking up close to the stages. They addressed the parking issue for next year so that's a plus. Golden voice has definitely heard the complaints and I'm sure next will be a lot smoother. Had a good time though. Surge pricing is always shitty after big shows. Glad you guys had a killer time though! Appreciate you checking out the video cheers!🤘🤘
I was there , Shitty Parking , Bad Stage Layout , Shitty exiting the venue experience , Stands couldnt hear the main stage well , absurdly expensive food 3 chiken tenders and a small fry was 25 bucks . A shot of tequila was 16 . Final bad thing was not enough shade structures which is more of a pomona fair grounds problem . Pros Way more affordable than WYWY , Great Lineup , Merch line was pretty nice you could get any merch at any register . You could have brought your own food and alcohol so long as it wasnt in a metal container . The security was really relaxed . VIP was actually Valuable and would probably shoot for it next time myself .
Yea I had the same complaints. And pretty much the same pros haha except I didn't know you could bring food I should've paid more attention to that! Definitely some more shade would've been great. Vip didn't have much either. Vip was worth it for getting up to the stages but the amenities as well as the non existent preferred parking as well as terrible vip merch sucked. I had a better time at sick new world and even the first iteration of sick new world I felt was better. Still think these mega one day fest should be 2 days. Really appreciate you watching the video cheers 🤘🤘
Dude you nailed it! The vip parking? I was at a hotel 3 miles away. I left at 10:30am and parked with a random mix of GA/VIP at 1:50. Then we just walked towards where everyone else who had no idea where to go did. Then the shirt. I asked for a Large, I got tin and didn’t check the size I just shoved it in my bag. That is a 2XL not an L/XL or whatever they labeled it. I was a 2XL and now I’m a Large. That shit was a 2XL. I hope they fix these things for next year. Once I was in I had a great time. But man what a bummer to start the day when that should have been the start to an awesome day.
Yea absolutely the getting into the venue and parking thing was a shit show. Hopefully they do address that. And yea there was like no sign pointing to the entrance or anything I had to follow the crowd. And that shirt pissed me off so much haha. Appreciate you checking the video out!🤘🤘
I had planned out the bands I wanted to hear, and I missed two (cro-mags and adolescents) due to parking. but other than that, I had a great time! I saw the adicts, TSOL, vandals, black flag, dillinger, agent orange, selecter, suicidal, Jesus lizard, Joyce manor, dickies, fishbone, power trip, end of exploited set, crass, and misfits. I didn't feel like I needed to get close. food was good, lots of choices, I expected it to be pricier. I mostly skipped the merch line. I was happy! and I'd go next year!!
oh, and was happy it wasn't that hot. was at 2022/23 cruel world, 2023 sick new world, 2023 darker waves (ugh sand). couldn't go to this year's CW nor SNW, had conflicting events).
Glad you had an awesome time! Yea fests you definitely gotta plan your schedule. For me again I didn't feel the vip was worth it compared to other fests. I guess for me this was really expensive festival food haha. Sick new world wasnt as ridiculous as this. Yea at least it wasn't wayy too hot. Sick new world is much much better in April now but they sold wayy more tickets this year and the vip area was the same as GA pretty much haha. Appreciate you checking out the video though!🤘🤘🤘
I was there and as bad as the parking fiasco was, hours and hours waiting in the car. I finally got in when Jello was on stage with Dillinger. One positive thing was the military precision at which the bands would go on, they all appeared exactly as the schedule said. I did have fun dancing to Jello's DJing in the club :)
Yea I agree haha. And that was one thing I did like the bands did go on when they were supposed too. Glad you had a good time though!🤘🤘 and appreciate you checking the video out!
Yea I saw him with dillinger that was awesome. My buddy ran over to the agent Orange set caught him there too. That's what makes a fest like this all the bands and artists comming out to jam with each other 🤘🤘
*Our No Values Setlist:* Shattered Faith (Full Set) The Adicts T.S.O.L. (Full Set) Black Flag (Full Set) (Ron Reyes > Henry Rollins) Dillinger Escape Plan (California Uber Alles / Jello) The Garden (Full Set) The Damned FEAR Bad Religon Turnstile (Full Set) Iggy Pop The Misfits (Full Set) EPIC DAY
Power trip was awesome. I got to see them the next night at the fonda too. I think that was a better set but I like club shows better. Cheers thanks for watching!🤘🤘
Im from Pomona and used to go to LA county Fairplex every year. They should have had another entrance from white avenue. There is an entire other parking lot and entrance on the back side from where they could have just made another entrance and its on the opposite side. Its already set up to be an entrance since its the main entrance for the Fair. I showed up around 6 pm so no traffic and I parked at the starting line of the drag strip so I walked forever at the end but was able to exit in about 1 minute once I got to my car.
