It's the worst city in the world for selfish, irresponsible cyclists, many examples of which we see here, and they're encouraged in their dangerous behaviour by a mayor who seems interested only in promoting cycling at the expense of public transport
And yet, this year the good people of London, including myself, have seen fit to elect Sadiq Khan as Mayor for a record breaking third time. People have had enough of cars dominating our lives. London has always been a supremely walkable city. And thanks to the Mayor it is becoming ever more so. And public transport is doing just fine. So cry more tears. Hate all you like. It won't make a bit of difference. Cyclists and pedestrians alike are reclaiming their city.
@paulusthewoodgnome it's funny you should say that, because my complaint about cyclists isn't from the point of view of motor car drivers, it's from the perspective of pedestrians, for whom cyclists charging across junctions against red lights and over pedestrian crossings are a real menace. They're the real adversary of pedestrians, not cars, these days, as cyclists believe that traffic signals don't apply to them
