You had a good Black Friday haul, didn't you? 😘I think I bought a few patterns that were on my long wish list. From True Bias, the printed Riley (which I had been waiting for) and the new Blair? skirt. I didn't wait for the printed one there haha. Also the Helen's Closet Jackson pullover. I had blocked the Stylemaker order from my head, My birthday discount is usually the one I do. But I closed my eyes and placed that order! 😆😆 Some rose denim, a printed cotton jersey and the quilted double knit. Outfit in a box, haha. Your wools look divine!! 😍 Lucky You! Have a great week and Christimas!
Thanks for sharing your purchases! I bought a new sewing machine! I got the Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75q. It was time for a new machine so I figured Black Friday was a good time.
I like I Am Patterns. I've only made the rain jacket though. Love the trench coat! Re: using up your yarn stash. ❤ I did this with fabric, donated a lot, used up the rest, now only buying for each project. You have a great eye for fabrics.
Hi Sara, I like Valley Yarns and superwash merino wool bulky yarn and made some cozy slipper socks. I wasn't crazy about the pattern, but they knitted up nicely. I also hit the Stylemaker black Friday sale and got some lovely red print rayon poplin, green print crepe, as well as some black ponte knit. Hopefully, I'll get them made up in the coming year. Looking forward to seeing all your wool coats and jackets! Happy Sewing!😀
I went ham on fabric mart for black friday 😬 I asked for fabric for Christmas and well, I got some 😆 The wools you chose are beautiful, I especially like the chocolate brown!
I bought quite a few Style Arc pdf patterns that I'd had my eye on - 30% off I couldn't resist! Love your fabric purchases although I didn't buy any fabrics for myself ❤
Nice haul and I like the woolens. Not a Black Friday but a beginning of the month splurge. I bought 5 meters of black and white mini check dupioni. It is a heavier weight and I plan on sewing a vintage blouse and cigarette trousers. Vogue V9187 for the blouse and Vogue V9189 for the trousers. Impulse buying for me is something I've thought about for a long time and planned out and I throw caution to the wind and buy. I do have some lengths of red velvet, black cotton/poly twill, black ponte knit, black pima shirting cotton, red plaid twill and bemburg lining for a light coat that I will make out beige/black taffeta.
Love the classic outerwear patterns you purchased. Can’t wait to hear how the coatigan turns out with the “iffy” instructions. I’m sure you will be up for a New Year challenge 😊. Was about to say no BF sewing purchases for me but then I forgot I purchased an adapter and modified walking foot (Madam Sew’s version) for my vintage Bernina. Hate to invest too much in my machine since I know they’ll come a day when parts are no longer available. So will try this as a stand by walking foot. Darn, forgot I caught up in the BF shopping. They have ways of luring me in!
i think it's ok to buy things that you were going to buy anyway and get them at a discount. it sounds like you are very far from overconsuming on things you don't need.
Very nice haul Sara! I love the fabrics you selected! You didn’t mention having any plans of doing them this year, but if you do, I’ll really be looking forward to seeing the beautiful wools made up!

yes, i forgot to mention i have a separate plans video coming up which definitely includes some of the new purchases.
I didn't buy any fabric on Black Friday because I have SO MUCH fabric already and I'm trying to sew it up rather than buy more. I was good, Santa!
that's great! i'm happy for you.