I hope they fix the parking for next year and yea should've been at least one more gate open I agree. Well at least you got there with no problem haha. Appreciate you checking out the video!🤘🤘
I agree with you 100% on the vip, so not worth it. Limited edition shirt was a joke and the vip merch stand we had was sold out of all event shirts. VIP parking was stupid, wouldn’t get it again
I felt like I was being pretty fair with my complaints. Vip was definitely a let down for the price. Sucks you couldn't get a fest shirt. I didn't even want one after the fuck you shirt I picked up haha. Hopefully they fix this stuff for next year. Appreciate you checking out the video! Cheers!🤘🤘
I loved it! Watch a total of 16 bands and it was pretty sick, packed but it made the environment fun, missed out on suicidal and Sublime to watch fear and joyce manor but other than that it was solid!
Ah see I didn't get to watch FEAR I got those clips from my buddy who helps on the channel too. Seen them before and they're awesome. That's not too bad but still can see that being kinda irritating rolling up thinking you're on time but they already started. Anyway I'm sure they're gunna fix alot of stuff for next year. Really appreciate you watching! Cheers!🤘🤘
Fantastic video Vulgar Gamer. Despite the food prices, there at least was plenty of food and drinks. They did not run out and the lines weren't too crazy. I agree on all the cons. For all bands, I could barely make out the songs and these songs I knew really well. I left early in frustration halfway through Exploited. I drove home tired since I had no post concert energy you get from the live music. I think the sound guys were used to doing Rap or Rave shows. The bass drum was massively muddy and the remaining audio was swirling about. This was occurring despite the stages being visually well appointed with all the right equipment. I am thinking I will never attend another festival after the disappointment from this. I am glad others had a good time. I will stick to the smaller shows from now on. 🦥🐮🐙🍉🦐🧷🚷
Thanks for checking out the video and really appreciate you saying that! Well I'm sorry you didn't have the greatest time I will say golden voice is aware of alot of the issues and I'm sure they'll fix them for next year. I wouldn't say give up on festivals completely I've been to plenty where I had an amazing time. Since you're into punk check out punk rock bowling in Vegas. I've heard nothing but good things for friends who've gone. I definitely want to check it out . 🤘🤘🤘
I went to no values and compared it to my experience at powertrip last year. Just from a value for your money no values was worth it’s price of GA admission compared to the nearly 700$ I spent for powertrip.
I had buddies who went to that I didn't feel like going because I've seen all those bands multiple times. But everything I saw those bands I was paying close to 200 for either pit or floor seats. So those tickets were priced as you'd be seeing all those headlining bands. I got vip for no values and it wasn't worth it to me. My favorite fest will always be psycho Las Vegas that was awesome. Didn't even need vip bands would literally hangout with everyone at the bars after their sets. I still think this should've been 2 days or least a couple less bands but that's just my opinion haha. Cheers and really appreciate you watching the video!🤘🤘
I didn't get in till about 1:30 because of Traffic. I think Vandals was the first band I saw. Other than traffic and super long lines for expensive food I thought it was really good.
Yea they addressed the parking situation already which is great. And I'm sure they're going to take all this into consideration for next year. Definitely had a great time watching the bands I saw, though. Just a very expensive one day fest haha. Glad you had a great time! And thank you for checking out the video! Cheers!🤘🤘
Thanks for the recap and review. I could not make it and I am glad to see this, very well done. Sorry you got yer eyeballs fried from drippy sunblock and the dreadful parking situation.🤣
By no means am I saying don't go to this either haha. I'm sure golden voice is going to try and fix alot of this next year. Great line up lots of logistical problems and vip for the price in it's current state with what they offered sucked. I gotta get the kids sunblock! Really appreciate you checking out the video! Thanks! Cheers!🤘🤘
Really appreciate you checking it out! And yea I'm sure they'll fix alot of the problems it was the first year of the fest. I'm close to the fest so il probably end up going next year too haha 🤘🤘
Two days, same amount of bands with longer sets would've been way better. I didn't think sound bleed between stages was too bad. The grandstand by physics was going to create bad echo problems for that main stage, so I stayed away from it. It actually probably helped for sound on the smaller stages on the other side of it. Parking was terrible.
Yea either 2 days or there could've been less bands. I know it's a killer lineup but maybe like 30 bands instead of 43? Haha The stands had terrible echo. But let's see what they decide to fix next year. Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
Haha lucky you! I'm only about a 15 minute drive with no traffic. And yea I fell like they could've done better with set times and who was on at the same time. Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
The real punk fest was Food Not Bombs benefit with Nausea, Ambiex, Destroy, EOW, Grief and Black Lungs with maybe 15 unknown Crust bands at Fairmont Hall in Los Angeles circa 1991.
