You can't see Krishna's face because Krishna is God. The makers did not want to associate a face with God or have the actor fail to strike that godly feel within audiences, hence his silhouetted body. This is not Krishna's story, and why give him a face and potentially have people troll an actor for not being worthy of playing God onscreen. Plus, the silhouette look is awesome.
@@kalakritistudios Overall, I know this movie isn't perfect. But it is absolutely not the wreck these two are saying it was. In fact, the second half is great, and the opening sequence till Prabhas shows up is a perfect set-up. And yes I know what you are talking about. But then, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't seen Ben-Hur.
@@prasoonjha1816 I mean, there is a story behind it. But it didn't exactly creep in from there. It's there to give gravitas and mystery to someone. No. its made for International audience tooo. thats why they Screened this movie trailer in comicon. But the fact is that, What ever they trying to make International level, People still make everything like typical cringe indian movie style. If you take out Praphas"s Scenes from the first half. then it will looks great.
then why this movie was released overseas ? stop the cap punk now let me spill the real beans behind the very idea of this movie actually your Indian film makers have been trying since for a long while to create something globally remarkable which will stay forever alive universally all across the world somewhat like marvel franchise so they came up with some ideas previously as well like Krissh and few others but those didn't do really well on the global screens however this movie hyped itself so much that they even took bold step to promote it on international comicon expo thinking that it'll be a game changer for indian cinematography for the very 1st time and to be honest it did to a certain degree but nowhere close to marvel and other hollywood pinnacle of success stories. this movie was watched across the world specially in north america but by whom mostly the NRIs only no doubt as compared to other Indian movies which were launched outside India this one did pretty far ahead of them but not even an inch close to hollywood specials that's the only thing hence now the Indian audiences are capping hard that it was for Indians only LOL
Maybe watch the movie first without judging every single scene while that scene is still going on. Or at least pause the scene to give a commentary on it.
46:45 they didnt show him as a dead guy waking up suddenly u two Sherlocks😂 thats not what everyone are focusing in the scene...u both lack context...they showed a normal bounter hunter who had no connection with the past activated that powerful weapon which only works in a certain individual indicating bhairava was that right from the beginning so the whole movie context changes..everything about his life..his selfishness, charecterization and him always wearing a sheild, etc...this is that contextual payoff in that scene....u got the whole thing wrong...every sec of this movie was made for indians who knows context...so the payoff is actually for them 😂...the entire joke is on u...this movie gave 100 questions and tons and tons of info but u didnt even knew it was giving u that info cause u were barely understanding anything...sorry but u both were not the target audience for this movie so nothing about this movie is gonna work...kindly dont watch the sequel

The movie is about the coming of 10th avatar of lord Vishu according to the Hindu religion, so it will be very difficult for you to relate. I had goosebumps, especially in 2nd half of the movie. Also, this was made in very low budget so you can't compare it to dune (but we will anyway, you, me and many others). This movie will be later recognised as a cultural shift in the story of Indian cinema. India has so many great stories but film makers do not attempt to make movies (we dont know why). This is the first time it has been successful. But love your roasting, made me laugh.

well instead of getting salty maybe you Indians should come up with some based concepts if you guys really want to impact the global audience a good example would be The Shawshank Redemption your country would never be able to come up with ideas like that face the truth and cope
The first half of the movie is very weak and slow and character design of Prabhas some liked it some not, it was childish. Biggest problem was Director thought about building the world more than the development of story and characters and he assumed that everybody knows the lore. The forced humour was bad. I think director tried to make it like a Marvel movie but couldn't balance it. And i hate that opening fight scene of Prabhas way too stretched and fight choreography was bad. It was supposed to make people question why he is so strong and never lost and then you got your answers or reveal at the end of the movie. But you just feel disconnected. I think explanation of bad hairstyle so that Ashwatthama doesn't recognize him. The cameos from other actors were impactless no connection at all, except Rajamouli that was fun. He is quite new it was his 3rd movie I think and the most expensive Indian movie but he didn't messed up big time like the previous director who worked with Prabhas(I won't even recommend you guys to look for that movie). In the end beside the flaws the story is exciting for Indian audiences only, specially people who are well versed with Mahabharata. I would recommend a movie called Mahanati from same director. It is based on the life of Female superstar of Telugu cinema. You will like that movie and see what his true potential is.

