    love the comparison and that you actually show how you use the tablet close up (not screen capture of the tablet's screen). - I had been thinking about the Kamvas; las time I checked the XP-Pen it was still the previous gen and there were a number of people complaining about ragged edges and inexplicable jitter. That kicked it off the radar for me - you just put it back on it!

      Hello Anakianaj , To be completely honest the XPpen totally surprised us. WE have several different tablets we love to use but the XPpen is now the favorite.

    Because there are so many similarly named tablets I would suggest titling this video "Huion Kamvas Pro 16 2.5K vs. XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 GEN2". And also I suggest including the model numbers in the description (GT1602 for the Huion and MD160QH for the XP-Pen.)

    Thanks for this review, I'm deciding between the 19 4k models of both Huion and xppen, I have the old huion 16in 2021 model and hated the AG sparkle, also like drawing on a smoother surface so probs will go for the xppen! this was very helpful, thankyou

      I ended up getting both to try out, couldn’t even get the HUION one to work properly because the driver wouldn’t recognise the device! Tried on both Mac and pc. Also the screen was sharper on the xppen.

    Hello,
    That's the best comparison I've seen!
    Thanks.
    For many others it is not clear which version of Huion Kamvas is being compared.
    I just ordered the Huion Kamvas Pro16 (not 2K), it arrived today, I just unpacked it.
    I probably ordered hastily, I didn't realize that a 2K resolution compared to 1920*1080 makes such a huge difference in the line quality or drawing feeling.
    I then “stumbled” across the 2K variants while looking for my first tablet.
    The XPPen Pro16 Gen2 caught my eye here simply because of its very good advertising.
    Based on your comparison of the two 2K models, I would definitely take the XPPen Pro 16 gen2.
    It is significantly more expensive than the non-2K variants. But for the future maybe. a better decision.
    I am an absolute beginner and would like to start with CSP.
    You can't use gesture control e.g. zoom into the image?
    Thanks for your answer and great comparison
    Greetings from Germany

      @mosscharmly  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello christianfilouler, Thank you for liking the video, the 2k version is definitely a good choice for a tablet they seam to be more pixel dens for the size. to answer if you can use gestures it would be no sadly but the keyboard shortcuts that can be used are a good alternative.

    Hi! I'm thinking of getting the xppen artist 16 pro gen 2, and I was wondering about the screen heating up after prolonged use? It isn't mentioned in most reviews, but I heard from some that it gets pretty hot, really fast. What was it like in your experience? Thanks in advance!

      Hello JA11206, the XpPen dose get hot at the top . It is not unbearable. It is more worm than HOT , was using it yesterday for over 4 hours and didn't notice it unless i was feeling for it. We do recommend keeping the brightness bellow 90% or even lower 85% . It really isn't bad. Its a really great tablet , supper responsive. We would recommend it to family, honestly!

    I also bought the xp pen artist pro 16 gen 2, and I sort of understand the issue with the remote. You hold the tablet, the metal pen case then the pen, then you pick up the plastic remote, it just feels not up to par with the rest of the set.

    Thank you for making this video. How good woud you say is the screen sharpness on the XP PEN compared to a 1080 monitor? I have a Huion 22 inch 1080p monitor and i want somethnig sharper. Are you able to see the pixels on the XP PEN? Thank you.

    • @mosscharmly
      @mosscharmly  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello mavr1k440. Thank you for watching the video. The screen resolution of the Xppen is basically 1440p at 60hrtz with an inch added to the horizontal . In the real life or a non infomercial way the screen is very pixel dens and the colors are really good , It is a real recommendation this thing is our favorite tablet . The only downside is it gets warm, so its brightness is always set at 90 but it is still bright enough to work with as a daily driver. Thank you agin .

    Are there no initial touch registration issue? I tried the xp pen 15.6 before and the initial touch bothers me so much. It looses its response when I draw lightly. Are these not prone to ths issue?

    • @mosscharmly

      Hello Fujji695, We have to say the the sensitivity of pressure on the XPpen is above all other tablets we have used in the past. When sketching in my sketch book traditionally i find my self letting the weight of the pen or pencil be incorporated in my technique , the Xppen allows me to do the same .