Ive been to many festivals and i anticipated it to be difficult to get in. Thats why i got a motel nearby and got an uber to take me walking distance to the festival grounds. It was one of my all time fave festivals. Being in my 30s it was a great lineup, Soul Glo, Iggy Pop, FEAR, Aquabats, Viagra Boys, Selecter, Adolescents bands i absolutely love and bands ive been into these past couple of years, it was truly a special event. I was skanking and moshing almost all day, had to take breaks here and there. Dillinger is back baby! Only downside was conflicting times, like Hepcat and Dillinger or Sublime and Fear :(
Hell yea it was a killer line up! And I'm glad you had a blast! I went to 2 shows prior to this so yea it was hard getting there early haha. Definitely too much overlap but like I said I felt like they could've fixed alot of that if they just didn't have the misfits go on by themselves and spread it out more. Sure they'll fix alot of this next year. No band disappointed that's forsure. Did you ever go to psycho Las Vegas? That was my favorite fest went to it for years. All in one hotel literally hanging with bands partying all night after it was awesome. Appreciate you checking out the video!🤘🤘
Love Jello Biafra and Dead Kennedys. Jello's got a TH-cam channel and posts vids fairly regularly last time I checked. Will always give him props for standing up against Tipper Gore and the PMRC in the 80s. Awesome that you got to see Iggy. Dude is in incredible shape especially for his age and all the hard living he used to do. Cool that Power Trip were there. I need to check them out with the new singer as I haven't since the passing of RIley Gale. No real reason, it just skips my mind. Thanks for all the footage.🤘
Yea definitely awesome seeing him come out! Oh damn il have to check out his channel! Dee Snider from twisted sister he did the same thing it was all bullshit. Yea Iggy was great and he definitely is still in great shape. So I sqw power trip the next night at a club I gotta do a video on that too still. Haha I went to 3 shows and the fest this past weekend I'm still pretty tired. The new singer for power trip is from Skourge and is now playing with fugitive. Yea really appreciate you watching as always!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming Wow man that's killer 🤘Sounds like you saw a ton of bands last weekend.🤘On an unrelated note one of these days I'm gonna stick with an av lol. I Keep changing them lol.
Parking complaints being the biggest issue but if you got there at the right time it was no issue i got there at 10:30. Was in by 11:15. No issue great festival loved power trip be back kicking ass and jello being with agent orange also t.s.o.l and ST Heaviest sets of the day
Yup I feel like next year they're definitely gunna have things more organized. Still just thought they could make it two days. Pretty pricey for a one day fest with a ton of overlap. Still had fun though! Thanks for checking out the video 🤘🤘
Yea I don't think I was over exaggerating anything haha. It's the first year hopefully they fix alot of the issues. Still had fun but yea I've been to much better first year fests for cheaper too. That shirt pissed me off so much haha Appreciate you watching the video! Cheers!🤘🤘
My dumbass put off getting tickets because I thought it was in August… trying to forget this happened… but also at the same time I too can’t stand these new one day festivals where you have to pick and choose which band you want to see on top of the ridiculous prices.. I went to the first when we were young, drove out the Saturday it was cancelled just to turn around and drive home and went the next weekend. And just for having a regular $300 GA ticket you’re so far away from the main stages and practically watching the screens.. luckily my friend and I were able to watch a few bands we wanted to see on the side stages before we snuck into the VIP section of the main stages which was awesome but was a sacrifice because we missed a few bands playing the other stages and couldn’t leave where we were because we wouldn’t have had the same luck getting back in… makes me missed warped tour.. $30 and can literally see all the bands you want plus discovering new ones and being able to move through the crowd… I realize times are different and everything is more expensive
Wonder if they'll do this again. Dont remember when this years was announced but we're closing in on 2025, if they plan to do it around the same time there wont be much notice this time around. Either way I had a blast, especially for the price I paid (got a more values ticket for $100). I rarely pay full price for these one day fests, especially on the first year just because im not sure how well put together the fest will be. I don't even consider getting VIP because the price is never worth it and most the time people who get VIP at these one day fests get screwed over one way or another. Got there early so I had no problem getting in, its crazy to hear that people were stuck outside but I fully believe it because I was completely lost trying to find the entrance. Signage was none existent
Yea definitely was a good time. But yea vip wasn't worth it and I didn't get there early so that sucked haha. Who knows if they'll do it. Should've announced it by now. We'll see. Thanks for checking out the video🤘🤘
Glad you touched up on the cons about the shirt.. I didn’t bother getting a shirt but I got a patch they were selling which were $8 but cmon.. we could of gotten those rad tour shirts and they could of sold these middle finger shirts
Haha I feel like my complaints were pretty fair and that vip merch just pissed me off. We could've either gotten a voucher for a shirt inside or just the fest shirt. It wouldn't of been that much more a cost to them. Pins were terrible too. Hopefully they address some of issues for next. Appreciate you checking out the video cheers!🤘🤘
I remember making mixed tapes for friends and creating fake flyers with Misfits/ Adicts/Crass as a faux show. How would I know a show with all three would actually happen. Steve is CRASS. Penny and Andy T abandoned him over lack of funds. Steve moved out with 6 different bands throughput until putting on CRASS shows. Let's face it, the real fans love it.