Finally , I had written this for you guys hoping you will watch this movie and it will be hard to get reference to Mahabharata. Some facts about the movie:- The opening scene of the movie shows the Kurukshetra Battle (the biggest chapter of epic Mahabharata). A dynastic struggle between two groups of cousins, the Kauravas and the Pandavas, for the throne of Hastinapura. About Pandavas and Kauravas. Pandavas were 5 brothers and Kauravas were 100 brothers. The Kauravas and Pandavas were cousins who both wanted their elder brother to rule the throne of Hastinapura. Before them father of Pandavas named Pandu was King. The father of Kauravas Dhritarashtra was blind. Dhritarashtra, was elder than his brother Pandu but was forced to renounce the throne in favor of his brother Pandu because of his blindness. So when Pandu retired , throne was offered to Dhritrasthra. Now the eldest brother of Pandavas named Yudhisthira and Kauravas named Duryodhana both were rivals to become the next king. Duryodhana (main antagonist of Mahabharata) believed that he should be the heir to the throne of Hastinapura because he was the son of the eldest brother, his father Dhritrashtra. And there was already injustice to his father when he was not made king at first because of his blindness. He also hated Yudhisthira because he was known as Dharmaraja, which means "the upholder of dharma". Everyone loved him. So Duryodhana was scared that the council of elders will make him king. So he orchestrated many schemes to hurt and kill Pandavas. All this lead to an epic battle between them in which Pandavas defeated Kauravas. Mainly because Shri Krishna was on their side. (This may remind you of Baahubali. SS Rajamouli takes inspiration from Mahabharata quite often. He says it is his dream project to make Mahabharata for screen which will be very challenging because it is very complicated story and has thousands of characters. Acc. to him to do justice to the story it has to be made into 10 parts.) Back to the movie:- The first scene of movie features Ashwatthama, is from the end of the battle. Ashwatthama fought from the side of Kauravas. When Kauravas lost the war he was angry specially with the death of his father in battle, so to take revenge Ashwatthama infiltrated the camp of the Pandavas at night and killed their children in their sleep. Upon learning that their is one unborn child of Pandav clan. Ashwatthama aimed a Brahmastra(the most powerful devine weapon) at Uttara's womb while she was pregnant with Abhimanyu's child, in an attempt to end the Pandava lineage. The weapon struck Uttara, and her son was stillborn. However, Lord Krishna used his powers to revive the baby, naming him Parikshit, which means "the one who triumphs all exams and tests of life". Krishna also entered Uttara's womb as a soul to save the baby. Ashwatthama was a warrior who fought for the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra War. He was born with a gemstone in his head. Which protected him from diseases, gave him healing. He was skilled in using divine weapons like the Brahmastra, Narayanastra, and Brahmashirastra, but he didn't know how to reverse the Brahmastra. When Krishna suggested that Ashwatthama redirect the weapon to an uninhabited area, Ashwatthama instead aimed it at Uttara. As punishment, Krishna cursed Ashwatthama with immortality, and he was forced to live forever with a gaping wound on his forehead. In Hinduism, The four yugas(ages)are the Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and the Kali Yuga(the ongoing one) Each yuga represents a decline in the spiritual life of humans, followed by a period of renewal and a new Satya Yuga. The yugas are also said to correspond to a decline in the moral and physical state of humanity. Each Yuga being progressively shorter than the previous one. One yuga is equal to average around 12,000 years on Earth. The three main gods of Hinduism are Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, who make up the Trimurti: Brahma: The god of creation Vishnu: The god of preservation Shiva: The god of destruction According to Hinduism, Shri Hri (God) Vishnu takes Avatars to restore balance and order to the universe during times of need, which are called Yugas. Vishnu's Avatars are believed to embody Dharma, a key Hindu concept that represents order, righteousness, and duty. They are also thought to descend to Earth to empower the good, destroy evil, and relieve the burden on the Earth. The word Avatar comes from Sanskrit and roughly translates to "incarnation". The ongoing Yuga is the Kali Yuga. Kali Yuga is said to be an age of