    Originally I was going to get something a bit larger then I saw this and now I am so very confused. I wanted to know if both have a touch screen for zooming in and rotating the canvas. Also do they both work equally as well with Mac OS? I know I need something and was thinking of going larger then saw this review. I have been using a 2017 iPad Pro attached to my desktop using an app and it f=drives me crazy! Also another little question is can I use the drawing tablet like this attached to my iPad and draw in Procreate? I have a small screen printing business and also do other design work for printing. Sorry to ask so many questions but I don't have anyone else to ask. Really anything is going to be better than my current set up. I hope you can share some info here. I appreciate your review. CD

    • @mosscharmly
      @mosscharmly  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello DylanDurant-d2n, Ok both of the the tablets do not support touch screen features, like pinch to zoom and to finger rotate like the iPad has in procreate. The tablets will only work if connected to a computer sadly they will not work with an iPad . Controlling an insldistration, tilt and zoom and other shortcuts are dependent on the software that you would use. the shortcuts are keyboard imputes ore a handheld gamepad like an 8bitdo micro. The Huion comes with side buttons that you can program to do what you would like it to do the XPpen has a little keyboard that you can customize as well. we hope this helps if you have any other questions let us know.

      @@mosscharmly Thanks so much I really appreciate your reply! I have spent weeks trying to decide and I need something as soon as possible but just right to make the right decision. I keep going back and forth between the two and now there is the new Artist Pro 19" that was just released. I will be working on an iMac with my Pen Display. I will watch your review again now. Also do you think the 16" displays are big enough as a first user? I design and screen print my own work on textiles and other surfaces. I would like to do larger screen prints eventually too on paper. Do you like the aspect ratio of the XP Pen here better than the Huion? I will check back to see if you have had a minute to reply. Are you going to be trying the 19" models? Larger than that might be too large for my space.

    Hi. I watched your review and another one that convinced me to buy the XP Pen 16 Pro Gen 2.I spend weeks reading up and watching all kinds of reviews. It finally arrived yesterday. It will not connect to my iMac desktop. My desktop only has USB-A ports and one HDMI port. The cables that came are USB-C to USB-C. I did not purchase anything else. I have been online chatting with Apple support and they said my iMac cannot be used with the XP Pen devices!!!! I am so stressed out. I have just been speaking with Apple support and they said the XP Pen will not work with iMc. I hope they are wrong.

      Hello DylanDurant-d2n, There is a cable that XPpen that may solve the problem . Its the 3-in-1 cable that works with the Artist Pro 16 Gen2 Drawing Tablet . One more thing , on the top of the tablet make sure you are putting the cable in the correct port because it wont work if it isn't.
      The Gen 2 will work on Macs with the Yosemite OS 10.10 all the way up to 10.13 or High Sierra and newer just make sure the os is up to date.
      Make sure you are also using the correct drivers for the Mac Os you are running. Install the drivers before you plug in the tablet. and then tern it on. It should work just fine.

      @@mosscharmly Oh my thanks so much. I actually have ordered that cable. and am waiting for it to arrive. I have downloaded the correct drivers too. I was so distressed when I talked to someone at Apple who told me I definitely could not use a pen display with an iMac! I also was told I needed to by the correct thunderbolt to HDMI cable for my computer which I ordered 2 of from different sellers....worrying that I did not get the correct thing so covering all bases. My communication with XP Pen was very confusing because they don't have the best English skills and it takes forever for them to reply.
      Lastly they said I will need to also provide power and plug it into the wall. This confuses me. I guess when all of the cords get here I will just have to muck around and see. Thanks so much. Where the pen tip is and my cursor or any line or anything I try to do is about 2 inches [50mm] apart! There is no way it can be used. The instruction manual has not much info. Nothing on the website and I wasted several days trying to find info, restart my computer, uninstall and reinstall drivers. Nothing works. I do not know where to look for help. Hello DylanDurant-d2n ,, Sorry for the delayed response . Ok it sounds to us that the problem might be that the IMac screen and the tablet getting confused about witch one is the main display . We have some Ideas. In system setting go to Displays, and you should see both displays. I am assuming one says Imac display and the other XPpen. Make the Xppen the Main display in the Use as dropdown menu. Restart and see if that works, if not then go bake to Displays and in the Use as menu Set the Xppen and Main display and the Imac to mirror the Xppen. If it works Recalibrate the pen and away you go , crossing our fingers let us know how it goes .

      @@mosscharmly I just wanted to say I finally had a long session with XP Pen a tech team person. They had to do some things remotely accessing my computer. The driver that was supposed to work on my computer was wrong so I had to uninstall it and get another driver. Then we did a few other things. Sadly the lag in Affinity Designer 1 & 2 in the vector brushes and all vector parts of the program do not work well with lots of bad lag. Pixel brushes are better. I now need to explore other drawing programs. It is a bummer because I have used Affinity for so long now. Learning new applications take time. I am telling you this in case it can help someone else.