That's great you saw, essentially, all three of those bands in one place on one day: Adicts, Crass, and Misfits. Never got into Crass, but I'm a huge Misfits and pretty big Adicts fan. What was surreal about it was the part of the day I saw The Exploited, walked up the hill after they finished, checked out some Social Distortion, then seeing The Misfits. It was a joke between my brother and I that half of my old tape collection was playing that day. He took my seventeen year old niece, a huge punk fan, and almost got crushed in front during the Misfits' set. She crowdsurfed out, but she said some people were being total a-holes in front. I was in the back with the wife, dancing a little, then taking it easy in the bleachers. Just an amazing day overall, despite the bad traffic and high food prices. A couple other good things: plenty of free water and the weather was warm but not hot.
Yea I went to 2 shows prior to this no way I was getting up that early haha. Didn't it would be so bad at the time we got there though. Had a buddy get there at like 830 had no problem. I'm sure they'll address it for next year. Hope you had a killer time! Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
Parking was incredibly bad but I didn’t have a huge problem with the set times. We managed to see The Adicts, The Vandals, Agent Orange, The Lawrence Arms, Fidlar, Fear, Bad Religion, Turnstile (for a bit), Iggy Pop, Social D (for a bit), Viagra Boys, and Misfits. It was quite a day. The thing I will never understand is how there is shit sprayed over all the porta-potties by 1pm. Like I get it by 7 or 8 when you’ve been stuck there all day drinking and eating crap but how are they always destroyed immediately? Who is leaving the house for an all day fest and not realizing they’re about to explode?
Golden voice just addressed the parking and was giving refunds I gotta get on that haha. Glad you had a killer time though! I touched on it a little just feel like they could've had other bands play the same time as the misfits and it would've spaced things out a bit more. And I would've preferred like 5 or 10 less bands to give other bands longer sets would've been cool. Still had a good time with the bands I saw. Pretty sure next year should be better. And yea those portashiters got gross fast haha. There's no time to shit when you gotta get to the pit! I mean at least no one shit themselves in the pit haha. Cheers thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
I think your complaints are the same as mine. Parking was a joke, the tshirt was a disappointment and the food was expensive and there wasn’t enough options. My buddy and I ended up walking close to 13 miles total during the entire show so we could see all the bands, and I still missed 3 or 4 bands I wanted to see. But all in all most of the bands I saw were good and sound was pretty good. The only disappointing band was Black Flag.
Yea seems like across the board everyone had similar complaints. Definitely needs to be better food. And damn you walked alot haha. I was just hanging out watching bands here and there. That's awesome you didnt have a lot of sounds issues. And again, I think the whole fest done over 2 days would be much better. Really appreciate you watching!🤘🤘
Yea golden voice addressed that issue which is awesome and if you email them you can get a refund. Turnstile definitely was awesome. Still glad I got to see them in a club and sign a vinyl before they got big haha doubt you'll ever see them in small venues anymore. Thanks for watching the video!🤘🤘
Also they charged super bowl prices for all the food. MUCH higher than any festival Ive been too. I paid 22 bucks for a small burger and 12 bucks for a lemonade.
I thought I was the only one complaining about that haha. I've been to so many festivals and never dealt with this kind of price gouging haha. Really appreciate you watching!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming Punk in the Park in Ventura had free beer from 12-3 and all the Monster Energy drinks were free too, as many you wanted. I had the best shrimp and fish burrito ever for like $17. Best time I ever had at any festival.
The same promotion company as Punk in the Park is doing NOFX final 3 LA shows it will be a guaranteed blast! Anyways I love your footage! Bummed i missed Fishbone and Vandals.
Vandals were the first I saw too. Glad I did VIP because it got hot as shit and they had plenty of water, beer and tarps. TSOL and ST still had great energy. That kid on bass was epic. Agree with BF set was lagging. Iggy and Social D was worth the whole thing. But y, parking and merch sucked. I did think it was great how non aggressive it was. People just getting along, all age groups.
Yea that was like the only perk of vip haha. Golden voice said they were giving refunds for the shit parking. Yea I saw no fights or anything which was great. Had a killer time watching all the bands I saw too. Think next year they should have all this fixed. Just again for the price of vip I've been to 4 day fests with bigger bands and more bands then this one day fest. Wish It would've been 2 days but hey they want their money haha. Thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
Ozzfest always had a great time a mega fest since 1996 they know how to party...rockstar mayhem ran 8 yrs never a problem even with the heat now no values lots of issues
That's what I'm saying I've been to plenty of one day mega fests but now it seems like there's not alot of care going into them. Always loved ozzfest, it's not dead and mayhem. Never had any problems except burning trash fires haha Appreciate you watching! Cheers🤘🤘
Thanks for watching really appreciate that! Oh that's a great tip il definitely have to do that next time. I didn't but my buddy who went to this too goes every year. Yea seems like everyone does at these big fests haha. Gotta have that meeting point!🤘🤘
Took us 4.5 hours from our hotel in Ontario. Luckily we parked in the most amazing spot by the drag strip bleachers and it took us 15 minutes to get back to the hotel.