conflict and sin, where humans increasingly adopt negative traits like greed, falsehood, violence, and ignorance. It's also believed that the influence of Kali, a demonic entity, increases during this time, leading to a deterioration of human behavior and social order. So, according to some beliefs KALKI the final Avatar of Lord Vishnu is prophesied to appear at the end of Kali Yuga, the current age, when the world is ruled by the unjust and virtue and dharma have disappeared. Kalki will destroy the wicked and usher in a new age of purity, truth, and righteousness, called Satya Yuga. So, the Director Nag Ashwin had the idea that what if Ashawatthama is still alive and he is watching all these things throughout the history and waiting for the Kalki Avatar so that he can redeem himself. Ashwatthama was cursed because he attacked an unborn child. So here in this story/movie, he is given the task to protect an unborn child( The Kalki Avatar). About Bhairava/ Karna character. In each Yuga when Shri Vishnu takes Avatar the other Devas(Deities of diffrent elements) also takes birth to support The Vishnu Avatar, they are called Ansh (partial) Avatars/Demigods. A partial avatar, or a manifestation of a deity with partial godly powers. In Mahabharata all Pandavas were partial avatars of different deities. Even Ashwatthama was partial Avatar of Shiva. Karna is one of the main protagonists/antagonist of the Hindu epic Mahābhārata. He is the son of the sun god Surya and princess Kunti (mother of the Pandavas), and thus a demigod of royal birth. Kunti was granted the boon to bear a child with desired divine qualities from the gods and without much knowledge, Kunti invoked the sun god to confirm it if it was true indeed. Karna was secretly born to an unmarried Kunti in her teenage years, and fearing outrage and backlash from society over her premarital pregnancy, Kunti had to abandon the newly born Karna adrift in a basket on the Ganges river. Karna was the loyal friend of the main antagonist of Mahabharata, Duryodhana He is a tragic hero in the Mahabharata, in category of "flawed good man". He meets his biological mother late in the epic, and then discovers that he is the elder maternal half-brother of those he is fighting against. He fought from the Adharma side and was killed by Arjuna in battle. There were many reference of Bhairava being Karna reincarnation in movie, the captain found him in basket,in introduction scene sunlight on him, whe Bhairava was taking to card reader ,the sun card appears. About Gandiva Bow, it was the bow of Arjuna, created by The Brahma. The bow is described as massive, radiant, and capable of unleashing a rain of arrows. It is said to have 108 strings made of cosmic elements, and was impossible to break. And the Vijaya Dhanush(Bow) was Karna's bow. The Vijaya bow, or Vijaya Dhanusha, is a divine bow in Hindu mythology that is said to guarantee victory to its wielder. The bow was created by Vishvakarma, the architect of the gods, for Shiva. So director had the idea that if he had to show that the Kalki Avatar is in danger. The villain has to be strong. So he gave the villain Ansh(part) of God and Gandiv bow(most powerful weapon). And the only weapon which can give competition to Gandiv is Vijaya Bow, Karna's bow. That is why he choosed Karna. It is kind of redemption story for both Karna and Ashwatthama. They both fought from Adharma (bad) side now they have chance to redeem themselves. Lord Krishna was also born in prison. Krishna's mother Devaki was sister of the king Kansa. One day an oracle told Kansa that the eighth son of Devaki would be the one to kill him and end his rule. Terrified of this, he imprisoned Devaki and her husband and killed 7 of their child. But during Krishna's birth something divine happened, the doors of prison cell which were all locked and protected by guards opened magically and all the guards were unconscious. A bright light filled the prison and Vasudeva was woken up by a divine voice that guided him to take Krishna across the Yamuna. Therefore, in order to protect lord Krishna, his father Vasudev carried him in a basket across the raging River Yamuna to Vrindavan. There Krishna was adopted and brought up by Yashoda and Nanda. It was a dark night with heavy rain and flooded Yamuna. There was another miracle that to give path to Vasudev and Krishna, the river Yamuna parted his waves. And a multi headed serpent protected them from heavy rain. Director Nag Ashwin took direct inspiration from this to show SUM 80 escape from complex. This time he showed fire parted to give path to the mother of the Avatar.