Yea definitely ridiculous. I'm sure they're going to address this for next year. I got sent all the wayy in the back so took a while to get out also haha. Appreciate you checking out the video!🤘🤘
I keep seeing people complain about parking issues. I got in, in about 10 minutes and took about 15 minutes to get out. I got there at 830am... i did get prefer parking without having it so that sucks for people that paud for it but for those of us that showed up early it was a win
Oh yea again alot of these issues I'm sure they're gunna solve next year or hopefully they do haha. I went to 2 shows prior to this so we were pretty burnt out why we got there so late. Had a buddy get their the same time no problem. Hope you had a killer time and thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
Me and my buddy came from Canada to see this lineup and it was Amazing!. All these little annoyances are manageable. It was like the greatest time of our lives. Stop being spoiled.
Hey glad you guys had a great time! And I believe my complaints were valid. I've been to a ton of festivals. Even the first year of sick new world was much better. Never said I had a terrible time and I'm just pointing out what I hope they can fix. I think for the price of this fest you should check out punk rock bowling in Vegas tons more bands over 4 days for the same price as this. And one of the best festivals around was psycho Las Vegas it had tons of bands from every genre on it. For 250 bucks I got to see 30 full one hour sets over 4 days which was awesome. Got to see the dwarves in a small club because that's where some of the stages were. Anyway appreciate you checking out the video. Cheers 🤘
Yea I hope they improve on that next year. Yea Powertrip was awesome. Did you catch them at the fonda the next night too? Appreciate you watching also cheers!🤘🤘
Seriously ppl are so damn entitled in LA 😂, we get some great stuff and all ppl do is complain 🤭. I’m in the goth “scene” and that’s all ppl do when we get reunions of iconic bands that haven’t played in decades, ppl still complain 🤷♀️ brats 😂…
Again my complaints were fair and valid. Also I've been to a ton of fests. It's not dead fest took place in San Bernardino those were both one and were awesome no problems. Also the first year of sick new world ran much better. Haha it's not like I'm comparing this to nothing saying it's my first fest. But hey I hope had a great time! And appreciate you hearing me bitch!🤘🤘
It should've been a 2 day festival. There were too many bands I liked playing at the same time. The merch line was a joke too. They should've had separate merch booth tables for each band instead of making it one god awful line. The parking was also abysmal. Truly piss poor planning all around. The bands were awesome though!
absolutely..it has to be two days for the same price... they would have made even more money just selling beer for another day! there has to be time between sets to get around and get something to eat. packing it all in one day is just too hectic. I expect next year they'll probably do at least two days, maybe even three like punk rock bowling.
Yea I doubt they'll do that because they made a shit ton of money for just one day. And people came out. Same with sick new world. Golden voice doesn't have to pay insurance or staff for another day so it saves them money. I do wanna go to punk rock bowling I never heard anything bad about it. Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming I don't know.. I still think the money they would make from concessions and merch would more than make up for having to pay the workers an extra day. insurance for an extra day can't be that much. but you might be right.. golden voice can't resist a cash grab!
Yea they definitely want the cash grab haha. That's why I'm kinda over these one day fests but at the sametime the line up are so good that's how they pull us in haha
VIP floor for Misfits and Agnostic Front in Texas are $300 each. If you do the math, Social Distortion, Misfits, Suicidal and any one of the other bands would cost you almost the same as the VIP tickets. And that's not even for floor...thats nosebleed. When Suicidal, Misfits, and Agnostic played the Garden, nosebleed seats were $350 each. Personally, i feel like i got my money's worth. I wish i had more time to watch the half pipe, and the t-shirt and pins sucked. I lucked out and actually got preferred parking. I was right next to the merch tent, and i showed up late... right at the end of Black Flag.
I mean i can see that but I've been to alot of fests where the vip offered wayyyy more then this did and for a fraction of the price. And it depends what you get for vip at those shows. Usually a different experience like meeting the band and stuff. Also I don't like going off scalper prices that's always a bummer. But glad you had a great time! And that you actually got the preferred parking haha. I got in at the sametime and they sent us all the way to the back. Appreciate you checking out the video!🤘🤘
I'm middle aged / so is my lady so we planned ahead of time... basically we wanted to see the Aquabats so we got there super early My Woman lives like 15 minutes away so we got there.... Parked GA NO VALUES... went inside Bought some tee shirts... We were there right when the Cro Mags opened up.... Bands we saw Cro Mags Aquabats Adolescents Adicts The Damned TSOL Vandals Suicidal Tendencies Black Flag Barely saw Sublime / jesus lizard / Fear then Bad Religion (they all played at the same time) A decision was made to skip Social D to get close for Iggy Pop then Stay for the Misfits IGGY POP.... Then believe it or not we could get about 5 people lengths closer for The Misfits It was a 45 minute wait as it got closer I asked my woman if she knew what was going to happen ... because the whole day we were either off to the sides or far back but we're hear for when it counts... so now we were like 20 people lengths from the guard rail.... Once again I checked with her... when we were 5 minutes out... The last thing I remember was Death Comes Ripping and we were basically in a "PIT" LOL Danzig addressed the crowd after the opener Left and got out like real quick.. went to Dennys and glad we went
Hell yea seems you planned it all out OK! Glad you had a good time. No way I could get there early after 2 days of shows prior to this haha. Yea leaving earlier would've been a better move too. But my buddy wanted to watch the whole misfits set. I've seen them plenty of times now. Still a great set. Didn't see a terrible set the whole day. Hopefully they address some of the issues next year I'm sure they will. Thanks for checking out the video cheers!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming We left after the Misfits encore but we thought they were going to come back with WE ARE 138 .... we parked by the race track and that was the key because we had our own little exit. Unless the 90s Misfits play I don't see myself going to No Values again. "Punk Rock" came full circle for me that night as I saw my first show at the Glass House in Pomona... Voo Doo Glow Skulls in 97' worst Pit of all time was Bad Religion at House of Blues Anaheim in like 2005... that was a crowd surge that I was able to hop over the bar. I was active duty military at the time so I didn't get thrown out completely
My problems with No Values: the parking. Very confusing and horrible. The stage setup also sucked. Stages were miles apart from each other and should have been labeled. Some of the stages sounded like shit. Lastly, almost $20 for a Pabst is criminal. Anyway, I enjoyed Suicidal, Bad Religion, Sublime, Turnstile, Social Distortion. I left during Social D because I needed to piss really bad and didn’t feel like walking back to the front of their stage where I was standing. I also didn’t want to be caught in that traffic on the way out, so I missed the Misfits.
Yea seems like everyone had the same complaints haha. And yea some stages did sound terrible and they should've been labeled. 20 dollar tall cans suck haha Glad you caught some sets that were enjoyable. And yea we didn't leave early Took awhile to get out. Thank you for watching!🤘🤘
Yea definitely shit beer selections hopefully they add like some beer carts or vendors next year. As well as fix a lot of stuff. Appreciate you watching the video!🤘🤘
The food was insane to me beer is what is pretty normal at shows now which still sucks. Yea I mean at least there was free water haha. Hopefully they address somethings for next year. Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
I was there. Worth every penny…. Had a blast 💥
Hell yea glad you had a great time! 🤘
Me too! Plus it was my 51st birthday! I had a great time!
Fuck yea thats awesome! Happy belated birthday haha 🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming thanks.
But the preferred parking situation was a mess
I hope they take all this into consideration for next year.
I was there ,
Shitty Parking , Bad Stage Layout , Shitty exiting the venue experience , Stands couldnt hear the main stage well , absurdly expensive food 3 chiken tenders and a small fry was 25 bucks .
My friend got her weed confiscated. Security didn't even look in my big back pack. Weird.
Yea they pulled me aside to look at my belt but everyone else was fine haha
@user-dl5jg8gn8f yeah I got in with a full camel back and a box of protein bars. They didn't even check
Nice that's awesome. Definitely was a spotty search but they have those new metal detectors which seem to be pretty good getting into places
Dillinger with Jello was a treat I didn't expect. And then he goes on to perform with Agent Orange. He'll yeah
Yea I saw him with dillinger that was awesome. My buddy ran over to the agent Orange set caught him there too. That's what makes a fest like this all the bands and artists comming out to jam with each other 🤘🤘
*Our No Values Setlist:*
Shattered Faith (Full Set)
The Adicts
T.S.O.L. (Full Set)
Black Flag (Full Set) (Ron Reyes > Henry Rollins)

EPIC DAY
Hell yea that definitely is a full day of some killer sets! Glad you had a great time!
Appreciate you watching!🤘🤘
Power trip! 🤘🏾
Hell yea glad you had a great time! Yea the people and bands definitely made it better after all the other things haha.
Thanks for watching cheers! 🤘🤘
FEAR started maybe like 5 minutes early but the rest of the bands played on time
Ah see I didn't get to watch FEAR I got those clips from my buddy who helps on the channel too.
Thanks! Cheers!🤘🤘
Nice video bro , very informative ❤ see what its like next time looked amazing 🔥
Haha
The stands had terrible echo.