Hey Plot Pals, Loved your honest reaction and review of Kalki. Kalki has both extremes of cringe and epic scenes, you can feel epic only if you've knowledge of the Indian Epic Mahabharata and inside jokes (like Rajamouli's is one which you got), you should react to movies like 1) Hi Nanna ( romantic/drama) 2) SitaRamam (romantic/drama/comedy) 3) Lapata ladies (comedy) All are available in Netflix with OG language
There should be a disclaimer for this movie. This movie is a continuation of the story of Mahabharatha. The characters, references, easter eggs and aesthetics can't be appreciated without that background knowledge. As someone who has that background, I'd say this movie is far from the quality that Rajamouli delivers at an emotional level. But then, why do we hold it dear? Simply, we recognise it as a rare major attempt to connect with what we consider our past. That too, it's sci-fi, which is even rarer. The last proper scene from Tollywood was in 1991, Aditya 369. It is a rare attempt on a tight budget, and if we just diss it, producers would be too scared to even try on these lines. So you can see the comments defending it. You can criticise it but know that it is important for us to defend it. The rudeness of some of the comments is a symptom of our not-so-good education system. Anyway, nice to see you girls are going through these. Cheers!

@@dhimankalita1690 Come one dog...bark...
If they know "Ben-Hur" (1959) same was done for Jesus Christ. They should've got that.
@@kalakritistudios Overall, I know this movie isn't perfect. But it is absolutely not the wreck these two are saying it was. In fact, the second half is great, and the opening sequence till Prabhas shows up is a perfect set-up.

then why this movie was released overseas ? stop the cap punk now let me spill the real beans behind the very idea of this movie actually your Indian film makers have been trying since for a long while to create something globally remarkable which will stay forever alive universally all across the world somewhat like marvel franchise so they came up with some ideas previously as well like Krissh and few others but those didn't do really well on the global screens however this movie hyped itself so much that they even took bold step to promote it on international comicon expo thinking that it'll be a game changer for indian cinematography for the very 1st time and to be honest it did to a certain degree but nowhere close to marvel and other hollywood pinnacle of success stories. this movie was watched across the world specially in north america but by whom mostly the NRIs only no doubt as compared to other Indian movies which were launched outside India this one did pretty far ahead of them but not even an inch close to hollywood specials that's the only thing hence now the Indian audiences are capping hard that it was for Indians only LOL

Finally , I had written this for you guys hoping you will watch this movie and it will be hard to get reference to Mahabharata.
Some facts about the movie:-
The opening scene of the movie shows the Kurukshetra Battle (the biggest chapter of epic Mahabharata).
Acc. to him to do justice to the story it has to be made into 10 parts.)
Back to the movie:-
The first scene of movie features Ashwatthama, is from the end of the battle.
In Hinduism, The four yugas(ages)are the Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and the Kali Yuga(the ongoing one)
Each yuga represents a decline in the spiritual life of humans, followed by a period of renewal and a new Satya Yuga. The yugas are also said to correspond to a decline in the moral and physical state of humanity.
Each Yuga being progressively shorter than the previous one. One yuga is equal to average around 12,000 years on Earth.
The three main gods of Hinduism are Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, who make up the Trimurti:
Brahma: The god of creation
Vishnu: The god of preservation
Shiva: The god of destruction
According to Hinduism, Shri Hri (God) Vishnu takes Avatars to restore balance and order to the universe during times of need, which are called Yugas.
Karna was the loyal friend of the main antagonist of Mahabharata, Duryodhana
He is a tragic hero in the Mahabharata, in category of "flawed good man".

If you dont have any knowledge about Hinduism, and Indian movies then dont react on indian movies, go and react on your hollywood😂 movies like all man's😅 superman spiderman etc..😅