But let's see what they decide to fix next year.
Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
I live around the corner. I walked to the show. The parking was a fucking nightmare.the Set times were dumb
Haha lucky you! I'm only about a 15 minute drive with no traffic.
And yea I fell like they could've done better with set times and who was on at the same time.
Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming but at 50 years old I still loved it. I’ll do it again.
Hell yea!
I completely forgot this wasn't the first one day punk fest. Did you ever go to it's not dead fest in San Bernardino? Those were awesome.
The real punk fest was Food Not Bombs benefit with Nausea, Ambiex, Destroy, EOW, Grief and Black Lungs with maybe 15 unknown Crust bands at Fairmont Hall in Los Angeles circa 1991.
Holy shit yea that a wild show right there haha
I read somewhere that this was the "inaugural" No Values Fest so hopefully we get round 2 in 2025. Cause I missed out big time!
Yea it was the first one hence alot of problems. Hopefully they fix them and yea I'm sure they'll have it again next year. 🤘🤘
Let’s dive!! 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Hell yea!🤘🤘 Always appreciate you watching!
Yea definitely was an exhausting weekend!🤘🤘
Awesome day!!
Hell yea glad you had a great time!
Thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
Parking complaints being the biggest issue but if you got there at the right time it was no issue i got there at 10:30. Was in by 11:15. No issue great festival loved power trip be back kicking ass and jello being with agent orange also t.s.o.l and ST Heaviest sets of the day
Yup I feel like next year they're definitely gunna have things more organized. Still just thought they could make it two days. Pretty pricey for a one day fest with a ton of overlap. Still had fun though! Thanks for checking out the video 🤘🤘
Holy fuck you hit all the cons I was thinking after going. Still loved the event but god damn those cons outweighed the pros by far. That shirt 😂😂😂😂😂
Yea I don't think I was over exaggerating anything haha. It's the first year hopefully they fix alot of the issues. Still had fun but yea I've been to much better first year fests for cheaper too.
That shirt pissed me off so much haha
Appreciate you watching the video!
Damn that's happened to me before... well next year is gunna be alot better so plan on for that one!🤘🤘
@VulgarDisplayofGaming pins sucked more than the shirt. My packs did not have the heart Pamona pin, though. We got a fly. Lol.
Those pins were soon ridiculous haha
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming the enamel pins looked better
Oh I didn't even see those
Black Flag doing Louie Louie 🤘🏼🤘🏼😈😈🍻🍻🤣🤣
Yea thought that was pretty funny too haha
Louie Louie. The ultimate break glass in case of emergency song. If all else fails hit em with Louie Louie.
Haha seems like it is🤘
I remember making mixed tapes for friends and creating fake flyers with Misfits/ Adicts/Crass as a faux show.
Hell yea glad your flyers predicted the future! Definitely was a killer line up. And yea he had a great set!
Glad it wasn't super hot at least I agree! 🤘🤘
That would be an awesome lineup
Definitely turned out to be one!🤘🤘
Dude the Dead Milkmen and L7 freaking amazing
Hell yea they were! Thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
I got preferred parking!!! I got there at ten and had no issue
We managed to see The Adicts, The Vandals, Agent Orange, The Lawrence Arms, Fidlar, Fear, Bad Religion,
Turnstile (for a bit), Iggy Pop, Social D (for a bit), Viagra Boys, and Misfits.
Getting out of the lot was insane. I also had preferred parking. It meant jack shit. The attendants had no clue. Turnstile was perfect, though.
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming Wow. I was going to email them too. What email did you send it to?
Just message their customer support or call them they should be able to help you out.
i was at VIP 👌
Same here how did you like it? Did you think it was worth it?
That was one I wish I could've gone too! That always looked awesome!
The same promotion company as Punk in the Park is doing NOFX final 3 LA shows it will be a guaranteed blast! Anyways I love your footage! Bummed i missed Fishbone and Vandals.
I definitely wanna go to one of those at least. I'm more stoked for the openers then I am NOFX haha seen them before though.
Never had any problems except burning trash fires haha
Appreciate you watching! Cheers🤘🤘
Great run down. One tip, get the kids sunscreen. It doesn't burn the eyes. Did you go to Cruel World Festival? I lost my people too for a while. LOL
Thanks for watching really appreciate that!
Oh that's a great tip il definitely have to do that next time.
I didn't but my buddy who went to this too goes every year.
Yea seems like everyone does at these big fests haha. Gotta have that meeting point!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming I'm going to issue air tags to my people at these shows. LOL
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming Did you see Jello with Agent Orange do Police Truck?
But how would you track them with no signal!??! Hahaha
@@user-dl5jg8gn8f no I didn't my buddy did. I saw him just do california Uber alies
You nailed it
I mean I think I was pretty fair haha.
Appreciate you checking the video out!🤘🤘
I keep seeing people complain about parking issues.
Hope you had a killer time and thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
yo that black flag set was abysmal. i love the original stuff but holy hell
Yea I can't say it was my favorite set of the day haha.
Thanks for checking out the video!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming subscribed!
@@Mitchell_Parent really appreciate that!🤘🤘🤘
I got a refund for the preferred parking. That was total bee ess.
What how'd you get a refund? Haha mine was tied to the vip not sure if I can.
But thanks for watching cheers!🤘🤘
Cheers 🤘
Your complaints were definitely well warranted. That parking fiasco sucked, power trip saved the show for me though. Incredible set they played
Definitely should've been two days I felt too. And yea I agree with you on everything.
Bands didn't disappoint though!🤘
absolutely..it has to be two days for the same price... they would have made even more money just selling beer for another day!
there has to be time between sets to get around and get something to eat. packing it all in one day is just too hectic.
I just sat outside and listened to the Misfits 😂
Haha now that's what I call Value!🤘🤘
@@VulgarDisplayofGaming thanks for covering the event.

The Damned / Adicts / Iggy on one show.. 🤙🤙
Hell yea definitely was a killer lineup!🤘🤘
sounds like a dusty good time
Haha definitely was! What's you're next show I'm gunna catch ya at?🤘🤘
I'm middle aged / so is my lady so we planned ahead of time... basically we wanted to see the Aquabats so we got there super early
My Woman lives like 15 minutes away so we got there.... Parked GA NO VALUES... went inside Bought some tee shirts...
We were there right when the Cro Mags opened up....
Bands we saw
Cro Mags
Aquabats
Adolescents
Adicts
The Damned
TSOL
Vandals
Suicidal Tendencies
Black Flag
Barely saw Sublime / jesus lizard / Fear then Bad Religion (they all played at the same time)
A decision was made to skip Social D to get close for Iggy Pop then Stay for the Misfits
IGGY POP....
Then believe it or not we could get about 5 people lengths closer for The Misfits
It was a 45 minute wait as it got closer I asked my woman if she knew what was going to happen ... because the whole day we were either off to the sides or far back but we're hear for when it counts... so now we were like 20 people lengths from the guard rail....
Once again I checked with her... when we were 5 minutes out... The last thing I remember was Death Comes Ripping and we were basically in a "PIT" LOL
Danzig addressed the crowd after the opener
Left and got out like real quick.. went to Dennys and glad we went
Voo Doo Glow Skulls in 97'
worst Pit of all time was Bad Religion at House of Blues Anaheim in like 2005... that was a crowd surge that I was able to hop over the bar. I was active duty military at the time so I didn't get thrown out completely
That's awesome you got out of there quickly then. Took us maybe 30 or 40 minutes
And damn those were definitely some killer shows!🤘🤘
The shirt for the more values package was shit lol
I’m just glad I got to see Jesus lizard and power trip .
The shirt was truly pathetic. Power Trip was awesome!
The shirt was terrible haha
Yea I missed Jesus Lizard caught a little power trip but also saw them the next night too.
Thanks for watching!🤘
20 dollar tall cans suck haha
Glad you caught some sets that were enjoyable. And yea we didn't leave early Took awhile to get out.
Thank you for watching!🤘🤘
No problem man! Good stuff! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Really do appreciate it. I haven't been doing this long so hopefully i can give off some good information and be mildly entertaining haha 🤘
For sure man, got yourself a sub! Keep up the good work bro 👍🏽👍🏽

I agree with all the cons! Beer selection sucked as well.
Yea definitely shit beer selections hopefully they add like some beer carts or vendors next year. As well as fix a lot of stuff.
Appreciate you watching the video!🤘🤘
Fuck the food and beer prices…and water lol the free water was tap and gross. Over all it was cool but the prices were ridiculously over priced
The food was insane to me beer is what is pretty normal at shows now which still sucks.
Yea I mean at least there was free water haha. Hopefully they address somethings for next year.
Thanks for watching!🤘🤘
I wouldn't drink from the free fountain if I was dying of thirst.
@@shredhead99 but it’s so punk rock to drink tap lol it was right next to the bathrooms too it was gnarly
Yea I didn't go to that one at all haha
Don't you mean agent orange
What do you mean?
Wtf sublime overlap bad religion by 10 mins thats messed up, they could done all these bands over 2 days
Yea I'm sure they'll work on it for next year hopefully haha.
Cheers thanks for watching!🤘🤘
The overlap of bands was super annoying. Also the Mike Muir signing at Dixxon was during the Bad Religion set which was awful timing.
Yea that was ridiculous
Current black flag is hard to watch imo
I feel ya haha
Mostly worth it except for the parking bullshit
Parking did suck! Glad you had a good time then. Thanks for checking the video out!🤘🤘