look closely the moment he was holding the girl the rock on which he was putting pressure to bring the girl up it suddenly broke in to pieces due to the immense force and his huge body weight
& as it happend so suddenly he lost his grip it has nothing to do with his strength 😂😂😂
i love how stupid and sarcastic u girls are at the same time keep rocking just talk whatever u want😂😂😂
5000+ years ago. Thats beauty of Hinduism, Karna was bad guy but he is respected for his whole life.
Jealousy on peak they just cant digest when other nation film industry make big budget films 😂
As an Indian, I am ASHAMED to see the comments made by the people of my country.
One thing I want to tell both of you about South-Indian movie industry is that the fans of that industry are very TOXIC.
I apologize on behalf of those people who made bad comments about you.
Both of you are strong women !!!
What the heck are you even saying bro? If someone acts immature from the beginning then it is obvious to expect something more sensible towards the end. Right? For ex: Expecting Bhairava to kiss Sum80 (Lord's mother) while saving her and then fantasizing herself in place of mother... I mean what is wrong with these guys? Obviously they will get trolled, don't feel bad and don't blame south industry movie's fans. Even I'm (from Raipur) shocked after watching such horrible reaction 🤷
@SmartBunty-g7d bro they don't know anything about our country, because they are foreigners. Why are we so hypersensitive ??
@@buddhistmonk-qu6cq you think I'm being hypersensitive? When someone don't know the context atleast they should try to understand a little bit through content. And I do bet they still don't get a thing about the content let alone the context. You tell me bro, how would you feel if someone goes to the theatre with you and start commenting stupid things (for ex: Calling princess the B- word even before the scene starts, Princess got pregnant by Brahmastra) every point while sitting beside you until the movie ends. I guess you will be annoyed! 🤷
@@SmartBunty-g7d if a foreigner goes to a theater with his Indian friend to watch this movie, he/she will never say such things, because the foreigner would have been cued about that movie by the Indian friend.
The main point is that these two foreigners don't know anything about our country. Moreover, they live in western liberal countries. That is why they are reacting like this, and they are not hypersensitive like us.
@@buddhistmonk-qu6cqdon't repeat the same points again and again brother. You yourself mentioned they live in western liberal countries and so? Are they dumb? I have watched many reactions by other foreigners and you even know there is a difference between mature and immature (attitude like 'I don't care') behaviour. Foreigner or not even a 10 year old child will watch the movie with curiosity and give a better reaction rather than just behaving like this! And what are you using the word 'hypersensitive' for? If people don't like it they can openly express their feelings, right? And I don't think people said something which is untrue about these two. So please if you like it then keep that to yourself 😅
There are references from Hindu epic, Mahabharata. Kindly don't disrespect, it may hurt religious sentiments of people. And, do some research before reacting any kind of movies!
Please watch the movie of Hero Nani (The Natural Star)
1. Hi Nana
2. Saripoda Sanivaram
In Telugu .....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Upload the Full fledged movie not the cutting version
you guys have to watch salaar/ my fav movie of prabahs after baahubali. or maybe do saaho
You two remind me what chris hemsworth said to Scarlett, he said-" you are lucky you are good looking, because you got nothing up there!"
😂
yeah they really did prabahs dirty with that look tbh😭. but I hope you guys watch salaar.
I think before watching this movie you have to watch the nag Ashwin video about this movie . Btw this movie is related to the Mahabharata incident and future avatar of Vishnu know as Kalki
so director wants this movie to be enjoyable to children thats why its soo basic and doesnt take it self too serious, at parts
You 2 are fools to understand this movie... Only an indian understand this movie bcoz this movie is connecred with indian culture.
If Rajamoli direct same movie he would have done some wonder 😂
I saw through this entire thing, & the comments are right. It reeks of film school pretentiousness & random pickings
love your reviews on movies in general. Please watch salaar
OK as a movie it has many flaws and very mid...but you guys had zero understanding of the caharacters and the context...you should have researched a bit and then maybe reacted, also dont prejudge the scene and give the other girl have some organic reactions she was more of a yes girl here...watch the movie together and judge that atleast makes sense...super low effort reaction.
Watch salaar movie also
You two ladies are too disrespectful, don't watch if you don't know the context , it is a matter of our sentiments
Love from Telugu always ❤
This movie is not for u bcz u don't have any context it's work for us bcz we know history and references, so don't mock someone arts if u don't know nothing about that n showing like u r true cinephiles n u have knowledge, whole time these two rats were unnecessary laughing n doing blind criticism nitpicking
Please kind request Don't watch our cinema u just watch for views we know cinema so don't teach us what's good or bad
Why this girls yapping so much 💀

@@ThePlotPals no but I wanna ask question ( seriously)
Why you watch movies without having any context ? 💀
@@ThePlotPalsyes please, because you only shit when you open mouth.
This film is a revolution for Indian cinema showing us vfx never seen before and a huge leap in terms of storytelling showing us our own Gods this way never done before this cgi might be common for you guys but this is the most expensive film ever done bringing the biggest stars and telling the continuation of an epic mahabarath you guys might can't overlook the flaws bit for us it is a blockbuster I mean for us it is better than bahubali 1
Hey Plot Pals,
Loved your honest reaction and review of Kalki.
Kalki has both extremes of cringe and epic scenes,
you can feel epic only if you've knowledge of the Indian Epic Mahabharata and inside jokes (like Rajamouli's is one which you got), you should react to movies like
1) Hi Nanna ( romantic/drama)
2) SitaRamam (romantic/drama/comedy)
3) Lapata ladies (comedy)
All are available in Netflix with OG language
Rajamouli ❤❤❤
If u dont understand the movie then no need to watch.
Guys why don't you both react to the movie in front of us. We want reaction videos in which at end of the video you can give your reviews
wtf r u guys doin krishna is god and yes he is black... now listen to those convo and dont shit around
Cheers!
Yes mam, this movies are made for only indian audience so, best not watch it. For outsiders it is hard to understand.
